Global Wasteland: I Obtained A Top Tier Shelter-Chapter 843 - 538: Wait, We’re Getting Gundams Already?
Although they seem temporarily unusable, Lin Yue still stored them all in the Storage Space.
Moving forward through the spaceship again, Lin Yue didn’t find anything new this time; just corridors with metal walls on both sides.
Lin Yue estimated that they should be filled with some precise machinery inside.
Soon, he reached what appeared to be the pilot cabin, which was simpler and more humble than he expected.
In the front was a large transparent window made from some kind of synthetic material, and below it, a whole row of curved consoles roughly twenty meters long.
Behind the console, there were five chairs attached to the spaceship’s body, seemingly equipped with fixed wheels for easy movement.
In the central highest point of this area, there was a seat, and approximately four to five meters behind on both sides were two more seats.
Approaching the seat, Lin Yue found it seemed to be made of sophisticated alloys and synthetic materials. Slightly touching it, he noticed it still retained elasticity and hadn’t deteriorated after such a long time of disuse.
Lin Yue tried pressing it with some force, but couldn’t deform it.
Next to this chair, there were a bunch of various patterns that seemed touch-sensitive, but how exactly they activated could only be imagined.
Lin Yue touched them twice with his finger, but there was no sign of activation, so he turned around, ready to leave.
He then proceeded further towards the rear of the spaceship. The place he had initially descended was not exactly at the back, but slightly towards the rear.
There were still some unopened doors over there that he had to check out.
Soon enough, Lin Yue reached the aft of the spaceship, where there were four large elevators going downward. However, they were definitely unusable. Lin Yue directly stored one into his Storage Space, then moved down the elevator shaft, eventually reaching an extremely large space.
"How big is this spaceship really... Huh? That, that thing... What the hell?"
Lin Yue generally didn’t use the term "what the hell".
Because, indeed, even when surprised, he wouldn’t use "what the hell" to express astonishment.
But in front of him, this towering metal object made him involuntarily utter this exclamation.
"This... damn, I didn’t think humans would develop to this extent. And they actually made it? A Gundam?!"
Lin Yue couldn’t help but step back.
In the Night Vision Device, the gigantic robot, about six stories tall, looked remarkably similar to the Gundams from the anime and models in Lin Yue’s memory, both in shape and head-mounted sensors!
Although he didn’t know exactly which model it resembled, just seeing it parked here gave an indescribable sense of awe!
"This mysterious antagonist really has some wicked sense of humor... Speaking of which, upgrading the Battle Armor further, will it end up being this thing?" Lin Yue flew up to the vicinity of its head and stopped there.
The material of the giant robot was indeterminable, but the intricate circuits and electronic components on it, despite being covered in a layer of dust, still left Lin Yue deeply impressed.
He looked around once more.
There were four in total.
Colors and models were all different.
Lin Yue glanced at the Storage Space and took out all the useless stuff in it, like sheepskin mats and beds, which were no longer needed.
After storing each of these Gundams in the Storage Space, he found there was still some space left.
He looked at the maintenance equipment and decided to take those as well.
These were much more useful than food and sheepskin mats.
After taking another tour around, Lin Yue finally decided to come back later to clear it out completely, as the spaceship couldn’t fit into his Storage Space.
Returning the way he came, Lin Yue retrieved all the engineering robots, leaving no more empty space in the Storage Space.
Upon exiting the ruins again, Lin Yue looked up at the sky and suddenly realized something.
The sky over the Wolf-headed Man’s territory was still clear...
Speaking of which, the wild grass wasn’t burned down, looking just as it did before.
It seemed like humanity was the sole target.
According to the Wolf-headed Men, a disaster occurs here every seven years, but this time, the disaster happens every fifteen years.
This means it will be a long time until they face their disaster.
Why do the mysterious antagonists specifically target humans on Earth?
Lin Yue felt that the malevolence here was related to more than just humans looking exactly like them.
"Master, what’s there underground?" Bai, seeing that the master took a long time to come out, became worried and asked hurriedly.
"Indeed, there are good things, but they are really too big to bring back." Lin Yue turned around to glance at the so-called "Divine Hall" cavern and shook his head.
"Good things?" Bai asked in confusion but turned to communicate with the Wolf-headed Leader, signaling them to leave the valley and wait for orders with the other Wolf-headed Men outside.
"Yes, good things. Bai, let’s not go to the other Wolf-headed territory for now; let’s return to the Shelter first, and then come back. Our focus seems to be on the Wolf-headed Men for now."
