Game's Extra: Starting With SSS-Ranked 1000-Death Talent-Chapter 74: Just Swallow (The Lie)
The words Arnold uttered caused quite a stir amongst the students.
Yet the noise quickly subsided when the teacher walked out of the gym.
Everyone followed him.
The Chamber Room for the First Abyss was located on the first floor.
Noa strolled with them, holding his breath.
"Are you nervous? Or is it just me?" Martha asked as she walked beside him.
Ezra, Rika, and Arthur were with him as well, completing the team.
"As long as you aren’t scared," Arthur answered, trailing his words with a hint of irony.
It was somewhat unusual for him to speak this way.
Yet, no one said a thing.
"That’s the problem," Martha added, and showed how her hand was shaking. "I am scared as well."
Rika patted her back.
"It’s okay to feel that way. Even I am trembling inside," she said, trying to lift the girl’s mood.
Meanwhile, they covered the distance and reached the destination.
"Before we enter, I want you guys to be in perfect condition. So I asked the academy staff to provide stamina recovery potions for you to drink," Arnold explained, showing the rows of flasks next to the wooden door.
"Wow!"
"How generous."
"Now I feel more confident."
Students exclaimed and received their shares.
Noa also took the flask.
However, instead of chugging it down like everyone else, he warned his teammates, almost whispering.
"Don’t drink it. Trust me."

Inspection showed nothing, but the game showed otherwise.
Arthur already knew what to do, hiding the full flask in his bag.
Seeing that both of them refused to drink the potion, the rest of the team followed their example.
"Why?" Ezra mumbled silently.
"Just believe me. I can’t explain right now," Noa answered, his expression unmoving.
In the meantime, Arnold distributed the teams inside the chambers.
When it was Noa’s turn, he tagged along with others, letting the mana flow deep inside his body.
Nothing extraordinary had happened.
It just transported an entire class to the First Abyss.
"We are back."
"Damn, I definitely didn’t miss this place."
"Why? Don’t you like how sexy the goblins look?"
"Go away, you weirdo."
The same labyrinth, the same high ceiling, and memorable walls were filled with restless chatter.
Noa shared the same feelings.
However, it came from knowing Arnold and his scheme to hurt his students.
Nevertheless, he crossed the gate for training purposes.
And even though the monsters he encountered would barely increase his EXP bar, Noa wanted to at least see how others his age handled them.
Abnormalities like Arthur, he, and the cute girl he saw the other day didn’t count.
"It looks less scary now that we’re here," Martha said.
"Let’s wait for that guy to arrive," Noa said about Arnold and his clones.
Sure enough, two minutes later, twenty Arnolds emerged from the gate, their movements similar to one another.
He quickly divided the class into small groups and told them to move separately.
"Where are we going?" Ezra asked the teacher, following him behind.
"We don’t have a specific objective or kill target. This first class is all about me assessing each team and identifying their survival flaws," the man explained.
A brief silence was interrupted by a loud shriek.
"It’s Aarakocra," Rika recognized from the sound.
"Good," Arnold noted. "It’s important to know your opponent. Their weaknesses, strengths, and attack patterns."
The group walked in that direction.
Noa was at the front, leading each step with calculated precision.
As for the rear, Arnold took on the role of guardian and defender.
"They are close," Noa called out. "Get ready."
Peeking out of the corner, he saw three Aarakocras eating a goblin’s corpse.

They were tall, eagle-headed creatures with two long legs and a short scepter in their hands.
Still, the scene of them devouring a single goblin in quick chugs was quite a bloody mess.
"Now you need to attack them. If you do it before they are done feasting, you will get an advantage," Arnold instructed.
Noa didn’t try to hide his displeasure.
"Be quiet," he scolded the teacher and shushed him.
Then he pointed at Arthur and Ezra, the quickest ones in the group, and gave them a signal to dash with him.
He purposely selected Arthur.
The protagonist and his obsession with remaining as an extra in the public eye were something Noa wanted to correct.
No matter the consequences for the boy, he wanted to screw him over.
And forcing him to reveal his strength was part of the process.
As for Arthur, he glared at Noa.
He wanted to argue, but swallowed his dissatisfaction.
Seeing how tame he was, Noa smirked and embraced the small victory.
Then he signaled once again, taking the first step.
His speed was impressive, and cutting through the air, he reached the first monster, Ezra and Arthur beside him.
Noa swung his already drowned sword, its increased attributes penetrating the toughness of the skin.

There was enough time for him to attack the second and third monster. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
However, Noa stood still, allowing the boys to finish the job.
Arthur was almost as fast, beheading the eagle-like creature in a single sweep of his blade.
Ezra hacked his fists and killed the last beast by hitting it thrice.
A resounding clap was heard behind them.
Arnold left the corner.
"Good job," he said loudly.
The girls joined the boys as well, showing them a thumbs-up.
Differing from the teacher, they moved quietly and didn’t make as much noise.
"I told you to zip it," Noa said to Arnold, bearing the sword. "Either you stay silent and act like the dog shit teacher you are, or I am going to cut your ass down."
Contrary to the words he used, Noa seemed calm.
He didn’t raise his voice, nor did he look angry.
But his teammates glanced at him with surprise, but didn’t oppose him.
Deep down, they also disliked the way Arnold handled the situation and put them at risk.
Yet the man laughed softly and said,
