Rumble!

Noah's fingers snapped, and the ground beneath Amon's army shook violently. The vibration shook not just the earth but also the tall trees behind Amon; they wobbled before the weakest ones started to fall over the others.

A network of cracks snaked through the earth, bursting with a pulse of power. The distorted ground started to shift, forming pits and walls around Amon's creations, cutting their ranks into smaller, isolated clusters.

"This is… No!" Realization struck Amon a little too late. "Move, you dimwits!"

Rumble! Boom!

---

The sound of the earth splitting apart echoed in the whole forest as entire sections of ground rose and fell, creating several cavities and boulders between the Enhanced Spirit Humans.

Some were swallowed up in the new crevices, while others struggled to keep their footing, their grotesque limbs clawing for stability. Those who fell down in the craters could not even react before they were pierced by pointed rock spikes!

Each of these spikes was thicker than their own bodies, while some of the boulders on the surface were taller than three times their height.

For the first time, Amon's smug confidence wavered, his eyes narrowing at Noah. "What– No, when did you do it?!" he demanded, his voice dripping with rage.

"When do you think?" Noah replied calmly, his gaze unwavering. "Don't you think a little arrangement was in order? I figured your Enhanced Spirit Humans would perform better... separated."

High up on the wall, Shisan smirked with her hands crossed beneath her chest. "Took you long enough."

Noah rolled his eyes at her, not bothering to get into a squabble with the woman. "Don't waste any more time and finish as many as you can."

With her cue given, Shisan tightened her grip on her blades before turning to look at the army that was trying to get back in order.

The wind energy around her surged again, this time with an intensity that caused a shimmering green aura to ripple around her. The creatures were struggling, scrambling to climb over the newly formed walls to regroup.

"Second stance: Tempest's Divide!" Shisan's voice rang out, and with a swift movement, she unleashed her attack. Sharp, gusting winds howled forward, splitting into multiple streams that surprisingly only focused on a small number of Enhanced humans instead of aiming for as many as she could.

Amon's hands were clenched under his robes as he saw his creations being sliced apart, unable to withstand the onslaught in their disoriented, separated state.

Even though they had high regeneration abilities, these creatures were not able to overcome limb regeneration, not to mention survive when they were split apart in two pieces.

The once unified army was now a scattered mess, its eerie red glow flickering in scattered clusters across the battlefield.

"You dare!" Amon bellowed, but his voice was drowned out by the roar of the tempest winds. His creatures struggled to reform, but every time they attempted to regroup, another surge of earth or wind would intercept, disrupting their efforts.

Shisan disappeared once more and reappeared back on the wall, analyzing the outcome of her attacks. When she heard Amon's scream, she raised her head to look at the man with a smirk on her face.

"I have to say, these disgusting things of yours are indeed tougher than any cultivators in their realm," Shisan commented calmly, her eyes showing none of the emotions she was feeling deep inside. "But even with their enhancements, they cannot skip the chasm and use the capabilities of a core formation realm cultivator, let alone a golden core realm cultivator."

Hearing the enemy point out the shortcomings of his hard work and passion, Amon grew enraged, his fists clenched, his calm composure cracking. "You will regret this!" he growled, his voice carrying an edge of desperation.

But Shisan merely watched, her gaze turned cold and calculating. "On the contrary," she replied, her voice faded as her figure seemed to be enveloped by darkness. "I think we're just getting started."

*Woosh!*

Her body turned into the shade of darkness as she faded into the air. When she reappeared from the shadow of the boulder standing beside one of the Enhanced Spirit Humans, Shisan made her move.

Her eyes were colder than her blade, which moved without making a single sound and sliced through the tough surface of the creature's neck, decapitating it in the matter of a split second.

There was no hesitation or delay in her action. After killing one, she moved onto the next one, traveling through the shadows stretching all over throughout the battlefield.

Amon watched closely as Shisan started a one-sided massacre of his army, a cold glint flashing through his eyes. 'So what if you can lower their numbers, you are bound to get exhausted if you continue on like this.'

'Once she shows signs of exhaustion, make a move and end her life!' Amon ordered one of the captains kneeling by his side through sound transmission. The man in question accepted the task without any complaints.

The other captain, who had an expressionless look on his face, observed their exchange with curiosity. 'I hope the general doesn't make any idiotic decisions. Even though he is powerful, he has no army tactics. Even now, he is simply playing around instead of using his other creations, not to mention making a move himself.'

The man could not help but let out a sigh, knowing he had no say in front of a general, as he did not have the power to replace him. 'I should just silently follow the orders. Thank the lord, he isn't giving me any tasks for now.'

BOOM!

Back on the battlefield, the creatures tried to attack the spots Shisan kept appearing and disappearing from, but they were too slow to keep up with her speed.

Shisan was a seasoned assassin who had a lot of experience, allowing her to kill more than half of these creatures without taking any damage.

Even though she was working her way through the army, she kept an eye on Amon, not wanting to let anyone ambush her due to her lack of awareness.

'This is taking a lot of time. I cannot waste this much qi.' Shisan finally made a decision as she came to a stop. She looked at Noah and asked, 'Did I buy enough time?'
