Ever since that ambush where she destroyed the Western Continent, Charlotte had been thinking about how she could possibly defeat the Origin.

The Origin’s power was everywhere. As the origin of Myria’s extraordinary, Their aura had long since fused with the world of Myria; the omnipresent magic could itself be regarded as Origin power diluted countless times.

And unlike other gods, although a Creation-rank being still possessed godhood and divine flame, those were no longer the foundation of a Creation-rank being.

Charlotte, who had already stepped into that rank, understood this very well.

Once one crossed into that level, the very existence of a god became one of the fundamental laws that constitute all things in the world.

As long as a trace of the god’s existence remained, as long as the god’s laws still lingered in the world, then even if godhood shattered and divine flame went out, a Creation-rank god could use that single trace as an anchor point and return directly.

That trace did not only include divine power; it also included the memories that other intelligent beings had of the Creation-rank god.

And that sliver of law did not only mean the god’s power; it also represented the god’s use of law to reshape the world.

In other words… unless the Myria world that the Origin had remade was destroyed, Charlotte fundamentally could not kill the Origin.

Then came the next question: if she did destroy Myria, would Charlotte be able to kill the Origin?

Of course not.

Because the Origin would flee—and when a Creation-rank being chose to escape, no one could stop Them.

Which meant that only one path remained for Charlotte.

She had to strip the Origin’s power away from the Myria world, and then… trap Them within some prison They could never transcend, suppress Them, and erase Them!

Looking at it from this angle, Charlotte really did think of one perfect prison.

Her own body.

Or, more precisely, that “body of flesh” of hers that had stepped into Creation-rank, fusing Origin power and blood-divine power!

This was not some wild fantasy of Charlotte’s.

Even in the previous cycle, this very body of hers had already been targeted by the Origin.

The “Charlotte” vessel that had accepted an otherworldly soul had long since, under the ceaseless remolding of blood-divine power, gained Creation-rank properties equal to those of the Origin. To the Origin, it was the best possible vessel for Them to descend into.

On top of that, blood-divine power—a creation law of the same rank—was an excellent tonic for the Origin’s own law.

So, if the opportunity arose, the Origin would never pass up the immense temptation of devouring blood-divine power and seizing Charlotte’s body.

And that was exactly what the Origin had done.

Watching her own growth this time from the perspective of the Gospel of Blood, Charlotte had discovered the problem.

Back when she first transmigrated, the Origin had already noticed her, and had already left a seed of Their power—an Origin corruption—on her.

In other words, it had always been inevitable that her past self would be devoured by the Origin and have her body taken.

But that was still not enough.

As she had said, the Origin’s power was everywhere.

If she only destroyed the portion of Origin power that invaded her body, that would never be enough to defeat the Origin.

She had to make the Origin stake everything. She had to force Them to completely abandon all power that had existed within Myria, force Them to gather all Their strength into one place and put everything on the line. Only then would she get a chance to kill the Origin completely.

But how could the Origin possibly give everything up?

No.

There was still a possibility.

Charlotte’s gaze fell upon the grey-white light in her sea of consciousness that was gradually condensing into a human shape; beneath her red-gold eyes was nothing but ice.

The only reason They refused to give everything up and refused to go all-in was for the sake of safety; They still had a retreat.

In that case… all Charlotte had to do was destroy that retreat for Them.

As for how…

Looking at the Will of Origin forming in her sea of consciousness, Charlotte let out a soft laugh and said,

“Origin, if I’m not mistaken, you’re actually not very good at laws of time and space, are you?”

“No—that’s not quite right. I should say… time and space are not the foundation of your laws. ‘Creation and Destruction’ are.”

The foundation of law.

If, when she had first attained Creation-rank, Charlotte’s rank could still be said to be something forcibly stacked up to reach that level, then after several thousand years of tempering, she had completely grasped her power.

Yes, Creation-rank divine power could do anything.

But even Creation-rank power had distinctions.

The difference lay in the foundational law a god chose to build upon when stepping into the Creation-rank.

That foundational law could be considered the creation law a Creation-rank being possessed. It was far stronger than any other law that god grasped, and at the same time… it was the core law that god held.

The Origin’s foundation was [Creation and Destruction].

What about Charlotte?

What was Charlotte’s law foundation?

It was [Time and Space].

Yes—what Charlotte had raised to Creation-rank was not [Devouring], nor [Bloodline], but [Time and Space]!

That was the groundwork left behind by Lilith after opening the cycle of reincarnation again and again; it was the final gift “Lilith” left to Charlotte from those [histories] that had already turned to illusion!

And Charlotte’s repeated travels through time were the very foundation that completed the ritual for elevating her rank!

She had only gradually realized all of this after she disguised herself as the Gospel of Blood.

This was the final gift left to her by the Lilith of that very first history, meant to fight the Origin.

And it would also be the sharpest sword Charlotte wielded against the Origin!

Charlotte’s eyes dropped once more to the grey-white radiance taking shape in her sea of consciousness; her red-gold gaze was frozen over.

She chuckled softly and spoke the key to victory.

“Origin, in truth… you’re afraid of me, aren’t you?”

“You’re afraid of my ability to travel through history and overturn cause and effect. That’s why you went so far as to forcefully lock the River of Time.”

“However, time and space are not your ‘foundational law.’ Your foundation is ‘Creation and Destruction.’”

“Precisely because you’re not skilled in this path, your attempt to forcefully seal it is what caused the River of Time to shatter!”

“Now, although you’ve barely patched the river back together, I’ve already climbed to Creation rank. We… have both reached the end of this river, the point where every ‘Lilith’ and every ‘Charlotte’ falls again and again.”

“For you, to end this endless cycle, you must completely seize my body and steal my [Time and Space] rank.”

“But you, bound so deeply to the Myria world, have trapped yourself here. The nature of the [Time and Space] law is ‘transcendence’ and ‘infinite possibility.’ So long as you trap yourself in a single world, you’ll never meet the conditions to take it.”

“If you want my rank, you must first reclaim every shred of power scattered throughout Myria and ‘free’ yourself. And so—”

Charlotte’s voice was firm as iron, carrying the scorn of someone who had seen through everything.

“You had no choice but to come here, into my body, and fight me. This was never your optimal plan, but the power I showed in the Western Continent battle made you feel true fear.”

“You were afraid—afraid that if I traveled once more, I would create a variable you couldn’t control. So you had to come; you had to… step into this prison I prepared for you!”

In the sea of consciousness, the Origin formed of grey-white radiance spoke again, Their will carrying an icy mercilessness.

“So what?”

The light suddenly swelled, radiating a pressure that made the entire sea of consciousness tremble.

“Charlotte de Castell, how do you know this isn’t my own plan and desire?”

Boom—!!!

Indescribable power surged in an instant, surpassing the limits of imagination!

The Origin no longer held anything back. All the extraordinary power They had devoured and accumulated over thousands of years from the Myria world erupted in that moment!

The pallid divine light exploded, that vast might like the entire world’s weight compressed into a single point, smashing down upon Charlotte’s will!

In an instant, the crimson sea of consciousness let out a wail as if unable to bear the strain, great swaths crumbling and annihilating, swallowed by the pallid glow.

The battle became almost one-sided.

With a casual sweep, the Origin cycled Creation and Destruction, spawning countless phantom worlds and then returning them to nothing the instant they were born. The power unleashed in that fleeting instant of birth and death shredded the divine barriers Charlotte had raised again and again.

Charlotte’s figure was driven back and ripped apart multiple times in the tidal wave of pallid light. Though she could reconstruct herself in an instant by virtue of being Creation-rank, her aura was visibly plummeting.

Her counterattacks crashed against the breakers like surf on rock—futile and weak.

“You planned quite well.”

The Origin’s silhouette hovered above the shattered sea of consciousness, looking down on Charlotte as she struggled to reassemble her form. Their will held absolute indifference and a hint of mockery.

“Unfortunately, before absolute power, all schemes are illusions. Having fused with the thousands of years of accumulation of this great material world of Myria, I am far beyond what a newly risen one like you can compare to.”

“You have no idea what true creation power is. No matter how many times you struggle, how many cycles you endure, faced with this difference in power, you will… never escape.”

Pallid Origin divine power coiled upward, beginning to invade the core of Charlotte’s divine soul, seeking to completely overwrite and erase her will, her memories—everything.

Yet at this moment when the end seemed all but decided, Charlotte—who by all rights should have been in despair—suddenly… smiled.

There was a hint of release in that smile, and a hint of the satisfaction of a plan coming to fruition.

“Hehe. You’re in a hurry.”

She lifted her head. In her red-gold eyes, the opponent’s overwhelming silhouette was reflected. The corner of her lips curled slightly as she whispered.

“Origin…”

“You really don’t understand [Time and Space].”

Hum—!

A gate that could not be described by any color opened behind Charlotte without warning.

Beyond the gate lay the River of Time that had already been sealed!

“History cannot be changed, but it can be created.”

Charlotte’s voice became ethereal and immense.

“You say my cycles are futile? No. Every one of those cycles was actually a reinforcement—one more… coordinate.”

“Now, the cycle of the River of Time has ended, and you yourself have opened the final prison… from here on out, it’s my home turf.”

“It’s time to create a history that belongs only to me, Charlotte de Castell!”

With that, Charlotte spread her arms.

Behind her, the River of Time suddenly expanded, becoming incomparably clear.

And within those surging waters, one figure after another emerged—

Golden hair, crimson eyes, seated upon a throne, blood moon hanging high, divine power raging!

Every one of them was Charlotte.

They were Charlottes from different fragments of history, from countless branching possibilities—each having crossed their own lethal trials and ascended to Creation rank.

In the past, Myria’s history had been locked by the Origin; these possible branches of history had been annihilated along with it.

But now, with the Origin having returned to Their place and withdrawn Their power from the Myria world, those branches reappeared!

In this moment, Charlotte directly used the Gate of Time and Space to draw all of these “parallel-world” selves… over to her!

One, two, ten, a hundred…

Countless brilliant streams of light were forcibly pulled from the depths of illusory history and summoned forth.

Each one bore its own Creation-rank power and thousands of years of accumulation. Now, under the present Charlotte’s guidance, they turned into purest torrents of law and power, crossing the boundary of time and space to briefly merge with her!

With each figure that fused into her, Charlotte’s aura soared another level!

Her power rose exponentially, in an instant breaking through some limit and reaching a level that made even the Origin feel a chill.

In a heartbeat, that crushing pallid power was pushed back and compressed by an even vaster, deeper crimson light!

“This… is impossible!”

“History is already fixed; you’ve already leapt out of the River of Time. How can there still be so many ‘possibilities’?!”

For the first time, an emotion called “terror” appeared in the Origin’s ever-indifferent will. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

But soon, They realized something and stared hard at Charlotte.

“I… understand. It was just now! That ‘you’ you sent back to the ancient era!”

“You… didn’t close that temporal passage at once. You were waiting for me… to detach from Myria!”

Charlotte smiled.

“Looks like you’re not completely ignorant of [Time and Space].”

“But unfortunately, it’s too late.”

For the first time, panic appeared in the Origin.

They tried to withdraw, to sever Their link, only to realize that the Origin power They had sent in here was already bound tightly by countless invisible chains of time and space—like an insect trapped in amber, unable to be retrieved!

“[Time and Space] means infinite possibility, and it also means a single final end.”

Charlotte stood at the center of her sea of consciousness; by now, her aura had completely surpassed the Origin’s.

She looked down upon that struggling pallid radiance and pronounced the final verdict.

“Now…”

“The one who can’t escape—”

“Is you.”
