Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons-Chapter 170: [Bonus - 5/5] Battling Four Gravemind Devourer
"F–Four!"
Thoren’s voice trembled slightly as the word escaped his lips.
He forced himself to exhale slowly, then inhaled deeply again, trying to calm the violent pounding of his heart. The sight before him was far worse than he had anticipated.
A single Gravemind Devourer had already proven troublesome enough.
One of those grotesque creatures could command dozens of powerful Level 19 beasts.
But now...
There were four of them.
Before Thoren could fully process the situation, movement erupted from behind the surrounding rocks.
Beasts began pouring out from every direction.
At first, it looked like a natural migration of monsters emerging from the rocky terrain. But as more and more creatures stepped forward, the truth became obvious.
They were not moving randomly.
They were being summoned.
Indeed, the Gravemind Devourers were calling them.
These creatures were their minions.
Within seconds, the previously quiet rocky terrain was flooded with monstrous beasts.
Starved Drakes crawled and flew through the air; Crawling Horrors skittered across the ground with their blade-like limbs.
Their howls reverberated across the crater, echoing like the war cry of an approaching army.
But what truly unsettled Thoren was something else.
The four Gravemind Devourers did not attack one another.
Despite sharing territory, none of them showed hostility toward the others.
Instead, they remained motionless atop the rocky outcrops, observing the battlefield like commanders directing an army.
It was as if they possessed enough intelligence to recognize a common enemy.
Thoren.
Suddenly, the four grotesque creatures emitted a strange sound.
It was neither a roar nor a howl.
The sound was sharp and grating, like rusted metal scraping against stone.
"Ghhrrr—"
Thoren’s face twisted in discomfort.
The noise pierced directly into his ears, sending a painful vibration through his skull.
He instinctively covered his ears with his palms.
"What the hell is that...?" he muttered through clenched teeth.
The moment the eerie sound ended.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud.
The previously still beasts suddenly moved.
One by one, they turned their heads toward Thoren.
Their dull, unfocused eyes locked onto him.
Then they charged.
From every direction.
The ground trembled as dozens of powerful beasts surged forward.
Their claws scraped against the stone ground, wings flapped violently through the air, and the thunder of their footsteps filled the rocky terrain.
Thoren’s expression hardened.
The atmosphere around the battlefield grew extremely tense.
The air itself seemed heavy with bloodlust.
Without hesitation, Thoren raised his hand and issued his command.
"Storm Tyrant. Rend Colossus. Lead the charge."
The two powerful undead giants immediately moved.
The Undead Storm Tyrant advanced toward the right flank, while the Undead Rend Colossus marched toward the left.
At the center, the Undead Cobra and the Undead Royalty Stonewall moved forward to hold the main battle line.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The moment the two sides collided, the entire crater seemed to shake.
The clash was brutal.
Blood sprayed into the air as flesh and bone shattered under the impact of the first wave.
The Undead Storm Tyrant swung its massive hammer with terrifying strength.
There was no skill in its movements.
No elegance.
No technique.
Just raw, brutal force.
Bang!
The hammer smashed downward, crushing a Crawling Horror’s head instantly.
Its skull shattered like fragile glass, sending fragments of bone and internal organs flying across the battlefield.
Another beast rushed forward.
Bang!
The hammer struck again.
Its body collapsed into a twisted heap.
No creature could withstand a direct blow from the Storm Tyrant and remain standing.
Every strike either killed its target instantly or left it barely clinging to life.
The scene was savage.
Blood splattered across the Storm Tyrant’s body, yet the fierce glow within its hollow eye sockets never dimmed.
Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the battlefield, the Undead Rend Colossus advanced like an unstoppable war machine.
Boom!
It stomped the ground with enormous force.
Several beasts were thrown off balance, tumbling helplessly across the terrain.
The titan stepped forward and swung one of its jagged stone arms.
Bang!
Three Starved Drakes were struck simultaneously.
Their bodies were hurled through the air as their scales shattered into fragments.
Before they could even recover, the next attack arrived.
Bang!
The massive palm descended again, crushing them into lifeless corpses.
Without even glancing at the fallen creatures, the Undead Rend Colossus simply moved on to its next target.
Its towering body made it nearly impossible to stop.
No beast could block its advance.
At the center of the battlefield, the Undead Cobra unleashed chaos of its own. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The enormous serpent opened its jaws wide, lunging forward with deadly speed.
Snap!
A Starved Drake failed to react in time.
The cobra’s fangs closed around its neck, ripping the creature’s head clean off.
Blood splashed across the ground.
The Undead Cobra casually flung the severed head aside before swinging its massive tail.
Whoosh!
The tail lashed through the air like a colossal whip.
Bang!
Five beasts were struck simultaneously.
Two Crawling Horrors were torn apart midair, their bodies snapping into pieces before crashing onto the ground.
While the Cobra wreaked havoc at the center, the elite undead squad also joined the slaughter.
The Undead Royalty Stonewall advanced steadily, cutting through enemy ranks with ruthless precision.
Although it lacked the overwhelming brute strength of the Storm Tyrant or the massive size of the Cobra and the Rend Colossus, its weapon made up for that weakness.
The Black Ember Blade gleamed with deadly sharpness.
Each swing carved deep wounds into its enemies.
One Starved Drake attempted to attack from the side.
The blade flashed.
Its wing was severed instantly.
The creature howled in agony, but before it could retreat, an axe strike followed.
Crack!
Its head separated cleanly from its body.
Three Crawling Horrors attempted to surround the elite undead squad.
Their blade-like limbs slashed toward the center formation.
But before they could close in.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Undead Starved Drakes descended from the sky.
Their wings hardened into razor-like blades as they dove downward.
Bang!
Bang!
The diving strikes landed across the Crawling Horrors’ bodies, slicing through their limbs and carapaces.
The monsters shrieked in pain as their formation collapsed.
Seizing the opportunity, the Undead Royalty Stonewall moved with deadly precision.
The Black Ember Blade flashed again.
One Crawling Horror’s head split open.
Another had its torso cleaved in half.
Fragments of brain matter and internal organs splattered across the blood-soaked ground.
What had once been dry stone terrain was now covered in blood, broken scales, shattered limbs, and pieces of brain matter.
High above the battlefield, the four Gravemind Devourers continued making strange noises.
Their tendrils twitched as they issued commands to their controlled beasts.
But Thoren and his undead legion paid them no attention.
They continued cutting through the enemy forces with merciless efficiency.
Then, a new presence emerged.
From behind a massive rock formation, a gigantic serpent suddenly appeared.
Its enormous body slid across the ground with terrifying speed.
Everything in its path was crushed beneath its weight.
Stones shattered.
Dust exploded into the air.
[Gravelord Basilisk]
[Level: 19]
[Attributes: Strength 55, Constitution 52, Agility 39, Spirit 6, Defense 48]
[Trait (1): Petrifying Glare – A chilling gaze that slows enemies and stiffens their movement for one minute.]
[Trait (2): Stone Tail – Swings its heavy tail to crush and pierce enemies.]
[Trait (3): Granite Hide – Temporarily hardens its scales, greatly increasing defense for five minutes.]
Thoren stared at the monstrous basilisk.
His expression did not change.
"Rend Colossus," he said calmly.
"Kill it."
The Undead Rend Colossus immediately separated from the main battle and turned toward the incoming serpent.
The Gravelord Basilisk raised its massive head and fixed its gaze on the approaching titan.
Its eyes glowed with a chilling light.
The Petrifying Glare activated.
Unfortunately for it, the Rend Colossus did not even slow down.
Bang!
The titan’s massive palm came crashing down.
The strike slammed directly into the basilisk’s skull.
The enormous serpent was sent flying backward, crashing violently into a nearby rock formation.
Before it could recover, the Rend Colossus stepped forward.
Its jagged stone hand grabbed the basilisk’s head.
With overwhelming strength, it crushed the creature’s skull into fragments.
