From MC's Perspective:

Just as I was about to open the door to leave, my badge buzzed again. When I accessed the information, the message appeared.

[If you don't come, you will face serious consequences. I'm Meteor Supreme Filip.]

After reading the message, my eyes turned icy.

"I was right. They are up to something," I muttered. Then I recalled Manager Lara's warning. Should I report to her?

I tried to call her, but she didn't pick up the call. A bad premonition rose in my heart. Then I sent her a message, hoping that she would reply.

Knock!

Shortly afterward, there was a knock on the door. I raised my eyebrows in doubt.

Creak!

I opened the door. The next second, I saw the old man whom I didn't want to see.

"Hey, kid. You dared to disrespect Lord Erwin's words," Filip said with a sinister smile.

Hearing that, I didn't reply. But I knew I was being cornered right now. My words could be used against me.

"Kid, come with me if you don't want to face punishment," Filip said, then turned around to leave.

I suppressed my turbulent heart. Then I stepped out of the room and began to follow him. Manager Lara didn't reply; I thought she was not here. It could be because of them.

I glared at the person walking before me.

Soon, we reached the lobby area, and I saw the middle-aged man with a short haircut sitting on the sofa. My heart beat faster upon seeing him.

"Lord, I brought this kid here," Filip said with a happy smile as he went over to his side.

Erwin raised his head and looked at me. He cracked a wide grin, thinking this kid would not come down to meet him. For this, he had even sent Lara away to do some errands.

Now he thought it wasn't needed at all. To be honest, if it weren't for old Filip, he wouldn't have targeted him. But unfortunately, old Filip is one of the Supremes of their faction.

He had done so many things for them. It wouldn't be good if he and his faction failed to support him. He then cast aside his thoughts and said, "Vincent Carey, it's good that you have come down to see me."

"If you had disrespected me, I have ways to punish you. Even Charlotte won't be able to stop me," he added.

On the other hand, uneasiness appeared in my heart. But I was feeling glad that I was right to take the risk. If he had wielded Forbidden Wizard's authority, things would have turned bad for me.

"Lord, is there anything you wanted to see me for?" I asked.

Filip was surprised. He didn't expect this kid to speak without fear. He had thought I would tremble in fear upon facing the forbidden wizard.

Even Erwin's mouth curved into an arc.

"Good, I have something I want you to do," Erwin said.

"Go to the Black Mine outside of the magic city. Then meet a Supreme Wizard named Hellen. She is a wizard of our Silver Tower."

"She will give you a parcel. Your job is to take the parcel and come back," he added.

Hearing that, I was stunned. I hadn't expected him to say something like this. He was basically asking me to run errands for him. But why did I feel there was a sinister plan behind it?

But at least this was not a dangerous task. I could take care of other schemes if there were any.

"Okay, Lord. I'll do it," I replied.

"Good, you can go now," Erwin said.

Hearing that, I nodded to him before leaving.

Not long after, old man Filip opened his mouth.

"Lord, why do you give him an easy task?" Filip asked.

He was expecting some dangerous task so that the kid couldn't return alive.

Erwin's eyes turned serious. His cold gaze fell on Filip. The next second, Filip shuddered in fear. He realized he had crossed the line.

He was a Supreme Wizard, not even a Magic Lord. Yet he was speaking against a Forbidden Wizard.

The next second, he said, "Lord, forgive me!"

"I made a grave mistake by speaking against you."

"Harumph!" Erwin snorted.

The reason he was doing this was that he had not completely sidelined Vincent Carey. He was impressed by Vincent Carey's win against Tom Doyle. Not many could do that. So he was going to test him.

"If this kid really has the potential to become a Forbidden Wizard, then there is no point in eliminating such an asset," he thought.

He then stood up from the sofa and left the place while old man Filip was stunned. He felt humiliated. He had thought Lord Erwin would do something serious.

But he had given him errands.

"No, I'll take this opportunity to kill the kid," Filip thought.

He was not going to target him directly. There were ways to do it.

His mouth curved into a cold arc as he thought about the Black Tower. He knew as long as Vincent Carey's information was leaked, the Black Tower might do something to eliminate the threat of Vincent Carey. Because they were known for doing such things.

If Vincent Carey had come from a strong background, they wouldn't have thought of attacking. But he came from a humble background.

There were a lot of people who didn't like the emergence of a new wizard from the Silver Tower. It could affect their interests.

Old man Filip's eyes flickered. The next second, he walked out of the Silver Tower. Then he went to the Magic City.

On the other hand, Lord Erwin watched him leave from the Silver Tower. His eyes flashed with anger.

"He doesn't have the potential to become a Magic Lord, let alone the Forbidden Level. I hope he knows his limit. Even the factions are not blind enough to ignore the Magic Tower's interest," Erwin thought.

Even Forbidden Wizard Charlotte wouldn't have imagined Erwin's calculations. All her worries were for naught.
