Godly Revival System: I Buy My Killer's Stats-Chapter 322: Primordial Beast Cage
Chapter 322: Primordial Beast Cage
"I, Ranulf..."
As Ranulf’s solemn voice echoed through the skies, a roaring surge of spiritual pressure burst forth from the heavens above the Lin Family estate.
The Heavenly Oath Phenomenon had descended!
A golden ripple shot across the skies, accompanied by a thunderous resonance that spread in all directions, audible even in the distant hills and towns.
Within moments, the entire region surrounding Greenspire Town—a radius of nearly 100 kilometers, was blanketed by the Oath’s overwhelming presence.
Even mortals felt the weight of something divine stir the air.
"It’s the Heavenly Oath!"
"Did you see that golden ripple in the sky?! It is a Heavenly Oath between a Golden Core Realm Cultivator and a Nascent Soul Realm Cultivator."
"Wait a second...did I hear it right? It is Supreme Elder Ranulf...he has personally come to the Lin Family."
"No doubt about it. The Lin Family must have given up on that Magical Fish in exchange for the protection from the Greenfire Sect."
.
.
.
All the Cultivation Families have heard Ranulf’s words loud and clear and know that the Lin Family will continue to grow stronger.
Generally, the Heavenly Oath between the cultivators would not create such phenomena.
However, other than the fact that it was a Nascent Soul Realm Cultivator, Ethan asked Ranulf to swear his Heavenly Oath as loudly as he could.
Only then, the entire Emerald Green Plains and other regions know that the Lin Family had no magical fish, and also, they were under the protection of the Greenfire Sect.
In short, after this Heavenly Oath Phenomenon, the Lin Family won’t face any crisis...at least for some time.
.....
In the Greenfire Sect,
All the treasures of the Greenfire Sect are placed in the Qilin Peak because it was the most protected peak in the entire sect after the Sect Leader’s peak.
After entering the Greenfire Sect, Ranulf brought both Ethan and Cedric to the Treasure Hall in the Qilin Peak.
"You are bringing the Celestial Spring Koi Fish, right?"
Sensing no traces of the Celestial Spring Koi Fish, Ranulf asked them.
"Don’t worry, Supreme Elder. It is right behind us."
Ethan assured Ranulf as he said, "In front of others, it is just shy."
As Ethan finished his words, the Celestial Spring Koi Fish revealed itself for a moment before disappearing.
’Good.’
Seeing that, Ranulf heaved a sigh of relief because they were currently inside the Greenfire Realm and there is no way it could leave the secret realm.
"This is Qilin Peak..."
As they entered the Qilin Peak, Elder Wren briefly introduced the peak as the residence of the Grand Elder and also the place where the Heavenly Artifacts were stored.
Every step in the Qilin Peak was like stepping deeper into a forbidden sanctuary; the spiritual energy here was several folds thicker than the rest of the Sect.
"We are here,"
Ranulf spoke, stopping before a pair of towering obsidian gates etched with ancient symbols of fire and balance.
It was none other than the Treasure Hall where Heavenly Artifacts of the Sect were stored.
’Swoosh’
The moment Ranulf waved his hands, green flames danced silently within the carvings, flickering to life.
The gates did not open immediately; instead, several fiery runes emerged, spinning in the air in complex patterns.
A moment later, Ranulf spoke, "From here, only those with clearance may proceed. Elder Wren, Patriarch Cedric, please remain outside."
"Understood, Supreme Elder."
Cedric blinked but nodded with a respectful bow.
As for Ethan, he remained calm, stepping forward without hesitation.
As he reached Ranulf’s side, the gates responded to his presence.
Ruuuumble—!
The obsidian gates creaked open with a heavy, ancient sound, revealing a path lined with fire-infused jade and golden lanterns.
Within, an invisible force swept over Ethan like a tide. It wasn’t threatening, but it assessed him to check whether he was a human or a demon.
"Come, Master Ethan. You may now pick the artifact you desire."
Ranulf stepped forward, his hands behind his back.
’Step’
Without another word, Ethan walked in and soon, the gates slowly closed behind them.
Outside, Cedric stood still, watching the sealed entrance as he couldn’t sense anything from inside.
It was as if the Treasure Hall existed in an entirely different plane of space.
.....
Inside the Treasure Hall,
Walls of glowing runes surrounded a dozen platforms, each hovering in midair.
Upon each platform, there was a Heavenly Artifact.
Some Heavenly Artifacts flickered with boundless elemental energy, whereas others were sealed by special barriers.
"You may inspect them freely; however, at a time, you can only touch one of them."
Ranulf gestured slightly, "Don’t worry. I will give you the brief information of each Heavenly Artifact, and based on that, you can select the one you want."
"Thank you, Supreme Elder."
Ethan knew that Ranulf wouldn’t be revealing the full effects, but still, knowing a thing or two about the Heavenly Artifact was a good thing for him.
The first Heavenly Artifact that caught his attention was a gently spinning green orb embedded with translucent roots.
"It is called Plant Heaven Orb. The Green Lotus Tribe’s Ancestral Artifact."
As soon as Ethan touched the floating green orb, Ranulf only informed its name and its origin and didn’t say its uses because the Lin Family knows it better than anyone.
"So, this is the Plant Heaven Orb that I have heard of."
Ethan had heard about it from Cedric, and it was the reason why Cedric was able to gain the protection from the Greenfire Sect for the past 200 years.
He didn’t bother to check it as he already knew about its uses. So, he placed it back on the floating platform before focusing on the next one.
The next artifact was shaped like a metallic skeletal cage, hovering silently in place, faint runes etched along its corners.
"It is called a Primordial Beast Cage, and it can be used to capture even Rank 7 Spirit Beasts."
"Really? It is such a great item."
Ethan’s eyes lit up hearing about it because if he had had this Heavenly Artifact earlier, things would have been quite easy in dealing with Petrik.
"But it consumes a lot of Golden Essence."
Ranulf suddenly added, "Also, I don’t think it would have been able to capture Petrik after his transformation. It is best used to capture the Rank 5 and 6 Spirit Beasts before taming them or killing them for their materials."
’...’
Ethan was speechless, hearing about that and instantly gave up on it.
"That floating crimson armour with phoenix-like wing designs is called Heavenly Blazing Armour, which can even stop the attacks from a Low-level Nascent Soul Realm Cultivator."
"This is called Cultivation Time Pearl, a true treasure for cultivators. It increases the effectiveness of your cultivation by five times when held during meditation. Very rare, but it only works for those below the Nascent Soul Realm."
"It is....."
"This is a..."
.
.
As Ethan was checking one Heavenly Artifact after another, Ranulf explained their uses but also some of their limitations, making Ethan frown more and more.
’These are just the Inferior Heavenly Artifacts that are useless for the Greenfire Sect. No wonder, this Ranulf was willing to give away a Heavenly Artifact for Celea.’
Soon, he came to a conclusion that made him bitterly smile, ’I thought I was being intelligent with my negotiation, but I am still not a match for an Old Man like Ranulf and the Greenfire Sect.’
