God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 681
"Good!"
The three nodded heavily.
Ethan’s terrifying display had already caused them devastating losses. For a moment, the thought of retreat had surfaced in their hearts.
But temptation outweighed fear.
As Lucas had said, if Ethan could be slain tonight, the road ahead would be clear.
If he survived, with his monstrous growth rate, surpassing them was only a matter of time.
When that day came, none of them would be spared.
"Very good. It seems you have made your choice."
Ethan’s lips curved faintly.
The next instant, his figure vanished.
Lucas and the others immediately raised their heads.
Ethan stood high above them.
"Supreme Prisoner’s Heavenly Lock!"
His hands formed seals swiftly.
Countless golden chains descended from the sky like divine punishment, wrapping around Lucas and the others in an instant.
"What?!"
Divine power surged violently from Lucas and the other Ultimate Supremes as they launched attacks at the descending chains.
Yet no matter how fiercely they struck, the thick golden chains did not budge.
The moment their divine power touched the chains, it melted away.
Bang bang bang!
Every attack that collided with the chains dissolved into dazzling mist, like a burst bubble releasing a faint, powerless sound.
"What kind of technique is this?"
"Why are our attacks ineffective?!"
A gray blue spear appeared in Lucas’ hand. It was a holy grade spiritual weapon.
He thrust it forward repeatedly, stabbing at the golden chains.
After the first failed strike, he swung again and again.
Dozens of moves fell in rapid succession.
The sharp spear struck relentlessly, but only caused the chains to tremble slightly. They remained intact.
"Ethan is merely an Upper Supreme physical cultivator. How can he display such a terrifying technique? Even five Ultimate Supremes working together cannot break it!"
A hawk nosed man frowned deeply.
He had unleashed nearly all his strength just now, yet he could not even scratch the chains.
Even his space secret art failed.
The cage formed by the golden chains condensed into a spatial barrier, completely isolating them from the outside world.
"This does not resemble a mere secret technique. It looks like an indestructible holy grade spiritual weapon, perhaps even a divine artifact."
A chubby middle aged man slashed at the chains with his blade. Sparks erupted, yet the chains remained untouched.
"Break for me!"
A thin, angular faced man roared and unleashed a violent bombardment.
The golden chains did not move.
"Pavilion Master Lucas, think carefully."
"You once claimed that although Ethan’s talent was extraordinary, his realm and combat power were lacking."
"Explain what this is!" the thin man demanded.
Lucas’ brows tightened as silence fell briefly.
"Does not the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets claim omniscience?"
"Old Man Xalor, why did you not foresee Ethan’s true strength?" the fat man added coldly.
Now the Ultimate Supremes from the three factions turned their eyes toward Lucas.
They demanded an explanation.
"My technique is not all powerful. Ethan’s destiny is strange and obscured. It is not surprising that it cannot be predicted."
"If I could foresee everything, would the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets be in such a predicament?" Old Man Xalor replied hoarsely.
"Our Noir family has already suffered too many losses. Ethan clearly still has trump cards he has yet to reveal. I was blinded to cooperate with your Pavilion."
The fat man’s expression grew increasingly displeased.
He felt both Lucas and Old Man Xalor were unreliable.
Thus he decided to cut his losses.
"Brother Ethan, I am Corvin Noir, Grand Elder of the Noir family from the Verdant Lantern Empire."
"We were misled by the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets and followed them into Skyreach Territory. Today’s conflict with you was unintentional. I hope you will be magnanimous and release us."
Corvin Noir cupped his hands respectfully.
"Now you beg for mercy. Why did you not think of that before coming here?" Ethan replied with a cold smile.
Seeing the disdain in Ethan’s eyes, Corvin Noir’s expression darkened.
"Ethan, our Noir family is sincere. Do not push too far. If I burn everything and fight to the death, you will not escape unscathed."
"How sincere is your Noir family?"
"I see none."
Ethan’s lips curved into a faint, sinister smile.
The next moment, he disappeared again.
The faces of the trapped Supremes changed instantly.
They scanned their surroundings vigilantly.
Whoosh!
A streak of green light flashed from above.
In a blink, Ethan appeared before Corvin Noir.
"You followed the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets and slaughtered the people of Noble Sun City. And you think you can leave unharmed?"
"Foolish."
Ethan sneered and reached forward, gripping Corvin Noir’s face.
"Do not be arrogant. I admit you are strong enough to trap us, but that does not mean you can kill me!"
Corvin Noir snorted and ignited his blood essence.
But before he could react further, Ethan’s palm had already seized his head.
No one saw when Ethan entered the interior of the Supreme Prisoner’s Heavenly Lock.
He had appeared directly behind Corvin Noir.
Corvin Noir’s pupils trembled violently.
Cold sweat spread down his back.
It felt as though the god of death had already raised his scythe.
"Killing you is effortless."
Ethan’s voice was calm, cold as a final verdict.
Phew!
Blue gray flames surged forth.
Corvin Noir’s head was engulfed entirely.
Within a few breaths, his limbs drooped lifelessly.
His body stiffened.
An Ultimate Supreme had fallen.
From start to finish, less than a minute had passed. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Corvin Noir had not even mounted a meaningful resistance.
In Ethan’s grasp, he was like a powerless chick.
The Supreme Prisoner’s Heavenly Lock withdrew.
Corvin Noir’s corpse fell from Ethan’s hand, still shrouded in Pure Azure Flame.
Midair, his body turned to ashes and scattered into nothingness.
Lucas and the others froze.
Fear rose uncontrollably in their hearts.
"What are you waiting for?! If you do not fight with everything now, none of us will survive!"
Lucas roared at the remaining Supremes.
The hawk nosed man and the thin man abandoned all hesitation.
Without another word, they burned their souls.
