Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System-Chapter 95: The Visitors
Mei knew that if Kai, who was in the leaderboard, were really her reliable officemate, he’d also get curious if he saw her name in the list. Perhaps, they could have a chance of meeting each other...
However, for that to happen, she needed to reach level 10 as quickly as possible. Furthermore, she had to maintain it and ensure she remained in the Top 20, even if not the Top 3.
After all, only those in the Top 20 would be given rewards.
She’d be more noticeable if she were a higher rank for sure.
In any case, Mei knew really well that using her camouflage to her advantage would only be her way to beat this Global Event.
After careful planning, she lured the Tyrant toward a gorge where the ground was unstable.
She did this carefully since the Tyrant was accompanied by some Sentinels and protected by a few Spyder Rangers from afar...
"Just be patient..." Mei reminded herself as she baited them with noise and movement, vanishing into the trees whenever they tried to strike. Of course, she used all the tools she found in the laboratory to make this happen.
Furthermore, what truly helped her in this operation was the fact that their Sensors weren’t as impressive as the Hounds she had seen before.
Thanks to that, she was able to go according to her plan...
The A.I. army soon grew frustrated, if that was the right term, as they started smashing through obstacles while chasing her traces!
Finally, the Field Tyrant stepped onto the weakened ground, and it was followed by the Sentinels!
Crack!
The trap worked!
The earth had soon collapsed beneath the Tyrant’s weight, sending it crashing into the canyon. Mei had already prepared explosives scavenged from the laboratory.
She triggered them, and the blast tore into the Tyrant’s exposed furnace!
Boom!
Soon, she saw the machine trying to get out or move away, but its vents started spewing fire!
Then, there was a second explosion that came from the Field Tyrant itself!
This time, it was actually a lot stronger to the point that Mei believed that she would not be able to loot anything at all!
Then, soon, the system messages flooded her vision.
[ Enemy Unit Destroyed: Field Tyrant (C) ]
[ +8,000 Experience Points ]
[ Enemy Unit Destroyed: Sentinel (D) ]
[ +1,000 Experience Points ]
...

Then, she had indeed leveled up!
[ You have leveled up! ]
[ Level: 10 ]
[ Health Points +100 ]
[ Spirit Points +2 ]
[ Physique Rating has improved! ]
[ Inventory Slots Expanded: +1 ]
"Finally!" Mei clenched her fist in excitement as she read through the messages.
[ Congratulations! You have entered the Leaderboard! ]
[ Current Rank: #3 ]
[ Congratulations! You are the third survivor to reach Level 10. ]
[ Reminder: Rankings will be recalculated every 30 days. ]
[ Maintain your position for 30 consecutive days to receive an Exclusive Reward. ]
Mei felt extremely excited...
She had done it. Against all odds, she had defeated a Field Tyrant alone!
Although she used a trick, it was something that others could never copy because of the terrain and timing. She had achieved something incredible!
The victory was more than just numbers. It was proof that she could fight, that she could carve her place in this brutal world.
’Living Camauflage... I knew it. This isn’t just for escaping.’ Mei thought as she soon, she felt something off.
She had a Gene Skill called Full Sense... It allowed her camouflage talent to become more difficult to detect, but it also enhanced her senses...
’Shit... The Spyders are still active!’ Mei recalled and looked around.
Then suddenly, she saw a flash of light! Her Full Sense was triggered, so she swiftly moved away!
Boom!
Her previous position was obliterated by a beam of light. The ground where she had stood moments earlier was scorched black!
"Alright... time to move," Mei whispered as she calculated the angle of attack...
Soon, she sprinted toward cover, moving through the terrain to break the Spyders’ line of sight. Using her camouflage, she blended into the rocks and trees, vanishing from any of their angle of attack.
Thankfully, she had already leveled up, and she had full Spirit Points once again.
"Please don’t just shoot blindly..."
For now, she could only pray that they wouldn’t do something stupid like firing in her specific direction to force her out.
That would be a disaster!
Then, after several minutes of silence, Mei could finally smile a little.
She had still succeeded in her mission!
Although the Spyders were still around the area, she was already satisfied with the fact that she had reached Level 10!

As soon as Kai and the others finished salvaging the wreckage, they wasted no time retreating back to their stronghold, New Haven‑45.
The haul was heavy, but they were all satisfied with their work.
Everyone was eager to return, hoping for rest and perhaps even a surprise encounter with the elusive Gene Trader.
Kai himself had some anticipation. The system had hinted that the Gene Traders could appear randomly, and he prayed this would be their lucky day.
But when the gates of New Haven‑45 came into view, his hope quickly soured.
The perimeter alarms were already activated, the basic wires they set up had already been cut off, and some simple traps had also been triggered.
Then, they heard the survivors on watch were shouting in panic!
Various figures moved, attempting to scale the walls... However, what was surprising was the fact that they were not Sentinels, not Spyders, but something far more unsettling.
Kai frowned at the sight...
Although they were lucky that the siege had just started and they arrived in time, he was also confused by what he was seeing!
These weren’t machines. They were human... or at least they had been.
They still looked human at first glance with two arms, two legs, and a head... but something was clearly wrong. Their bodies had changed in unnatural ways.
Their limbs were uneven, their features distorted, their movements stiff and strange!
It was like they were seeing undead creatures instead!
