Global Game: AFK In The Zombie Apocalypse Game-Chapter 3497: Clone
"Huh?"
Fang Heng felt somewhat surprised as he looked at the group of experimental subjects that had been knocked flying.
Holy light flowed over their bodies. Their injuries rapidly recovered, and they stood back up one after another.
"Whoosh! Whoosh whoosh!!!"
The experimental subjects charged again.
Fang Heng felt astonished.
Not only had holy-attribute power appeared on their bodies, their speed had also slightly increased?
The Central Federation’s newest experimental creatures?
Interesting!
Instead of rushing to completely destroy the experimental subjects, Fang Heng became interested. He abandoned spell attacks, suppressed part of his strength, and switched to close-quarters combat.
Whoosh!!
Fang Heng’s figure transformed into a shadow and shot rapidly toward the experimental subjects.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!"
In an instant, figures flashed across the metal room. The experimental subjects were continuously blasted away, crashing heavily into the metal walls.
Interesting!
The strength of the experimental subjects was still steadily increasing!
Ernst and Dormer hid inside a glass protective barrier and watched the fight.
Seeing Fang Heng faintly falling into a disadvantage, Ernst could not help but burst into wild laughter. "Hahahaha, Fang Heng, how is it? You feel it too, right? Don’t they look very similar to someone you’ve met before?"
"Whoosh!"
Fang Heng’s figure appeared in front of the glass cover. He punched an experimental subject flying, then turned back to look at Ernst behind the glass. "You mean the God King?"
"Whoosh!"
Two experimental subjects chased after him again. Fang Heng’s figure flickered as he evaded and repositioned.
"That’s right."
Ernst greatly enjoyed the pleasure of a cat playing with a mouse. Laughing loudly, he continued, "These are all replicas of the God King. We even have to thank the Holy Court. They provided us with the God King’s blood for research."
Dormer frowned and said, "Ernst, you’re saying too much."
"It doesn’t matter. So what if he knows?"
Hiding behind the metal barrier, Ernst looked at his creations as if admiring exquisite works of art and continued, "Have you noticed? Their strength keeps increasing without stopping."
"Whoosh!"
A shadow suddenly flashed. Fang Heng’s face appeared in front of the alloy glass of the metal barrier. He looked at Ernst and said, "Indeed, their strength seems to be continuously climbing. Was that also your design?"
Dormer was startled by Fang Heng’s sudden appearance, his heart tightening.
The next moment, several experimental subjects pounced toward Fang Heng. Fang Heng blasted two of them away with a punch and once again transformed into a dark streak as he evaded outward.
"Hahahahaha! Exactly!"
Excitement flashed in Ernst’s eyes. "Do you know? Their potential is endless! As long as they are given enough time, they can defeat anyone!"
"Anyone?" Fang Heng’s figure arced through the air again as he said, "If they’re really as powerful as you say, why didn’t I see these replicas in Hell?"
Hearing this, Ernst fell silent, and the excitement on his face faded.
It was not unwillingness.
It was that it could not be done.
The replicas were still in the experimental stage. Once they entered combat, as their strength rapidly increased, the energy materials supplying them were consumed at an equally rapid rate.
The fiercer the battle, the stronger the growth, and the faster the consumption.
The Central Federation was not unaware of this. They had tried deploying the replicas in combat, but even against monsters spilling out from Hell rifts, the replicas would self-disintegrate after about an hour due to energy depletion.
Moreover, the cost of creating a single clone was extremely high, and the research institute currently lacked the capability for mass production.
Thus, what Ernst said was merely a theory and could not be put into real combat at all.
"Bang!!!"
Another dull impact sounded as a clone was blasted away by Fang Heng’s punch, smashing heavily into the metal wall behind it.
"Hey, what’s going on, Ernst? They seem to be falling behind a bit..."
Fang Heng’s figure appeared once more in front of the glass cover. He turned to look at Ernst, his tone carrying a hint of mockery.
He had noticed it.
Once a clone’s strength reached a certain level, it could no longer continue to increase.
Instead, visible cracks began to appear on the replicas’ skin.
They looked as though they could no longer hold on.
"I’m not even satisfied yet."
Whoosh!!!
As soon as the words fell, Fang Heng’s speed increased again. He transformed into a shadow and vanished from Ernst’s sight.
The replicas chasing Fang Heng had already reached their speed limit and could no longer keep up, yet they still followed their commands, continuously pursuing him and forcefully enhancing their bodies to accelerate.
Before Fang Heng could launch another attack, the replicas’ bodies gradually shattered under the extreme speed, until, with a bang, they exploded into a blur of blood and flesh.
What!
How was that possible!
Ernst stared through the glass protective barrier at the exploded replicas, his eyes filled with disbelief.
He had conducted countless tests on the replicas. Each time, they weakened gradually due to insufficient energy supply. They had never collapsed because their abilities had risen to a certain limit.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!!!"
In the blink of an eye, as their speed reached the limit, all the replicas collapsed one after another. Only Fang Heng remained in the metal room.
"Whoosh!"
Fang Heng’s figure appeared, staring through the thick metal barrier at Ernst inside the glass. He said coldly, "Not satisfied yet? Do you have any other toys?"
Ernst was instantly filled with rage. He glared at Fang Heng, reached out, and pressed a nearby button, shouting angrily, "Fang Heng! Don’t get smug too early!"
"Ka..."
As the button was pressed, the vents in the metal room opened, and large amounts of dark purple mist poured in.
"Looks like there’s nothing fun left."
Fang Heng glanced at the poisonous fog drifting around, lightly shook his head, and, looking bored, punched toward the metal barrier in front of him.
"Bang!!!"
A heavy impact rang out.
What!
Ernst’s heart jolted in terror. He discovered in horror that the more than five-meter-thick alloy metal barrier in front of him had been blasted open with a hole taller than a person.
The special laboratory had been designed specifically to test the strength of the replicas and used the world’s finest alloy materials. It was already the most advanced defensive alloy in the world.
Yet it had been punched open?
Ernst suddenly realized that Fang Heng’s strength had reached such an absurd level.
"Oh? Pretty tough."
Fang Heng was also somewhat surprised. He stepped forward through the blasted breach and entered, facing the two of them directly.
"Stop! Raise your hands!"
As he spoke, the door behind Ernst was opened. A fully armed Central Federation guard unit arrived and aimed their guns at Fang Heng.
"Get lost!"
Fang Heng snorted coldly as his mental strength surged.
The Federation guard team that had just rushed in was instantly struck by psychic mental shock. They were stunned, while their chests felt as if they had been heavily attacked. Their bodies flew uncontrollably backward, smashing into the walls before slowly sliding down.
Fang Heng looked at Ernst and Dormer again and lightly shook his head. "It seems you’re not very willing to cooperate..."
