Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 1071: Shane’s Clan Message
[ Shane: I’ll be there in a few days, Fiona. Just make the merchants comfortable... Anyway, if needed, just contact Raze or Diana, they have enough Spirit Stones for trade. ]
Shane then scrolled further down his Chat System. Fiona’s urgent messages were still fresh in his mind, but another name caught his attention.
Diana.
He tapped her thread, and several messages appeared.
[ Diana: Shane... I remember you need a report about the Anti‑Zombie Injectors made by Anna... they work. We tested them against Zombie Lords and even Kings. Their superpowers were suppressed almost instantly. ]
[ Diana: It happened after Springriver Manor was attacked. The Sky Riders Clan and Green Haven Clan of the Overlord Alliance summoned multiple Zombie Kings and Lords. It was tough... But the injectors turned the tide. ]
[ Diana: The injectors don’t kill them outright, but they weaken their aura and abilities. It gave our warriors a chance to finish them. So, it doesn’t really make them into humans or stop their mutation, but it suppresses their powers. Still, if used against weaker Zombies, they’d just die or become paralyzed. The sample we have is still not that huge, so it may not be reliable. ]
Shane’s eyes narrowed. "So they’re real... and effective."
He scrolled again.
[ Diana: Shane, are you alright? I heard that you fought Lancelot of the Overlord Alliance and his Knight of Rounds. Did you survive? Please tell me you’re safe. ]
[ Diana: If you’re injured, I can send healers. Don’t hide it. We need you alive. ]
Shane exhaled slowly. "Diana... always direct." He typed a quick reply:
[ Shane: I’m fine. Lancelot was strong, but we managed. Don’t worry. Focus on securing those injectors. They may be the key to countering the Overlord Alliance’s tactics. I think they have a method to create a lot of Zombie Lord Summoning Stones. ]
He closed Diana’s thread and checked the next set of blinking notifications.
Raze.
[ Raze: Shane, do you have spare Protection Tokens? The shelter is under constant siege. I can give you more Dragon Blood. Add more Protection Tokens to my soldiers. ]
[ Raze: If you can spare more, I’ll add a Legendary Bow I found. It’s not Mythic, but it’s solid. ]
Shane rubbed his chin. "Protection Tokens... I can make more of those."
Next was Travis.
[ Travis: Shane, I heard you cleared another Lord‑Tier. Do you have spare Territory Key Fragments? I’ll trade a Legendary Armor set. ]
[ Travis: I’m sure you have plenty of those... So, if you have spare, do not sell it to others. Only me, okay? Also, there’s a leak about the Anti-Zombie Injectors that you have. That’s pretty awesome. ]
Shane muttered, "Everyone knows about the anti-zombie injectors now."
Another thread blinked. Natalie.
[ Natalie: Shane, I need more of your Lightning Arrows. My archers are running low. I’ll trade Spirit Stones and others you need. ]
[ Natalie: Also, do you have any intel on Overlord Alliance’s power? I want to know their strength. Right, I heard that many other Clans were watching your battle against the Overlord Clan... They were quite disappointed that you didn’t suffer much. Only Lancelot was defeated. ]
Shane chuckled after hearing this. He knew about five or so other clans watching their battle. It was probably the same with Lancelot.
That was why he decided not to overdo it after all.
He didn’t want the others to benefit from destroying Lancelot’s main army. He also didn’t want Lancelot to be forced to use his trump cards and damage his lineup in the process.
He scrolled again. Diana had sent more follow‑ups.
[ Diana: Shane, if you’re planning to move toward Eden Island, or wherever it was, let me know. I want to travel too! Right, I heard about Vasco’s shipbuilding project. They must succeed first if you need more people, should I sent the blacksmiths there? They have no experience but they’re great metalworker. ]
[ Diana: Also, don’t underestimate the Overlord Alliance. They’re regrouping after the failed assault. Lancelot may return. ]
Shane gently nodded as he saw the message. "She’s right. The Alliance won’t stop."
He then sent replies to her messages... After some time, he also informed her that she could join only once they had a clear and safe path in the sea that they could use to travel.

Then, since Shane was already in the chat system, he might as well check the Regional Chat this time.
Shane tapped the Regional Chat tab. Instantly, dozens of messages scrolled across his interface, survivors from different shelters and clans talking openly.
[ Marcus: Anyone else notice the sudden spike in Spitter activity near Sector 19? They’re launching acid faster than usual. My patrol lost three men yesterday. What the heck is happening? I thought we still have a year. ]
[ Elaine: Yes, Marcus. We had the same issue near the Riverbend Outpost. Acid burns went straight through our Mystic Shields. Something’s changing. But it’s not really a big deal right now. ]
[ Travis: Could be linked to an upcoming event. But since the system confirmed that we have a year to rest. I think that those Spitter Zombies just ate something. Maybe there’s a Zombie Lord Territory close by and boosting their power. Anyway, don’t underestimate them. ]
[ Natalie: If that’s true, then I hope we have something that could suppress further mutations of Zombies. You know? Suppressing Zombie Lords is one thing, but suppressing mutations in Spitters could save lives. ]
[ Travis: Ahem... I wonder if there’s an Anti-Zombie Mutations out there. ]
[ Natalie: I’m wander that too... ]
[ Raze: Lol. ]
Shane couldn’t help but laugh after seeing the message on the Regional Chat. Anyway, the injectors were still in trial and needed more tests to ensure that they were safe to humans. Furthermore, they also need to create some cures and other stuff in case it was accidentally used on humans.
In short, it couldn’t go out to the public just yet since there might a lot of accidents happening.
[ Alice Mae: Has anyone seen the strange mist near the Forest of Whispers in Secter 18? Other Survivors reported hallucinations before being attacked. ]
[ Liam: That’s real. My squad entered the forest last week. The mist drains stamina. We barely escaped. ]
[ Grace: Mist Zombies? Or some kind of Spirit‑based mutation? ]
[ Marcus: Either way, don’t go in without purification spells. Maybe asked for some blessings from Natalie’s priests before going there. ]
Shane scrolled further.
[ Frank: My White Tiger is still missing! Sector 18, Maple City. Please, if anyone sees it, message me. ]
[ Elaine: Frank, pets are being stolen more often. Keep your guard up. ]
[ Travis: If it’s alive, someone probably wants ransom. Don’t give in too easily. ]
[ Raze: Or trade Protection Tokens. Pets are valuable in battle. ]
Shane muttered, "Even pets are becoming bargaining chips..."
More chatter filled the feed.
[ Victor: Anyone trading Spirit Stones? I need three thousand of them. I can offer Legendary Daggers and Zombie Cores ]
[ Natalie: I’ll trade 1,000. But only if you add Item Upgrade Crystals. ]
[ Victor: Fine. Let’s negotiate the trade. You have a Shelter nearby, right? I’ll visit. ]
[ Elaine: Careful, Victor. Upgrade Crystals are getting rare lately... Their drop rate had gone lower this time. ]
Just like that, the chat kept flowing and soon, Shane froze at the last messages.
[ Kendra: Strange discovery today. We found corpses drained of blood, but not eaten. No bite marks. Anyone know what that means? ]
[ Travis: Vampiric Talent? Maybe. Or a new mutation. Either way, dangerous. ]
[ Elaine: If it’s a Talent, the survivor must be rogue if they’re hunting human survivors. Be careful. ]
"What?"
Shane’s eyes locked on the Regional Chat feed, his breath stopped for a moment as he read Kendra’s message.
Corpses drained of blood... no bite marks.
His mind immediately went back to Statham, the Vampire Lord he had slain months ago. He had taken Statham’s loot, destroyed his body, and confirmed the kill. There should have been no one else with that cursed Vampiric Talent.
"This..." Shane muttered.
"Impossible. Unless... a successor survived."
The thought chilled him. If another survivor had inherited or replicated Statham’s ability, it meant someone was out there draining humans, not zombies... and this was a huge matter.
That kind of rogue talent could destabilize entire shelters.
Without hesitation, Shane opened his Clan Channel.
[ Shane: Clan Members, urgent. Reports of blood‑drained corpses in Sector 18. No bite marks. This matches Vampiric Talent. The Vampire Lord is dead, but someone else may have inherited or awakened it. ]
[ Shane: Investigate immediately. Track any suspicious survivors with abnormal feeding habits. If confirmed, eliminate them. We cannot allow another Vampire Lord to rise. ]
He leaned back as he finished sending a message.
"If this survivor exists, they’re a threat to every shelter. We end it before it spreads."
The Clan Channel lit up with acknowledgments.
Shane knew his order was harsh, but necessary. Vampiric Talent was too dangerous to leave unchecked.

In the meantime, in the Blue Haven Shelter, Fiona caught Shane’s urgent message in the Clan Channel. She couldn’t help but feel curious about this Vampiric Talent seeing how Shane acted. That Vampire Lord must be really strong...
Without hesitation, the Rat Princess used her talents and controlled a dozen of her loyal rodents.
[ Fiona: Understood, Shane. I’ll send my rats immediately to Sector 18. They’ll scout the area quietly and report back if they find any trace of this rogue. ]
Just like that, the group of rats scattered into the night, slipping through cracks and moving toward Maple City.
