Genetic Ascension-Chapter 1098: Aimed too High [Bonus]

Sylas gasped for breath, his body being forcefully ejected out.
He practically flew out, coughing up a mouthful of blood. As he did so, he and Nosphaleen were forcefully separated, and suddenly the heat of the world's core almost burnt him to ash in a single instant of time.
It was Nosphaleen that reacted quickly, rushing to him and hugging him tightly.
The world seemed to recognize Sylas as someone Nosphaleen wanted to protect, and it finally let down a bit of its guard. Then, it thought clearly enough to feel a closeness with Sylas, which, while not as strong as its closeness to Nosphaleen, was strong nonetheless.
'Did it… work?'
Sylas coughed again as Nosphaleen pulled him away from the core of the world, his mind still spinning.
He knew that something had been done, but he wasn't sure if this was exactly what he wanted just yet.
His hope was that his action would wipe out the Kaelthar of the Skai 11331 Galaxy. With one of his two competitors wiped out, he would just have to focus on dealing with Thalrik Dazeth. At that point, it would just be a matter of weaving around the troubles of the Trakar.
But Sylas could have never imagined that he had actually aimed too high.
The Sylphs were practically no more now, and the enemy of Earth had certainly been wiped out for the time being. But… let alone the Kaelthar of Skai 11331, the Main Clan Kaelthar was practically unscathed other than a slight fear-induced panic.
Sylas hadn't even stepped foot out of the Sector, but he was responsible for the death of an entire Demi-God Race of beings.
A Race with B and A-Grade elites was snapped out of existence just like that, and the one responsible was muddle-headed, hoping that a Race branch family with D-Grade elites at best had been the one to suffer instead.
If others knew the details of what happened here, their reactions would be hard to fathom. And maybe the Ancestors of the Myrrakhael that had poured so much blood, sweat, and tears into building their Clan up brick by brick wouldn't just roll in their graves, but resurrect just to kill themselves again.
Nosphaleen finally pulled Sylas out of the volcano, her breathing somewhat labored as well. It took effort to suppress her fear of Sylas' Charisma, but it was also clear that Sylas had taken on the brunt of the cognitive load between the two of them.
"Master, are you alright?" Nosphaleen asked, trying to prop up Sylas' head and eventually opting to rest it on her lap.
"I'm fine. My mind is just drained."
"But you…"
"Coughed up blood? That was just a bit of backlash from the World's core detecting our split. It's nothing too bad."
Sylas took another breath. "While I'm resting, help me find another vessel to use. I need to return to the Golden Grove to see what the situation is. Wait…"
After a moment, Sylas looked at the Madness Key. He subconsciously thought that the Madness Key could only inform him about things of the past, but was that the case?
When he needed to know about the jade that now held the Obelisks that were key to his Race upgrade, it had been able to analyze the immediate situation to tell him what it was. So who was to say it couldn't do that on a larger scale?
"Can you tell me if my plan to wipe out the Kaelthar family of this galaxy worked?" Sylas asked.
—
[Can you tell me if my plan to wipe out the Kaelthar family of this galaxy worked?]
[The Kaelthar are unharmed]
—
Sylas' eyes narrowed when he heard this. He was sure that something had happened. What then—?
—
[The Demi-God Myrrakhael Clan have been wiped from existence instead]
—
Hm? It clarified all on its own…
Sylas' heart skipped a beat. He didn't know much about the Thryskai as a whole, but he remembered the divisions between them.
In truth, that information alone was quite important. Not many knew just how deep the Thryskai Race went or how powerful they could become. In many ways, Sylas had been uninformed in the past. But in the most unique of ways, he knew far more than others could fathom.
But right now, Sylas couldn't think about that. Wasn't he screwed now? The target he had aimed for was much too large, but he also hadn't managed to deal with his main target either.
'No. There's something to take advantage of here for sure.'
Sylas slowly pushed himself up.
"Go and capture the strongest beasts you can for me instead, Nosphaleen. I need to eat. And a lot."
"Yes, Master!" Nosphaleen scurried off, her long tail whipping as her wings spread far and wide. Soon, she was nothing more than a dot in the far-off distance.
—
[What does this mean for the universe?]
[The void left by a Demi-God Clan is wide. The most obvious effect, though, is that there is now a gap left in the Thryskai's Karma. As such, it can now promote one of its Mortal Clans to Demi-God status and this will certainly lead to a clash.
There is also a chance that the God Clans will try to investigate what happened, but the actions of the system this time have certainly reset expectations a great deal. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
The strongest Races of the universe will react one of two ways. They will either use this as a chance to suppress the Thryskai, or take actions against the system as a single unit.]
—
That was when a realization became obvious to Sylas… not everyone feared the system to a great extent.
At the very least, there were some existences that could work together against it.
What was most intriguing, though, was the concept of Karma and a void that could be filled by a Mortal Clan. In that case, did it mean that a lesser branch Clan could also rise to become a Main Mortal Clan as well?
Sylas knew that this time he had failed, but that didn't change the facts.
He still only had a week and a half to figure out how to clear this Quest.
And while he was trying to deal with a problem that was on an impossibly small scale for those he had just wiped out, countless great minds were coming together to discuss what had just happened.
All except for a few, though…

"The Myrrakhael are gone…" a deep voice resounded.
"It seems… they've taken the fall for us this time."
"There's the obvious question left, though."
"How did the system find out?"
