Global Game: Developing a Knight Clan-Chapter 215 - 176: Saint Tier Reward, World Conquest Completed
The wind howled like a hurricane as a thunderstorm of rules interwove.
The contract was signed in silence, amidst an invisible web of rules.
Outside the Star Realm, Divine Matty’s true form saw a familiar light, a streak that shot like a thread toward the unknown Star Sea.
The light vanished in an instant.
At that very moment, a crystal in Divine Matty’s hand suddenly trembled.
Only then did Divine Matty finally sigh.
"Everyone, it seems sending out this world to test the waters was the right choice."
"His Majesty Moridun has confirmed it. The other party to the contract is at least Main God Level in power."
"What’s more, the residual information on the contract is filled with a type of Power that even His Majesty Moridun couldn’t analyze."
Upon hearing Divine Matty’s words, the hearts of the Giant Demon Gods sank. In fact, they had felt this way the moment they watched from the Star Realm as the Main God Contract Book was absorbed by the Rule Net.
"It’s actually Main God Level."
"A Main God Level from an Ancient Species... No wonder it could so easily erode the Mana Will of another world. And the information from His Majesty Moridun only confirms it."
"I imagine this being is like our own Majesty—they won’t act rashly, but they are always watching everything."
Divine Gaius, the deity responsible for supervising this world, finally let out a long sigh of relief.
’This wasn’t a failure in battle.’
’A Main God Level existence, and from an Ancient Species, no less. It’s a perfectly valid excuse for a mere Medium Divine Power deity like me to have been unable to stop or even detect them.’
"Thankfully, we didn’t end up in a worst-case scenario of direct confrontation."
"Otherwise, even if the Empire could win, the losses would be far beyond imagination."
"If it really came to that, forget conquering other worlds in the Star Realm. We’d be lucky to recover in ten thousand years."
"His Majesty Moridun and Matty were truly farsighted! Otherwise, we might have made a grave mistake earlier."
A Giant Demon Deity spoke with a long sigh.
"I can imagine everyone’s disappointment and frustration."
"However, this matter can be considered a blessing in disguise."
"The other party is powerful, but they must have reasons they can’t get personally involved. Now, they’ve taken the initiative to sign a contract."
"In other words, we have now successfully gained an ally from a powerful civilization! In this matter, and on our path to conquering the Star Realm, our long-term gains will most likely far exceed our current losses," one of the Giant Demon Deities said.
"We can only console ourselves with that."
"At least we’re dealing with a being whose power far surpasses that of a conventional Main God."
"We even get to keep thirty slots for New Gods, which isn’t bad. Let them have the mortal world. When it comes down to it, Deities are the core power of a civilization."
"..."
The Giant Demon Deities chattered among themselves.
But just as they were trying to console themselves, the rules of the Star Realm suddenly flared with activity once more.
The Giant Demon Gods, stunned, all turned their gaze toward the other section of the Karte World—the part that made up a little more than one-third of it.
In that region of the Earth Realm where the rules had been eroded, upon the very land itself, countless pillars of light suddenly shot toward the sky.
White, cyan, blue, purple, and black.
Each multicolored pillar of light connected to the Rule Net in the sky.
Then, in the next moment, the eroding rules finally lifted the veil that had been obscuring the gods’ Divine Vision.
And so, the gods saw.
And there, beneath the pillars of light, Underground Cities abruptly rose up from the earth!
No!
To be precise, these Underground Cities did not appear out of thin air.
Instead, they were built upon the foundations of old, abandoned dungeons, their functions now restored.
A great number of Demons began to spawn within these Underground Cities.
Low-Tier Underground Cities (for Low Tier Professionals).
Middle-Tier Underground Cities (for Middle Tier Professionals).
High-Tier Underground Cities (for High Tier Professionals).
Nightmare Level Underground Cities (for Saint Tier Professionals).
The Underground Cities had been revived.
Across more than a third of the Karte World, a Miracle had descended again!
Moreover, it was a concentrated series of Miracles.
Whether they were mortals on the ground or the Giant Demon Deities in the Star Realm, everyone who saw this was stunned into silence for a moment.
"They just signed the contract, and they’re already displaying their powerful control over this world’s rules."
"I must say, this being is truly a bit unfathomable."
Divine Matty was stunned for a moment, but then couldn’t help but shake their head and let out a faint, wry smile.
"To be able to revive the Underground Cities without even having complete control of this world..."
"Honestly, I even suspect that this being might be a helper called upon by the fallen Deities of this world."
"A helper? If they really had such a helper, how could they have all been annihilated by us?"
"Furthermore, how could they have let this world fall into our hands for over a hundred years?"
The Giant Demon Deities had nothing more to say at this point.
The contract had been signed.
Since the matter was settled, they might as well see just what kind of power this mighty new ally from another civilization possessed.
Meanwhile, above the ocean.
The moment the contract was signed by the True Game, new notifications had already instantly appeared in Lince’s mind and field of vision.
[Congratulations, Cheater Sealer Player, for over-fulfilling the requirements for the second phase of the second super-large-scale campaign.]
[In this campaign, you have successfully conquered the entire Karte Continent. Base Reward: Growth Level +100%]
[Additionally, in light of the special reward for conquering an entire world, you have obtained a new, complete Divine Tier Bloodline.]
[Congratulations, Player. You have obtained the Fiery Sun Flame Dragon Bloodline.]
(Fiery Sun Flame Dragon Bloodline: Ancient Divine Tier Bloodline; Due to the uniqueness of Ancient Bloodlines, and because the Player already possesses the solidified flesh-and-blood form of the Space Dragon, the Fiery Sun Flame Dragon Bloodline will become the Player’s Spiritual aspect, i.e., a dominant existence of Elementalization.)
(Note 1: Material Body ’Space Dragon,’ Spiritual Element Body ’Fiery Sun Flame Dragon.’ Please explore the specific changes on your own.)
(Note 2: This Bloodline reward can be claimed at any time, but not after one in-game year.)
’Another Ancient Giant Dragon Bloodline?’
’And this time it’s a complete Divine Tier Bloodline?’
’I have to remember, the Space Dragon Bloodline I got back at Tier Six was a diluted one.’
’It only became complete when I reached Tier Seven, the moment I stepped into the High Tiers.’
’The process wasn’t long, but it destined me to walk a path different from other Players.’
’But for the True Game to generously bestow another complete Ancient Divine Tier Bloodline... that’s something I never could have imagined.’
’And this Divine Tier Bloodline is a bit different from the last one.’
’This time, the dominant traits of the Ancient Divine Tier Bloodline are all focused on Spiritual and Elemental power.’
’A material body for Space, and a Spiritual Element body for the Fiery Sun?’
’Honestly, if there wasn’t a deity’s projection right next to me, my personality would’ve had me claim it on the spot and test what happens when you stack two Ancient Powers.’
However, the rewards were not yet over.
The contract being signed marked the end of the war, but it wasn’t the final word on Lince’s evaluation for Inference Day.
Once Inference Day ended, there would certainly be more rewards waiting for him.
Lince’s heart burned with anticipation for this.
But he wasn’t overly impatient.
’This is good enough!’
’These rewards are more than good enough!’
’The promotion reward for Saint Tier is ready to be claimed at any time.’
’Not to mention this Ancient Bloodline reward?’
’When I think about it...’
’This game session, in just over one hundred and fifty days...’
’...I’ve jumped three Tiers in a row.’
’Tier Eight, Tier Nine, and Saint Tier, which I can break into at any moment.’
’This speed is simply record-breaking.’
And just as Lince was feeling immensely satisfied and pleased, a server-wide announcement suddenly followed, catching everyone off guard.
[Congratulations to all players on the server. The Carter World instance campaign has concluded in Perfection.]
[The game progress for this map, the World Recapture mission, has been completed ahead of schedule and has exceeded expectations. This is a special announcement!]
[Friendly Reminder: As the subsequent world war for this version has ended early, all current players will uniformly receive a special reward for the world-level mission: Growth Level +50%, regardless of Tier.]
[Friendly Reminder: In view of the sacred contract signed between the Chief Player and the Giant Demon Tobien Empire, in the Karte World, the Giant Race will be removed from players’ enemy list, and their faction status will be changed to ’Friendly Alliance’.]
[Version Update Preview has begun.]
[Due to the successful completion of the Karte World, this update will remove the ’Slay Giant Demons’ reward model (for obtaining experience and items) from the game mode for all second-wave players on the second map.]
[At the same time, the second map will launch a brand new Underground City Conquest Battle mode! All players originating from the second map can obtain experience and items by conquering Underground Cities and killing Demons. This is a special announcement.]
[Second Map Version Update Countdown: 30 minutes.]
[During the version update, the consciousness of all players on the second map will be forcibly logged out. During this logout period, players from the first map who participated in the war will be transported back to their original world, and their consciousness will return to the real-world node.]
[Note: For this war instance, the Inference Day settlement rewards for all participating players will be increased. For specific evaluations, please log in during the next game session after returning to reality.]
...
I have to say, it was rare for the True Game to be so generous.
Every player who participated, even those who just coasted, would receive a 50% Growth Level reward for their current Tier.
This reward was an extra bonus, not counted as part of the Inference Day settlement rewards.
One could imagine that the benefits the True Game gained from capturing a complete world far exceeded what Lince or any other player could have imagined.
Therefore, the cost of these rewards was probably just a drop in the bucket for the True Game.
’So, just like the Oakland Continent, the Karte World has now completely become the players’ backyard?’
’But when I check the True Game’s current Rule Erosion Level with my operational authority, isn’t it still only 38%?’
’So, the True Game still needs time to digest this world?’
’It’s just that without the interference from the Giant Demon Deities, the world is pretty much in the True Game’s pocket now.’
’I guess you could look at it that way.’
’And I’m realizing the True Game is the cautious type—it never acts without a guaranteed reward.’
’In reality, with 38% rule erosion, the game could have already revived a ton of Underground Cities on the Karte Continent to help players level up.’
’But the thing is, it didn’t.’
’It waited until now, only after confirming that the Giant Demons were really pulling out of this world.’
’Only then was it willing to spend Power to ’invest’ in this world.’
Lince looked at the countless pillars of light that suddenly rose into the sky after the announcement, and he didn’t know what to say.
’But the True Game is cautious, almost cowardly... which is actually a good thing for all the players, isn’t it?’
