God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 679
From the opposite direction, the square-faced man was already charging straight at her.
Lana’s expression shifted. She was caught in a dilemma.
Her brows tightened. Gritting her teeth, she hurled the long sword in her hand toward the square-faced man rushing forward.
At the same time, she ducked before the crashing boulder, her hands forming seals in a blur before striking outward.
Spiritual energy surged violently, condensing into a radiant curtain of light that barely slowed the descending boulder.
"Is that useful?"
The square-faced man looked at the incoming sword and casually swung his arm.
With a crisp clang, Lana’s long sword was knocked high into the sky.
Yet the blade did not fall helplessly.
It steadied midair, twisted sharply, and shot once more toward the square-faced man.
"Hmph, a petty trick!"
He halted, roared loudly, and slashed upward from below.
A streak of iron-like light flashed across the air.
A sharp metallic sound rang out.
The sword was blasted aside again.
Without pause, the square-faced man struck out with his palm. Spiritual energy erupted, enveloping the long sword entirely. The power infused within it was crushed instantly.
Dang Dang Dang!
The sword lost all control, fell from the sky, struck the ground, and rolled twice before coming to rest not far from Lana.
"Damn it... I cannot stop him at all."
Lana glanced once at her fallen blade, then lifted her gaze toward the square-faced man in the distance.
"Rain, prepare yourself!"
"When that bastard closes in, I will self-destruct. You seize the chance to escape!" Lana transmitted firmly.
Rain opened her eyes.
The medicinal power had begun to repair her injuries. Her breathing steadied, strength slowly returning.
She rose to her feet and scanned the battlefield.
Her fists clenched tightly as she memorized every face present tonight.
If she survived this night, these people would be reduced to ashes.
Blood debts would be repaid with blood.
"Two little beauties, it ends here!"
The square-faced man closed the distance rapidly.
At the same time, Liam let out a low shout. The boulder exploded with force, pushing Lana backward relentlessly.
It was not only Lana’s side.
Across the battlefield, members of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion and Blood Tavern were suppressed completely.
Despair spread like wildfire.
"Farewell, Rain."
Lana glanced at her closest companion, a faint sorrowful smile touching her lips.
In the next breath, her expression hardened.
Spiritual energy within her Dantian surged madly, then compressed inward with violent intensity.
Phew!
The square-faced man arrived behind her in a flash. Reluctant to destroy such a perfect figure, he struck her back with a palm instead of a blade.
Tyrannical power erupted.
Lana’s ribs shattered instantly.
Her organs shifted violently, suffering severe damage.
Excruciating pain tore through her body. Blood spurted from her mouth.
Yet she sneered coldly and uttered a single word.
"Explode!"
But the expected detonation never came.
The spiritual energy in her body suddenly froze.
An invisible force enveloped her completely. She could not move even a finger.
"What is happening?!" Lana was stunned.
"Pressure... pressure!"
Rain shouted.
Before her voice fully fell, two streaks of light appeared in the night sky.
Ethan stood there, hands clasped behind his back, surveying the scene.
Broken walls.
Corpses scattered across the ground.
Blood splattered everywhere.
The square-faced man and Liam suddenly found their spiritual energy frozen. It was as though their bodies had been bound by an invisible chain. Their legs felt as heavy as mountains.
They looked upward and roared, "Who is that?!"
It was not just them.
The entire Noble Sun City was enveloped by Ethan’s pressure.
Those lacking strength were immobilized entirely.
A faint radiance hung across the night sky like an aurora. The temperature of the surrounding space began to climb.
Even the Blood Tavern’s master and Ultimate Supremes such as Lucas felt the suffocating oppression. The flow of divine power within them slowed noticeably.
Almost everyone turned to look toward Ethan at the same moment.
A man and a woman stood there.
"Who dares interfere?!" Lucas separated from Victor, lifted his head, and shouted.
"Eth... Ethan!"
Rain and Lana’s eyes widened simultaneously. Surprise burst from their lips.
"It’s Ethan!"
"He finally returned!"
Asher and Talker Latham’s faces lit with relief.
"So that is Ethan. Indeed extraordinary."
"With such strength, the Myriad Treasures Pavilion and Blood Tavern may yet survive." Blood Sword Supreme stared upward.
He had only heard news of the tavern recruiting a peerless genius.
Now seeing it with his own eyes, the reality exceeded the rumors.
This pressure was comparable to that of a Perfect Supreme.
"Ethan?"
Lucas and Old Man Xalor exchanged a glance.
Then Lucas burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! You finally show yourself. Had you continued hiding, everyone here would have died."
"You must be the Pavilion Master of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets."
"Since you are here, do not think of leaving." Ethan extended his palm and clenched it violently before finishing his sentence.
Lucas laughed louder.
"Hahaha! I have long heard you are arrogant. Seeing you today, you are a hundred times more arrogant than the rumors."
"You are merely a Supreme. To display such momentum, you must be relying on some forbidden technique to temporarily amplify your strength."
"Hmph. Even so, at best you have barely reached the qualification to contend with us."
"I know you possess an artifact. But relying on that alone to keep all of us here? Ridiculous."
"You destroyed our branch in Skyreach Territory and slaughtered dozens of our strongest members. That debt will be repaid with your blood!"
Lucas’ eyes darkened. His tone turned cold and heavy.
"Hmph."
Ethan responded with a faint sneer.
His palm tightened abruptly.
The luminous curtain descending from the night sky transformed into countless streaks of multicolored flame and poured directly into the bodies of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets’ members.
"What entered my body?!"
Liam and the square-faced man shouted in alarm. Fear instantly spread across their faces.
Those wisps of flame coursed through their meridians and muscles. The searing power began destroying everything in its path.
Puff!
Under the night sky, most members of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets spat out thick mouthfuls of blood simultaneously.
Their auras plummeted. Faces turned pale.
Only the Upper Supremes and Ultimate Supremes could barely resist.
Then something even more terrifying occurred.
Their abdomens began swelling visibly.
Pupils trembled violently.
Fear filled their faces.
