Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes-Chapter 381: Solution
Hunter looked back at her with slight disbelief. "That’s all?"
Lana smiled faintly. "There are a few more things."
She continued, "If I ever want to purchase land in this city, I should be given priority."
Her voice remained steady. "I want the right to acquire plots of my choice five times each year."
Hunter listened carefully.
"And in terms of priority," Lana added, "my purchasing rights should be second only to yours."
Hunter silently watched her, waiting for the real demand to appear.
But Lana calmly continued.
"I also plan to establish an entertainment company here."
Her gaze hardened slightly. "I do not want political interference in my company."
Her voice became colder.
"No actresses being forced into compromises. No officials abusing their authority."
She leaned forward slightly.
"If in the future I obtain solid evidence that certain officials are corrupt... I want your guarantee that they will face punishment."
Hunter narrowed his eyes.
Lana continued firmly.
"If I present sufficient proof, you must ensure those officials go to prison."
Her voice softened slightly.
"And even if the evidence is not perfect... if it is strong enough to raise serious suspicion... you must remove them from power."
Silence filled the room.
Hunter and Magnus both remained quiet.
After Lana finished speaking, the two men slowly looked at each other before turning back toward her.
Hunter cleared his throat. "That’s... all?"
Lana nodded calmly.
Both Hunter and Magnus were stunned. ’Is this girl serious?’
These demands were almost meaningless compared to the amount of money she was offering.
Even if Lana had never mentioned these conditions, they probably would have granted them after a little negotiation.
Yet she had chosen these harmless conditions as her bargaining terms.
Hunter frowned slightly. ’Her investment probably isn’t very large.’
Otherwise she would not make such insignificant requests.
He looked at Lana carefully. "How much are you planning to invest?"
Lana raised her hand and silently showed five fingers.
Hunter looked at them. "Five million dollars?"
There was a trace of disappointment in his voice.
Still, he forced himself to remain calm.
’Five million is still better than nothing.’
But Lana shook her head.
Magnus leaned forward slightly, curiosity shining in his eyes. "Fifteen million dollars?"
Lana shook her head again.
Hunter and Magnus frowned simultaneously. "Five hundred thousand dollars?"
For a moment, Lana almost felt the urge to slap both of them.
’Why can’t they just wait for me to finish speaking?’
She exhaled softly before answering.
"Five hundred million dollars."
The words echoed quietly in the room.
Hunter and Magnus froze completely. Their jaws nearly dropped to the floor.
Five hundred million dollars.
A strange doubt crept into his mind.
’How could someone this young still have five hundred million dollars left?’
He had seen many rich heirs before. Many of them were spoiled beyond imagination, but even among those extravagant families, he had never seen someone spend money this recklessly.
’Four hundred million dollars before... and now another five hundred million?’
His thoughts grew heavier.
’Surely she doesn’t actually have nine hundred million dollars, right?’
He looked at Lana carefully, studying her calm expression.
Perhaps she simply did not understand the seriousness of the situation.
He opened his mouth slightly.
"Maybe you don’t realize how serious this amount is..."
Before he could finish speaking, Lana casually took out her phone.
Her fingers moved quickly across the screen as she tapped a few numbers.
Hunter frowned slightly, confused. ’What is she doing?’
Suddenly... Ding.
Magnus’s phone chimed.
Both Hunter and Magnus instinctively turned toward Magnus’s phone.
Magnus picked up his phone slowly. His hands trembled slightly.
The moment his eyes landed on the number displayed on the screen, his entire body stiffened.
His grip loosened so much that he nearly dropped the phone.
His face turned pale.
Magnus slowly raised his head and looked at Hunter.
He did not need to say anything.
The shock on his face already told the entire story.
Hunter immediately understood.
Lana had not been exaggerating.
She had actually transferred five hundred million dollars.
Just like that. In an instant.
The girl sitting before them suddenly no longer looked like a naive young investor.
Instead, she looked almost like an angel descending from the heavens.
Hunter swallowed slowly.
’Perhaps she already knew these conditions were meaningless... Perhaps she intentionally made those harmless demands so we would feel at ease.’
If that was the case...
Then she was far more considerate than they had imagined.
On the other side of the table, Lana sat quietly, her thoughts drifting.
In her previous life, the people who had received similar privileges from Hunter had practically ruled half the city.
They had used their authority arrogantly and enjoyed countless benefits.
’Now those privileges will belong to me instead...’
Meanwhile, Hunter and Magnus both felt a strange heaviness in their hearts.
Five hundred million dollars.
With this single investment, Lana had instantly become one of the greatest benefactors of Hedge City.
Just moments ago, they had been secretly guarding themselves against her intentions.
They had suspected her.
Yet she had given them five hundred million dollars without hesitation.
The realization made both of them feel ashamed.
Hunter silently made a decision in his heart.
’Even if she didn’t ask for it... I will still give her a portion of management authority.’
At the very least, five percent of the city’s management rights should belong to Lana.
With five hundred million dollars, many of the city’s most urgent problems could now be solved immediately.
Hunter looked at Lana with deep gratitude before smiling.
"I will personally maintain a financial ledger."
His voice carried firm sincerity. "I will make sure there is absolutely no corruption involving this money."
Lana nodded calmly. "Good."
Then she continued. "Also, regarding the lack of superhumans... I might have an idea."
Hunter and Magnus immediately looked at her.
Lana leaned slightly forward.
"In the suburban regions of safe zone, there are many talented superhumans."
She paused briefly. "But most of them are poor."
