Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes-Chapter 106: New Mission
Mr. Crow snorted and showed off his black wings in the hopes of attracting Lana’s attention.
Lana’s attention was diverted to Mr. Crow, and a giggle escaped her lips. "Yeah, yeah. My Mr. Crow is matching with me too."
Mr. Crow puffed his chest in pride, but then the next second, Lana’s words made him furious.
"Today, if you seek out other crows to mate with, they would agree to your proposal." Lana laughed and ran away. While Mr. Crow was confused as he flapped his wings, and by the time he realized that Lana was teasing him, a good distance was covered...
"You! Just you wait! Get your ass here, Lana! You insolent girl! You love to tease me so much! Is this your kink?" Mr. Crow’s furious ’caw’ echoed in the empty hallways as Lana dodged the crow while laughing.
In the end, Lana’s entire hair was messed up, and there were also a few small scratches on her arms, while Mr. Crow mournfully looked at his wings, which had lost a significant amount of feathers.
His beady eyes stared at Lana with a furious gaze, and Lana lowered her head in guilt.
In the future, if Mr. Crow’s little chick were to ask how he was bald before he even reached old age, she would be blamed too!
Sigh! How she wished her Crow had some regeneration ability...
At the dining table, Lucian elegantly ate his breakfast, while Lana’s mind was preoccupied with other thoughts.
Once the breakfast was finished, Lucian wiped his jelly-like lips, put away the tissue, and stared at Lana. "I will drop you off at the university."
"Another of living a luxurious life because of boss Lucian’s generous personality." Lana teased, her cheerful response made Lucian smile.
"What? Does Miss Lana want to reward me?" Lucian’s ambiguous words made Mr. Crow narrow his eyes; meanwhile, Lana took the words at face value and stated sternly, "Mr. Lucian, you can’t expect anything from a broke person!"
Lucian laughed gently. "Broke? I thought with the black card, you could almost rival the Almond family in terms of wealth."
"Black card?" Lana was genuinely puzzled, while Mr. Crow stuck out his tongue and explained, "It is placed in your bag. Lucy had asked me to hand it over to you. I forgot."
"Why? Has the black card not reached your hand?" Lucian arched a brow; however, his gentle eyes swept to Lucy.
"Ah? I have." Lana admitted. "My memories were a bit chaotic just now. Lucy had handed it to Mr. Crow, and he had handed it back to me. But I was preoccupied by something else, so..."
Lucian smiled and suddenly asked, "I heard you wanted to deposit cash into the bank? Why not exchange it with me? Provide me with the cash, and I will open a bank account on your behalf and transfer the money."
"No need, Mr. Lucian, I... I am an independent woman." Lana quickly denied. Her mind was churning at the fastest speed.
Giving him the cash was almost equivalent to accepting her crime of being the silver kitten!
Before Lucian could continue, Lana stood up, and her melodious voice echoed, "Let’s go. By the way, Mr. Lucian, where did you buy your designer clothes from?"
Lucian saw through the attempt. Even though Lana masked her anxiety much better than any subordinate he had and impressed him with her composure, Lana still failed. Miserably so.
"I bought it from Navy Rivers. If you want, I can ask them to make ten customized clothes according to your preference!"
"No need." Lana waved her hand. Her wardrobe was filled with clothes, and Lana might not be able to finish wearing all of them by the end of the year!
Soon Lana and Lucian arrived outside the university gate. Before Lana could leave, Lucian’s gentle voice stopped her: "Miss Lana."
"Yes?" Lana’s eyes clashed with blue eyes, and she heard the most soothing words she had heard till now: "If anyone bullies you, just come to me. I will deal with them. And don’t waste your precious tears on unimportant people. It’s a huge economic loss for the country."
Lana almost laughed out loud. Lucian’s perfectly shaped lips almost speak the words that touch her heart.
Someday... she will truly...
"Miss Lana?" Lucian’s gentle yet amused voice broke Lana’s fantasy; she blushed because of her behavior.
"Ah? Yes! I understand. Thank you." With that, Lana bolted out as if a hellhound were chasing her. Her exit couldn’t be any faster.
Lucian laughed seeing Lana’s behavior and shook his head. "What a coward. Dare to lust but fear to be exposed."
...............
Lana rushed into the university and patted her blushing cheeks. She murmured in a soft voice, "Good! Fantasize about him right in front of him, and you will blow your cover on your own!"
(Lana’s background song: I fantasize about you, all the time; if you were mine~)
It took her a few minutes to regain her composure before Lana made her way toward the mission hall. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Why?
With her speed, what if she reaches the Yellow Rank tomorrow? Ok, that was a lie, but it’s always good to prepare in advance.
Once inside the mission hall, Lana selected an E-rank mission for 20 credits.
This mission was much more peculiar than the one before.
The mission issuer was a rich young lady named Naina. She claimed that a ghost was copying her movements and requested a mystic cultivator to stay by her side for 2 days.
Other than the 20 credits, she also promised to give $200,000!
How can Lana decline the extra bonus? Without hesitation, she accepted the mission, and once she got the receipt, she went to the cultivation room.
Like usual, her classmates were cultivating, and Lana too joined them.
After classes, Lana left for Naina’s house and didn’t forget to inform the driver about her mission.
Naina’s family lived in the upscale community of Prince Bay. Usually those who have a connection with the military or are enrolled in the military live there.
