God-Level Special Forces Soldier-Chapter 563 - 560: Traitor?
"The one who fell to the ground, must have practiced Hard Qi Gong, right?"
Xiao Tian’s casual remark made Zhou Huchen break into a cold sweat, never expecting that this seemingly ordinary cop from out of town would have such keen insight.
"I don’t understand what you’re talking about." Zhou Huchen said, feigning calmness, while his heart began to race with anxiety.
"Don’t understand?" Xiao Tian nodded and said, "Then let’s talk about something you do understand."
Zhou Huchen’s heart skipped a beat, fear enveloping his entire body, and he couldn’t help but start guessing about Xiao Tian’s identity.
On second thought, whether it was an old enemy or a special agent sent by Huaxia, neither would bode well for him, making him even more frightened. He subtly adjusted his stance, ready to flee at any moment.
Even at this moment, Zhou Huchen still held onto a sliver of hope, wishing that what Xiao Tian was about to say next would not involve any danger to his safety or reveal his true identity.
But, his wish was ultimately not to be fulfilled...
"Your real name isn’t Zhou Huchen, is it?"
What seemed like a question, but was actually delivered with absolute certainty, made everyone present widen their eyes in shock!
Not called Zhou Huchen?
This matter was far more serious than intentionally harming a competitor. After all, an official deliberately concealing their identity would be treated as espionage!
"What evidence do you have to say that?" Zhou Huchen shouted, "Without evidence, I’ll sue you for slander."
Zong Jian also frowned, reminding, "Young Master Zhong, you mustn’t speak carelessly about matters without evidence."
Xiao Tian waved his hand dismissively: "If you don’t believe what I’m saying, then please have Instructor Zhou collect fingerprints and DNA right here. If it matches his previous information, feel free to sue me in court!"
This statement immediately sparked intense discussion among the crowd. Hundreds of mouths expressed various opinions, turning the normally solemn training hall into a lively marketplace!
"I don’t think that kid is up to any good, he must be trying to frame Instructor Zhou."
"Your statement is too extreme; it was clearly Instructor Zhou who first accused the other side of using covert weapons to cheat and intentionally harm Duan Xiaotian, right?"
"Even if Instructor Zhou brought it up first, what evidence does that kid have to claim Instructor Zhou is concealing his identity?"
"And what proof does Instructor Zhou have for saying the other side cheated with covert weapons?"
Seeing the stalemate, a voice of reason finally spoke up: "Everyone, let’s stop arguing. If Instructor Zhou takes a DNA test, won’t the truth be clear then?"
The crowd nodded in agreement and turned their attention back to Zhou Huchen, eyes full of expectation; the majority wanted him to prove his innocence and disprove Xiao Tian’s allegations.
However, there was still a small group willing to see Xiao Tian’s words hit the mark and have Zhou Huchen taken away for organizational investigation.
After all, not everyone lacked sense!
That small group had joined under the banner of the special operations unit, only to realize it wasn’t what they imagined, and by the time they wanted out, it was too late.
"I, Zhou Huchen, am perfectly upfront, so why should I listen to you and do this pointless thing to prove myself?" Zhou Huchen said aggressively, "Besides, what right do you have to make such a demand?"
Upon hearing Zhou Huchen’s words, some found it reasonable. If there was nothing wrong, why prove oneself because of another’s accusation?
However, more people thought Zhou Huchen was guilty. Why not face the test if there’s no problem?
Xiao Tian didn’t give the crowd another chance to argue, directly pulling out a military ID card with his name and department clearly written on it.
A general?
At that moment, everyone shot to their feet, staring in shock at the card in Xiao Tian’s hand...
"Did, did I see that wrong?" a special operations member asked, rubbing his eyes in disbelief.
The person next to him, face blank, said, "I must be dreaming!"
After a long while, a collective gasp filled the room: "My God! So young, yet already a general?!"
...
"Do I have the authority now?" Xiao Tian coldly said as he put away the card, "I now suspect you’re a spy infiltrated from abroad. Please cooperate with the investigation, or if you resist in any way, I have the right to execute you on the spot!"
Zhou Huchen opened his mouth, wanting to argue that the document was fake and Xiao Tian was retaliating against him, but he couldn’t get the words out.
Because even if a seal could be forged, the unique numbers were verifiable, and he couldn’t believe Xiao Tian would be foolish enough to deceive everyone that way.
There was only one possibility left, the one Zhou Huchen least wanted to accept, that the "Young Master Zhong" in Zong Jian’s words, the small-town cop from Shanghai, was actually a Major General!
And not just any major general, but a very young one, almost unbelievably so!
Now, the crowd finally emerged from their shock but started to grow puzzled again.
Xiao Tian?
Why did this name sound familiar?
But the matter with Zhou Huchen wasn’t over, so they had to set aside their thoughts and await further developments.
Zhou Huchen now trembled violently all over, keeping his head low with a ferocious gleam in his eyes. The current situation was out of his control.
If he followed Xiao Tian’s instruction to take a DNA test, his identity would be exposed, leaving him dead in the water. If he didn’t, Xiao Tian wouldn’t spare him either.
With death inevitable either way, he might as well gamble for a chance at survival!
Zhou Huchen secretly vowed that if he managed to escape alive, he would make someone suffer the cruelest punishment as vengeance for today’s humiliation!
Having made up his mind, Zhou Huchen hesitated no longer, immediately channeling True Qi to his legs, using a prearranged signal to alert his undercover operatives within the special operations unit to help cover his escape.
After completing all this, Zhou Huchen fiercely exerted force on his legs, and immediately, a heart-wrenching cry echoed, reverberating throughout the wide training hall like sounds from hell.
Just moments ago, as Zhou Huchen intended to use the recoil from releasing True Qi to escape, he shockingly discovered that his True Qi couldn’t leak out at all.
This caused the accumulated True Qi in his legs to have nowhere to discharge and burst violently within his body, which resulted in the complete rupture of the meridians in his legs.
Yet, something even more bizarre happened. As his meridians shattered, Zhou Huchen was horrified to find himself completely immobile as if his body had been stripped of its control, and his brain’s commands could no longer get any response!
Sharing his fate were nearly twenty members Zhou Huchen had planted in the special operations unit. These people usually kept a low profile, so nobody could’ve imagined they were traitors?!
