She walked towards Ezra’s apartment, which was still open, and when she stepped inside, she saw Ezra drinking alcohol.

Now, Lana knew that he liked to drink a lot, and a faint instinct, or to be precise, a premonition, appeared in her mind, as if she got to understand how that girl’s mother died.

However, she didn’t show it on her face. Instead, Ezra stared at Lana and gave her a lewd smile.

"Oh... well, well... isn’t this the student who loves to blackmail others? What are you doing here? Weren’t you supposed to leave?"

Lana laughed; her cheerful smile might have made it seem as if someone had asked her about whether,

"I am here because I wanted to tell you that I had completed the mission."

Hearing those words, Ezra stared at Lana with a dangerous glint in his eyes and smirked.

"Wasn’t the mission over from the moment you threatened me?"

Now, he couldn’t do much for her, so why was she even here to put up the shows?

Lana smiled gently and said,

"I never leave my work half done. After all, compared to others, I have work ethics."

Upon hearing those words, the man chuckled as if he had heard a joke, but he remained silent and waited for Lana to continue her performance.

Lana smiled and said, "I have found some kind of clues about the schemes, like how you had an affair with a widow."

Hearing those words for the first time, the indifferent look on Ezra’s face and the lust in his eyes evaporated in the air as if someone had stepped right on his tail.

He stared at Lana with slightly widened eyes, as if not being able to understand how she was able to know all of this.

Lana, on the other hand, continued at her pace, saying, "I also know that the widow had a daughter whom you killed."

She didn’t specify to whom she meant ’whom.’

Hearing those words, Ezra’s eyes widened, and then he shook his head, saying,

"You are lying. I haven’t killed anyone, and now you are slandering me." He then slew Lana.

Lana chuckled and said,

"I am not lying. In fact, I have proved it. Do you forget that exorcists nowadays can use something called a soul storage that can store ghosts and use ghosts to make testimonies?"

Faint sweat trickled down his forehead as Ezra immediately said, "I will claim that the ghost is lying."

Lana laughed and looked at Ezra, saying, "You still don’t know about the technology."
