Gravity Mage with Level-Up System-Chapter 1331: Part 2: Blue Stone Auction
From MC's Perspective:
The Blue Stone Auction Room,
He said, "Ladies and gentlemen, you must have already guessed it."
"Yes, it's a Grade 9 Magic Artifact. It's suitable for Sword-Type and Water Elemental Wizards," he said in a calm tone.
The next second, on both sides of the auction stage, there was a big screen playing the live video of the auction.
Everyone could see the beautiful blue sword on the screen.
But his voice echoed throughout the place. From the lower seats to the private rooms, everyone could hear him clearly.
"The price of the Grade 9 Blue Magic Sword Artifact is 1 million top-grade mana stones," he added.
Gasp!
People exclaimed once again. This time it was because of the price. Usually, the mid-grade mana stones were the lowest bid.
This time, the price was set for the top-grade mana stones.
Many of the interested people sitting in the lower seats could only sigh to themselves. They were hoping for the price to be in mid-grade mana stones.
It was affordable for them. But to their surprise, the Grade 9 Magic Artifact's price was set at 1 million top-grade mana stones.
"What happened to the Blue Stone Auction guys?"
"They're trying to rip us off."
"We could buy something similar at mid-grade mana stone prices."
"The Blue Stone guys are cheating us."
"If I had known, I wouldn't have come."
People in the lower seats started to discuss in low tones. But it's not that others couldn't hear them. Despite being blocked by the glass, people in the private rooms could hear them clearly.
Inside the private room, Jason Nicholson felt bad. He could have used this chance to convince Vincent Carey. But before that could happen, the people in the lower seats had started complaining.
There was live streaming of the auction playing on the big screen in the private room as well. Jason Nicholson saw that the Magic Level-9 Sword was another Magic Artifact.
If the newcomer paid for it, he would suffer.
"Damn it," he uttered in a low voice.
Sitting beside him, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Jason's thoughts were written all over his face. As a Gravity Elemental Wizard, why would he need a sword?
On top of that, he didn't have the money to bid on auction items.
Of course, he couldn't tell him. He continued to watch the auction with a smile on his face.
On the stage, presenter Carlson's expression darkened. But he had expected the reaction. It was something discussed during their meeting.
They wanted to raise the level of the Blue Stone Auction House, so they couldn't allow mid-grade mana stones for bidding.
"Silence!" he uttered.
His voice fell like thunder in the ears of the complaining people. They were people without background. Carlson could teach them a lesson.
The next second, the place quieted down.
"The first auction item, the Grade-9 Magic Blue Sword, is priced at 1 million top-grade mana stones. Guests can start their bidding now," he said.
Hearing that, no one raised the bid. Everyone was quiet.
If the first auction item didn't sell, it would become an embarrassment for the Blue Stone Auction. The manager and the staff were nervously watching from behind the scenes.
They had made the decision after careful planning. They had bet their hopes on rich second-generation kids. They usually buy these items as luxurious goods, not to use them to fight against someone.
Just as the presenter was about to give up—
"1.1 million," a beautiful female voice sounded from one of the private rooms.
Hearing that, everyone was shocked. No one was expecting someone to bid using the top-grade stones.
But presenter Carlson's eyes lit up. The people behind the scenes showed a sense of relief. Someone was going to buy their item. Their plan was indeed successful.
Presenter Carlson quickly said, "The guest from the 2nd private room has made a bid for 1.1 million. Is there anyone who wants to raise the price?"
Hearing that, no one made a response. Carlson asked one more time. Seeing that no one was willing to raise the price—
"1.1 million goes for the first time!"
"1.1 million goes for the second time!"
"1.1 million goes for the third time."
"The auction item is sold to the guest in the 2nd private room," presenter Carlson said.
Gasp!
The audience gasped in surprise again. They thought someone was helping to save face for the Blue Stone Auction.
Otherwise, no one could buy a Magic Level-9 Artifact for 1.1 million top-grade stones.
A female staff member came on stage to collect the sold item. When she saw it was gone, presenter Carlson's expression changed. From here onwards, there would be important items.
"The next item is going to be a huge one. It's the skull of the Ancient Supreme Wizard," he said with a smile.
Gasp!
"Ancient Physique Supreme!"
The wizards in the lower seats exclaimed again. In today's magic city, the Supreme Wizards are not that superior. Wizards have attained two more magic levels above it.
But in ancient times, the Supreme level used to be the ceiling. People in ancient times could reach the Supreme Level without a proper education system; they can be called geniuses.
Those who have attained either have strong magic or smart brains. But in most cases, it was the first one. Even with its ancient skull, people won't hesitate to buy it for study.
Inside Jason's private room,
Jason Nicholson's eyes flickered. He thought there was something worth making Vincent Carey bid. He knew the importance of the Supreme Skull. But he didn't need it.
If he could make Vincent Carey fall into a debt trap, then he could control him. More importantly, he doubted whether Vincent Carey could make use of it.
It would take years for Supreme Wizards to learn something from the ancient bones of the Supreme Wizards. So he thought Vincent Carey wouldn't be able to find anything.
Thinking about the plan, he smiled.
