GLOBAL AWAKENING: My 10,000x Exp Multiplier-Chapter 77: []The System Key, An Unkillable Target
The heavy energy blade descended like a guillotine.
To Sia Vance and Aria, the moment seemed to stretch into an agonizing nightmare.
They had dismantled the Sentinels with flawless coordination and reveled in the overwhelming power of their new gear.
But now they were instantly reminded of the merciless power of the Spire.
The Level 70 Spire Executioner did not bypass their defenses through stealth or speed.
It bypassed them through pure administrative force. It spawned directly into the backline with its weapon already in motion.
Hana Ryker did not even have time to turn around.
She was still smiling with her dark eyes looking toward her friends. She was entirely unaware of the massive crimson blade tearing through the air just inches from her neck.
Aria stretched her hand forward. A desperate burst of pink and gold healing magic erupted from her fingertips, but it was useless.
Healing magic could not fix a decapitation.
Sia threw her obsidian shield and it sailed through the air. However, the heavy metal was a fraction of a second too slow to intercept the strike.
The crimson blade struck Hana’s neck.
But it did not cut her.
The moment the lethal weapon made physical contact with Hana’s skin, the legendary Sun-Silk Aegis draped over her shoulders flared.
The obsidian fabric and starlight runes erupted with a blinding golden light. The defensive item absorbed the kinetic impact just as Vahn had designed it to do.
But what happened next had absolutely nothing to do with Vahn’s crafted armor.
The heavy metallic hum of the Executioner violently stuttered.
The massive black iron monstrosity froze completely mid swing. A horrific sound of grinding digital gears echoed through the penthouse. It sounded like a supercomputer attempting to process a catastrophic error.
The crimson energy blade shattered. It did not break into physical pieces but dissolved into jagged red wireframes that sparked erratically in the air.
The corruption rapidly spread up the Executioner’s arm. The heavy iron plating peeled back to reveal streams of violently glitching binary code.
Above the paralyzed monster, a massive glaring red system prompt appeared. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
[CRITICAL PARADOX DETECTED.]
[Error 404: Base Code Rejection. Hostile action against foundational architecture is prohibited.]
[Entity deletion initiated to preserve system stability.]
Hana blinked as the blinding golden light of her coat slowly faded.
She finally turned around and her eyes widened slightly. She took in the towering frozen nightmare standing directly behind her.
The Executioner was trembling and its digital form unraveled as the Spire’s own engine forcefully rejected its existence.
To the Spire, Hana Ryker was not just a Level 1 civilian.
She was not just a refugee or a weak link in the perimeter. The Alien AI had spent five years slowly formatting her physical body.
It was preparing to use her as the living server battery that would bridge Earth and Aetheria. She was the literal System Key!
She was the foundational file upon which the new reality was built.
Mathematically, the Spire’s own monsters could not damage her without damaging the system itself.
Hana tilted her head and observed the glitching monster without any fear. She reached out a single delicate finger and playfully tapped the Executioner’s heavily armored chest plate.
"Boop."
Instantly, the Level 70 Mythic boss shattered.
It did not explode with concussive force but instantly collapsed into a billion microscopic pixels of golden dust. The dust drifted harmlessly to the penthouse floor like a tiny sandstorm.
Hana brushed a speck of dust from her shoulder and turned back to Aria and Sia with a wide grin.
"Well," she chirped, completely unbothered by her near death experience. "I guess Vahn’s armor works really well! Ten out of ten, right?"
Aria did not laugh. Her eyes were wide and her chest heaved with panicked breaths.
She dropped to her knees and her wooden staff clattered against the marble.
The absolute terror of nearly losing Vahn’s sister had entirely short circuited her brain!
"Hana," Aria gasped as she scrambled forward across the floor and grabbed the younger girl by the shoulders. "Are you okay? Did it touch you? Tell me if you feel any latency or any pain at all!"
"I’m perfectly fine, Sister-in-Law," Hana promised softly.
Her playful demeanor softened as she saw genuine tears pooling in the Priestess’s eyes. "The blade didn’t even leave a scratch. The monster just broke."
"I need to run a diagnostic," Aria insisted while her hands trembled violently.
She didn’t wait for permission. She pressed her palms flat against Hana’s chest right over the glowing fabric. She closed her eyes and channeled a deep tissue mana scan to search for any damage.
Aria’s restorative magic gently swept through Hana’s system. She analyzed her heart rate, physical density, and mana pathways.
Suddenly, Aria froze.
The warm light of her healing magic flickered and died. She yanked her hands back as if she had just touched a live electrical wire.
Her eyes flew open and she stared at Hana in horror. The blood drained entirely from the Priestess’s face, making her pale as a ghost.
"Priestess?" Sia asked while stepping forward. "What is it? Is the target compromised?"
Aria couldn’t speak. Her mind was frantically trying to process the staggering data her diagnostic spell had just returned.
She looked at Hana and saw the healthy flush of her cheeks. But beneath that human exterior, Aria had seen the truth.
Hana didn’t have a human mana pool. She didn’t possess standard biological veins or a standard cellular structure.
Her internal data read as pure Origin Code!
It was the exact same terrifying infinite blue energy that made up the physical walls of the Chronos Spire.
The incurable autoimmune disease that had kept Hana bedridden for years hadn’t been an illness. It was the Alien AI slowly formatting her physical body.
Aria slowly stood up with shaking legs. She looked out the shattered windows of the penthouse and gazed at the distant silhouette of the Spire.
The heavy weight of what Vahn Ryker had been carrying alone finally crashed down upon her.
He wasn’t fighting for fame. He wasn’t fighting for Administrator privileges.
He was fighting a desperate war against a galactic empire to stop them from plugging his little sister into a battery!
Before Aria could utter a single word, the secure comms in her ear crackled to life.
"Logistics Anchor, report." Vahn’s voice echoed through the earpiece.
He sounded exhausted. The noise of clashing metal and roaring monsters was faintly audible in the background. "I have breached Floor 75. I felt a massive localized data spike on the faction registry. Status of the perimeter?"
Aria stared at Hana with the horrific truth burning in her mind.
She took a deep breath and her voice trembled as she responded.
"Vahn. We need to talk."
