God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 596
They were brought here by White Emperor himself, and the woman leading the group was none other than White Emperor’s personal disciple.
Ethan merely glanced once before withdrawing his gaze.
"They’ve found this place as well... Things are getting troublesome."
The space barrier surrounding the valley was not particularly mysterious, but its structure was extremely stable. Under ordinary circumstances, breaking it would require time and continuous bombardment.
But Alina was no ordinary cultivator.
As White Emperor’s personal disciple, she definitely possessed trump cards unknown to outsiders. Ethan was certain that once she decided to go all out, the space barrier would not last long.
Fishing could wait.
The hibiscus fruits could not.
Ethan raised his hand, and the Nine-Colored Soul-Living Bottle appeared in his palm. With a thought, the seal loosened, and streams of light flew out.
Elara, Kara, and Risa emerged one after another.
For a brief moment, all three felt dizzy. When their senses stabilized, the world before them had completely changed.
"...Where are we?"
Elara froze on the spot.
Before them stretched an immense valley bathed in soft green-golden light. Rare spiritual herbs grew everywhere, some of which she had only ever seen illustrated in ancient manuals. The air itself carried a rich vitality that made one’s breathing feel lighter.
Risa swallowed unconsciously.
Kara’s gaze locked onto the towering tree at the center of the lake.
Its trunk was thicker than city walls, its crown vast enough to blot out the sky, its roots intertwined like ancient dragons sleeping beneath the earth.
"...What kind of tree is this?"
Elara stared upward, her pupils trembling.
"The trunk... two trees growing as one, roots supporting each other..."
Her voice became hoarse.
"This is the Hibiscus Sacred Tree."
Silence fell.
Kara’s expression changed instantly.
"The Hibiscus Sacred Tree? That legendary sacred tree whose intelligence rivals humans and whose true body can rival an Emperor?"
She quickly recalled fragments from ancient records she had once read in the Black Demon Sect’s archives.
"It blooms once every five thousand years and bears fruit every ten thousand years. The hibiscus fruit it produces is known as the king of all fruits."
"If a Ultimate Supreme consumes it, their divine power can be purified to flawless perfection."
"And if a Perfect Supreme consumes it... the chance of breaking into the Emperor Realm increases dramatically."
Kara inhaled sharply.
"Such a divine object actually exists..."
Her eyes darkened.
"If this were revealed to the outside world, the entire continent would drown in blood."
Yet her brows soon furrowed.
"There’s something wrong. Ancient records say the Hibiscus Sacred Tree appeared over a hundred thousand years ago, shook the continent, then vanished without a trace."
"No matter how powerful Emperor Sage was, it should be impossible for him to forcibly suppress such a being in his secret realm."
Her doubt was reasonable.
Ethan nodded calmly.
"That’s true—if it were suppressed."
"But what if the Hibiscus Sacred Tree came here on its own?"
The three women looked at him.
Ethan continued, his voice steady.
"Do you remember the murals in the main hall? In Emperor Sage’s final battle scene, there was the vague outline of a giant tree in the background."
"I’ve also seen a similar shadow in Emperor Sage’s memories. At the time, I didn’t pay attention."
"Now that I think about it, that silhouette matches the Hibiscus Sacred Tree perfectly."
Elara followed his gaze upward.
"And the legend says there are nine three-legged Golden Crows living on the Hibiscus Tree."
"Look."
High above, golden flames flickered.
Five three-legged Golden Crows circled in the sky, while four others perched on the massive branches, their blazing pupils scanning the surroundings.
No more.
No less.
Exactly nine.
Kara’s breath caught.
"...Then this really is the Hibiscus Sacred Tree."
Her gaze shifted to the branches.
Nine green-golden fruits swayed gently, radiating terrifying vitality.
"Nine hibiscus fruits..."
Her throat tightened.
"One alone could ignite endless slaughter. Nine together..."
She did not finish the sentence.
Slowly, Kara turned her head toward Ethan.
"Junior Brother... what do you plan to do?"
Ethan’s expression was calm, but his eyes were sharp.
"There’s no doubt about the tree’s identity. But the Sacred Tree is still sleeping—and could awaken at any time."
"When I arrived earlier, I concealed my aura completely. The Golden Crows were alerted only because people outside began attacking the barrier."
"This is our best chance."
He paused, then spoke with certainty.
"We must take the hibiscus fruits."
Elara’s hands trembled slightly as excitement surged through her chest.
If she could obtain even one hibiscus fruit...
Her parents could both step into the Perfect Supreme realm.
At that point, the Sky family would no longer need to bow to the Palace of the Four Cycles. They could leave the Demon Territory entirely and reclaim their freedom.
"All of us will follow Mr. Ethan’s command," Elara said firmly.
Ethan nodded.
"There’s no need to rush."
"Let White Emperor City’s people exhaust themselves first."
"When the space barrier breaks and the Golden Crows are forced to respond, that’s when we act."
Above the valley, violent fluctuations shook the sky.
Alina and her group hovered midair, unleashing continuous attacks against the space barrier. Each strike caused ripples to spread across the translucent wall.
"Junior sister, this space barrier is rather tough. I’m afraid it won’t be broken for a while."
The burly man stepped to Alina’s side, his tone solemn.
He, too, is a pride for White Emperor City. Although he and Alina addressed each other as junior sister and senior brother, he is not the White Emperor’s disciple, but merely from the same force.
"This is no ordinary space barrier," Alina replied calmly.
"But it is not impossible to break through. I will find a way."
Clad in a golden robe, her noble and cold temperament remained unchanged as she withdrew her palm.
Her golden eyes shone like radiant light, her clear brows faintly knitted, a trace of solemnity appearing on her flawless face.
She stood quietly in the air, an aura of nobility and aloofness surrounding her at all times.
It was no exaggeration to say that Alina had countless suitors—enough to circle White Emperor City three times over.
The burly man beside her, Veyr, was a pride of the Azure Dragon clan. Having already stepped into the Upper Demon Lord Realm, his talent was rare even across a thousand years.
Yet even such an outstanding and powerful prodigy could not melt Alina’s cold and aloof heart.
