Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 39 Little Fairy Evolution
Chapter 39: Chapter 39 Little Fairy Evolution
The Golden Dragon lay coiled among the flowers, lazily basking in the sunlight. The little fairies fluttered around him, cleaning the dust from his scales, making them shine even brighter. Some of the bolder ones carefully wove vines and flowers, draping them over Noah’s dragon horns and decorating along his dragon body.
Noah didn’t mind this at all, because he truly enjoyed this serene and harmonious atmosphere, feeling a rare sense of peace and relaxation, even allowing his weary heart to unwind quite a bit.
However, because of his indulgence and leniency, the little fairies had grown increasingly bold, with some even daring to lie on his tail and sleep, quite courageously.
"Your Highness, you seem really happy!"
The little blue butterfly fairy, Sifreya, who emanated a hazy glow, softly said while gently tidying up and polishing the scales on Noah’s chest.
"Hmm? Is it that obvious?"
Noah, half-squinting in fake sleep, reacted and looked towards the little fairy in front of him.
"I can sense a bit of it."
Noticing Noah’s gaze, Sifreya couldn’t help but shrink back a little, showing noticeable differences in demeanor compared to the majority of uninhibited fairies.
"Sense?"
After consuming the Golden Fruit, experiencing a learning session entirely different from the past, Noah couldn’t help but immerse himself in the ocean of arcane knowledge, expending a great deal of energy; however, the Golden Dragon became alert and earnestly observed the little fairy in front of him.
He had spent a fair amount of time with these little fairies, initially, because they had witnessed the great power of his parents, they were afraid to approach the Dragon Nest, trembling and prostrating in front of him, and among the three little fairies only this one had remained consistently, even more respectfully towards him.
The other two, though still respectful, were not as cautious as she was. Such unusual behavior, along with the increasingly strong radiance that blossomed from within her, how could Noah not guess,
"You’re about to evolve into a Great Fairy?"
This was Noah’s judgment at that moment. Little flower spirits were born from the essence of plants and trees, these weak spirit species were extremely sensitive, and the abilities of Great Fairies in this aspect were likely even more exceptional.
"Ah, evolve?"
Upon hearing Noah’s words, Sifreya was taken aback, showing a look of confusion. Over these days, she had gradually realized that there were aspects of her that were different from her kin.
For example, under her care and with the acceleration brought by her magic power, the flowers and grasses she planted grew more vigorously and had higher survival rates than those planted by ordinary little fairies.
"You feel nothing at all?"
"No, nothing."
Sifreya shook her head truthfully.
"Do you know how to evolve yourself?"
"I don’t know."
Still shaking her head honestly, feeling embarrassed, the little fairy lowered her head.
"Let me think."
Noah began to ponder, primarily flipping through the inherited memories of the Dragon Clan.
Spirit creatures, depending on the conditions and environment of their birth, possess different spell-like abilities but lack bloodline inheritance. Newly born spirit creatures are the easiest to deceive because of their innocence and ignorance.
As to how spirit creatures evolve, this fell into another layer of knowledge since they themselves didn’t know what the requirements for evolution were.
"Advanced Magic Potion?"
In Noah’s inherited knowledge, he quickly found information left by a rather idle ancestor regarding the evolution of spirit creatures.
The evolution conditions for lower-level wood elves were quite simple: let them come into contact with high-level magic potions. As long as they absorbed enough essence from the magic potions, little fairies would surely be able to evolve into Great Fairies.
Magic potions are herbs containing magic power; even wild grass by the roadside sparkles with a hint of magic power can be considered a magic potion, making the threshold quite low.
Such level of magic potion is abundant around the Dragon Nest, and it was precisely for this reason that after Noah’s parents left, several little fairies dared to endure the lingering Dragon Power and move in.
However, such ungraded magic potions also couldn’t propel little fairies to evolve into Great Fairies.
"Hmm, I see."
Knowing the conditions for the little fairies’ advancement, Noah wasn’t anxious. Theoretically, he didn’t have to do anything and just needed to wait because, along with the growth of dragon species, the surrounding area of the Dragon Nest would naturally see the emergence of higher-grade magic potions.
However, transplanting high-grade magic potions was the fastest method. Previously, Noah was hesitant to ask, but now with the promotion of farming methods and the maturation of the second batch of wheat, he could now make his request confidently and justifiably.
Noah sought out his foster mother, but instead of asking her for magic potions, he requested her to convey his demand to the Augustus family.
The first batch of wheat grown using the farming method was planted by three hundred slaves allocated under Noah’s name. After displaying the results, the Augustus family started to exhaust all efforts to promote it.
However, it was limited to the region around Elisium City, since the Augustus family’s actual control could only influence this much and couldn’t cover the entire territory.
Even so, after harvesting the second batch of wheat, the Augustus family had prospered significantly, and thus did not decline Noah’s request but immediately fulfilled it.
Dew Grass, Golden Marigold, Micro Light Leaf, Moon Shadow Berry, Star Sand Vine... one by one, rare magic potions were sent up the mountain.
The once bustling little fairies suddenly became busy, utilizing their magic power to help the transplanted magic potions adapt to the new environment.
The rarer the magic potion, the more demanding its requirements for the growth environment. However, as long as there was enough nurturing from the magic power of the same attribute, it could lessen the environmental requirements.
This indeed exhausted this group of little ones, who after more than a month of toil managed to stabilize all eleven rare potions sent by the Augustus family, offsetting the damage from transplantation.
This allowed Noah to fully appreciate the value of these little fairies and understand why they were beloved by every pharmacist.
"Ah, my body feels so full!"
On a calm afternoon several days after the completion of magic potion transplantation, Sifreya, who was inspecting the flower beds, exclaimed, as an intense radiance burst forth from her body, the light gradually spreading and intensifying until she was fully enveloped inside.
All the little fairies were drawn to this phenomenon, and Noah was also drawn out from the Dragon Nest by the commotion. The light enveloping the little fairy was unable to obstruct his vision, allowing him to clearly and straightforwardly witness the entire evolution process of this little fairy.
On Sifreya’s fair and delicate skin, densely appeared markings that resembled leaf veins and vines, natural Divine Marks from nature.
Under the glow of these marks, the petite body of the little fairy began to swell, growing from a palm-sized form to the size of a three-year-old human child.
Her blue butterfly wings consequently became broader, with dew-like droplets glistening and sliding off, emitting a dense essence of plant life.
However, what most caught Noah’s attention was Sifreya’s hair, which, right when her evolution seemed about to conclude, exploded forth with a luster as radiant as the golden dragon scales amidst her smooth green hair.
