Chapter 829: Chapter 829: The Inheritance of The Barbarian Queen

"Ooh~ Aaah!!"

Inside a hidden realm situated in the far corner of an undisclosed location, there was a dark forest where even the air had no sound. The only thing you would hear would be the rustling of the leaves and a demonic voice filled with pleasure that haunted every creature within the forest.

The voice originated from the deepest woods of the forest, which was said to be the ritual grounds of the ancient barbarian tribes.

At the heart of this cursed woodland stood a massive stone structure—the Temple of the Warrior Queen.

The temple rose from the earth like a monument to forgotten glory, its weathered steps leading up to an entrance carved with the faces of ancient warlords.

Towering pillars flanked both sides, each one adorned with skulls and the remnants of tribal totems that had long since decayed into grotesque forms.

Flames burned on the front two pillars of the many surrounding the ancient temple, their orange hue casting a dancing shadow on the withered stones.

Above the temple entrance, seated upon a throne of stone and bone, was a colossal statue of the Barbarian Queen herself.

She was depicted in all her terrible majesty—wild hair flowing like a mane, fierce eyes staring down at all who dared approach, and a massive Humongous Hammer-Axe clutched in her hand.

Her armor was carved with intricate detail, showing plates of hardened leather and fur decorated with the bones of her enemies.

From the gaps in her armor, her thick muscles were displayed as if they were exposed on purpose. A wild scar ran across her abdomen, marking her eight abs.

Even through the pants she wore, the thick muscles of her thighs appeared so defined and vivid. The power behind them seemed enough to easily crush a skull between them.

A crown of horns sat upon her head, marking her as the sovereign of savagery.

The statue seemed almost alive in the flickering firelight, as if the queen herself were watching, judging those who entered her domain.

But unlike the mere statue of the former Barbarian Queen, what made the scene more wild and unnerving were the people gathered around the temple.

Surrounding the temple in a wide circle stood hundreds of figures—barbarian warriors or what was left of them after centuries of war and survival.

The living ones were massive, muscular men and women clad in furs and leather armor.

Their bodies were covered in tribal tattoos and scars that told stories of countless battles. Each one held a weapon—great axes, war hammers, spiked clubs, and crude swords that had tasted more blood than water.

"How did an intruder enter the sacred grounds?"

Leading the Barbarians were three figures who stood in the front of the masses. It appeared that after a long passage of time, Barbarians had been divided into three tribes.

Each tribe had their own distinctness. One had a certain marking, the other had a certain outfit, and the last had their hair dyed red.

The one who had spoken first was the female leader of the tribe with a dragon pattern carved into her skin using paint. Her appearance and manner of speaking were both wild and rowdy.

"The Sacred grounds are the middle grounds of all tribes. This is an ancient pact. So better choose your words wisely." The Oldest among the three, the leader of the tribe with red hair, spoke coldly.

Despite his own imposing figure and expression, he seemed too calm and analytic for a barbarian.

The third leader, the youngest woman with minimalist clothing and a massive hammer in her hand, who was about to explode in anger, calmed down at his words and looked at the woman who spoke first and opened her mouth.

"—"

But before she could even utter a word, the voice that haunted even the barbarians returned from the depths of the temple.

"Ah~mmmm!!"

The face of the young woman turned the deepest shade of red. "H-h-how shameless! Who dares to sully the sanctity of our sacred grounds? What is even going in there?"

"You are still young and weak, so you might not be aware, but the sacred grounds are also trial grounds left by The First Barbarian Queen." The female leader of the dragon pattern tribe spoke with pride while looking down at the youngest tribe leader.

"You!" Her condescending attitude made the latter seethe in rage. Although she could handle being called the youngest leader, she did not like being called ’weak.’

But before she could lash out, the oldest of the three tribe leaders took control of the conversation to calm her down. "You see those two flaming pillars? They mean someone is undergoing the trial of the barbarian queen, and they had already passed the first level."

"Had it not been for this, we would have already marched in there and dragged whoever is making those inhumane noises."

The man turned to look at the female leader who spoke before and asked, "Grendara the Savage, what do you think about this situation?"

Grendara grunted at the meddling of the old man but nodded nonetheless. "Karak, the Untamed. "What you think is probably right. It is not one of the barbarians. We know all barbarians, and every one of us is present here."

"What does that mean?" Lyssa Fangborn, the youngest leader, also known as the clueless one, asked with visible frustration. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"It means that the one undergoing the trial is either a barbarian from the outside who we know nothing about or she is human."

"Indeed, only women can take the trial of our queen and..." Grendara, the female tribe leader, suddenly shivered after the pause as if she had recalled something unpleasant.

"It’s horrible. The trial is too much for even a barbarian." She claimed with fear trembling in her eyes.

"You are probably too weak. So you are making excuses." Lyssa finally got the chance to strike back at the woman; she took it without even noticing that every woman who appeared to be above a certain age group looked the same as her.

No one else was mocking her, like they knew what kind of horrors were hidden inside the temple.

"I sometimes envy your ignorance." Grendara did not seem angry but only chuckled coldly.

"Enough of this." Karak stepped forward and suggested it. "We shall stay here and wait for the trial to end. Based on the outcome of the trial, we will settle on how to handle whoever is inside—"

"Aaahn~!"

The voice came again, echoing through the temple entrance like a ghostly wail. It was feminine, filled with a strange mixture of pain and ecstasy that made the warriors tremble despite their trance-like state.

"Who can even make a sound like that when going through the trail? Are you sure they are not mating?" A clueless woman asked in a daze, still trembling from time to time.

"Haaah... more... MORE!"
