Chapter 106: Chapter 105: Rebuilding the Mountain City, Advancing Demon Beasts

The ruined Mountain City was shrouded in an evergreen forest.

Below the Mountain City, tribes of Goblins lay basking in the sun amidst the ruins.

Humans, scattered in small groups throughout the endless forest, hunted small animals, hoping to quiet the protests of their rumbling stomachs.

The same world, different fates—all were playing out here.

But no matter their circumstances, none of these beings dared to approach the mountain ruins at the edge of the great forest any longer.

For, at some unknown point in time...

a pack of powerful Demon Wolves had suddenly appeared in this part of the Earth Realm.

These Demon Wolves used the ruins atop the mountains as their lair, descending from time to time to hunt.

This was anything but good news for the many Goblin Tribes living in the area.

The pack of Demon Wolves constantly preyed on any life that drew near the ruins, and in their greed, they were also driving away the surrounding Goblins.

But on this very day,

an even greater change was clearly on its way.

On an open-air plaza halfway up the slope of the ruined Mountain City,

a mound of earth suddenly seemed to melt away, revealing a halo of iridescent light shimmering within.

The halo expanded from small to large, quickly doubling its original diameter.

Then, a terrifying figure rose from the swirling vortex on the ground.

The next moment,

it was followed by even more terrifying life-forms!

After the Rock Steel Giant appeared, it immediately landed on a cliff face halfway up the mountain, high above the plaza.

As it looked down, the next to appear was the Tier Eight Earth Bear.

At the same time, a Tier Seven Butterfly Bird, a Wolf Beast, and three other massive creatures shot out one after another.

They observed their surroundings with curiosity, but they didn’t stray far from the ruins. Instead, they gazed into the distance, even sensing the Magic Environment in the air.

Meanwhile, a steady stream of Middle Tier Magical Beasts began to pour out in large numbers.

Just then, with a roar from the Earth Bear!

All at once, along the edge of the sizable plaza, a huge mass of rock and earth transformed into a giant staircase amid a tremendous RUMBLE, extending straight down to the foot of the mountain!

The Middle Tier Magical Beasts then galloped down this giant staircase toward the base of the mountain.

Of course, these Demon Beasts were not leaving randomly.

Lince had merely signaled for Phemos the Earth Bear to create this path to the mountain’s base in order to reduce the damage they might cause to the ruins.

It also served as preparation for the arrival of the main Demon Beast army that would follow.

York and the ten Knights behind him were already standing on higher ground above the plaza.

They gazed down at the entire mountain forest, and even at the ruins below, their eyes filled with confusion and bewilderment.

"Where in the world is this place?"

"Great Your Majesty, did you use an ancient Teleportation Array to send us to some unknown part of the Earth Realm?"

The Knight, Paul, was so profoundly shaken by everything that had happened and was still happening that he finally couldn’t help but ask the question from behind York.

At this very moment, what was being called an Oracle had already appeared in York’s mind.

Rebuild the ruins. Forge another domain for the Smith family in the New World.

York was stunned by the many details revealed in the Oracle.

Then, as large numbers of Low Tier Magical Beasts began escorting the first human captives into this world,

he had already started explaining everything to the Knights under his command.

"A New World?"

"Rebuild these ruins?"

"Forge another domain belonging to the Smith family?"

An Otherworld?

The God of Space and Exploration!!!

Finally, in that moment, all the Knight’s Squires understood everything!

No wonder His Majesty had summoned the Lord Marquis and them, his Squires, right in the middle of a Beast Tide!

An Otherworld!

A part of the Earth Realm free from the constraints of the human Kingdoms!

And in the future, huge numbers of Demon Beasts would even deliver countless human captives to this new domain of the Smith family.

Just the thought of it.

All at once, these Knight’s Squires knew what this meant!

It meant that as long as the time was right, as long as they rebuilt these ruins,

then their Lord could declare himself emperor or king in this Otherworld at any time!

Furthermore, in this New World, the territory of the Smith family would be protected by a host of powerful Demon Beasts!

A kingdom where the Human Race and Demon Beasts coexisted!

A kingdom with true Divine Favor, completely different from the Oakland Continent!

At that moment, an unprecedented fire lit up in the eyes of every Knight’s Squire!

As for York,

his shock had reached an unimaginable level, and the ambition in his eyes was no longer concealed!

’But it won’t be that simple.’

’In this New World, everything needs to be rebuilt from scratch, and we’re short on all kinds of supplies.’

’It will clearly take a lot of time to sort out and rebuild this unknown, ruined Mountain City.’

’Also, I have to consider the potential dangers of this world.’

But, regardless.

From this moment on, a brand new future was clearly and rapidly taking shape before York’s eyes.

At this very moment,

York ordered the Knight’s Squires to get moving!

"Everyone, head for the mountain path over here!"

"Don’t block the Teleportation Array! Move it! Otherwise, the Demon Beasts won’t mind having a little dessert."

"I know you’re all scared and lost, but listen to us. If you don’t want to die, don’t ask questions right now. Just behave. The esteemed Lord Marquis York will explain everything to you later, but for now, you will all quietly obey our commands!"

Paul shouted at the bewildered crowd that was continuously appearing on the plaza!

At this moment, the confusion and uncertainty in his and the other Knight’s Squires’ eyes were long gone.

All that remained was unparalleled enthusiasm and soaring morale.

And so, they quickly threw themselves into the task of organizing the captives.

Of course, during this process, Lince also commanded his Blood Contract Forest Wolves and Shadow Wind Giant Eagles to have their packs and flocks help York watch over these humans!

Thus, with the coordination of the Knights, the wolf packs, and the eagle flocks,

the crowd soon began to move toward several other flat areas below the plaza.

Watching everything York was doing, Lince was quite satisfied.

’Alright, time to get down to business.’

After the crowd of over two thousand people had been gradually divided into three groups and gathered in various parts of the Mountain City,

a massive number of Low Tier Magical Beasts and Tierless beasts began to pour out from the Gate of Truth.

Led by Entry Tier Magical Beasts, they all headed down the mountain.

And so, under the watchful eyes of the Earth Bear and Lince, it wasn’t until the Sun was about to set that the thirty-thousand-strong Demon Beast army had finally all come through the Gate of Truth into this world.

All the Demon Beasts gathered at the foot of the mountain, a dense and sprawling mass!

Led by the Middle and Low Tier Demon Lords, the Tierless beast packs all looked up toward the Earth Bear and the Rock Steel Giant on the mountainside.

The thirty thousand Tierless beasts were already ravenous.

Their eyes were filled with the desire to feed.

At this moment, the Rock Steel Giant and the Earth Bear exchanged a glance.

"So, next! Your Highness, we should take control of this entire forest, is that correct?"

Lince nodded.

"Yes, this was the plan all along!"

"We need to steadily expand our sphere of influence, and then, step by step, come to understand everything about this unknown world."

"From here on, I’ll be relying on you, Phemos!"

Phemos’s eyes shone; he now regarded Lince’s words as if they were from a deity.

He immediately expressed his reverence.

"For the long-cherished dream of us Dragon Species, anything is worth doing!"

"Then, Your Highness, leave everything to me!"

The Earth Bear gazed down upon the world before him, his eyes now burning with an intense fire!

As for Lince, he added after a moment of thought:

"Yes, I won’t say any more than necessary."

"However, Phemos, remember to inform the beast packs: as you clear this forest, if you encounter any native humans of this world, try to capture them alive!"

"I need to learn some truths about this world from them."

The Earth Bear heard this and nodded in agreement.

"Understood, Your Highness."

And so, without any further orders from Lince,

Phemos the Earth Bear began assigning tasks to the four Tier Seven Demon Beasts!

The four Tier Seven Demon Beasts were to clear the forests around the mountain range in four directions: east, south, west, and north.

At the same time, he assigned territories for all the Demon Lords to occupy.

In short, every place they passed through had to be completely conquered!

In addition, the Earth Bear also arranged for a dozen or so Middle Tier Flying Demon Beasts to scout the farther reaches of the forest in all directions!

Thus, with great momentum, the Demon Beast army split into four and began its conquest of the New World.

As for the Earth Bear, it quickly made its way along the mountainside to a suitable spot on the summit to serve as its command center.

From there, it would need to use the Flying Demon Beasts to relay different messages at different times, striving for the most optimal allocation and coordination of all the Demon Beasts.

After all this was done, Lince finally had a moment to rest.

However, the Demon Beasts had their tasks, and Lince had his.

While York and his Knights were calming the crowd and giving speeches, it lay perched on a suitable mountainside, looking down on them.

This was both a deterrent and the first step in spreading the faith of the Rock Steel Giant.

Although Lince knew that Giant Dragons didn’t need so-called faith to ascend to godhood,

the faith Lince wanted was not for the purpose of becoming a god.

He just wanted these people to know whose man York was.

It would also give these humans who had come to a New World a spiritual pillar centered on the Rock Steel Giant.

This way, they would feel secure and work diligently in the reconstruction efforts to come.

Admiring the strong is a universal truth in most worlds.

And the Rock Steel Giant was strong enough, while also possessing a divine aura.

This would also make it easier for York to govern them later on.

In the end, this was all Lince could do for now.

As for the days to come, as things unfolded, he would focus all his energy on the Demon Beasts.

At the same time, he would personally unveil the mysteries of this unknown world!

If the time was right, and if the Tier Nine Flame Red Dragon arrived, he wouldn’t mind seizing a few of this world’s towns.

After all, only wars that he personally led could allow him to grow stronger quickly.

Now that he had such a good foundation, how could he possibly pass up the chance to unleash a cataclysm upon the inhabitants of this world!
