Game World's Awakening-Chapter 205: Unexpected attack
It will be edited soon.

While these two were in their own world, the battle around the Clarks had unfolded. The presence of the Ann Family forces alongside the Angelic Wave envoys meant that those currently in the Clark Family were completely defenseless.
Communication networks had been completely cut off. There was no internet, no electricity. Everything was dark, and the pouring rain matched this perfectly, as if the heavens had agreed.
The Clark Family was finished, and as proof of this, there were several weapons judging them.
A dark and terribly dangerous sword, built with dark energy, pierced several of their most powerful members, who were trying to save Alexander.
Two more swords, strangely powerful, more than they expected, were also killing them.
Finally, there was a hammer wreaking havoc on Roy's body and that of the leader of one of the local guilds, who had been caught completely off guard.
Roy was old, though strong in magic, but very weak overall, so his body was repeatedly beaten until it was reduced to pulp.
For the first time, Andrew had completed more than 20 consecutive blows with his hammer.
Just then, a person ran by and approached Elliot.
"Young Master, the troops from the capital are on their way. It's best to finish this quickly," he said, before continuing to run toward his other allies. He was a member of the Ann Family who was in charge of carrying information in the midst of riots of this kind.
Elliot frowned when he realized that this bastard Alexander wasn't going to give him the information he needed.
"Your time is up, bastard. Since you refuse to tell me where that old wreck is, then go join your youngest son, and don't forget that it was me who sent you both to the same place." His sword was extremely fast and broke his neck in an instant.
A device jumped from Alexander's body toward him, immediately attracting his attention. He grabbed it curiously, but didn't have time to check what it was; he had to put it away because something happened.
The downpour seemed to become several times more powerful. What was falling no longer looked like raindrops, but rather jets of water that could knock anyone down.
Elliot was stunned, and suddenly...
THUNDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER*
The explosion of an astonishingly powerful thunderclap, followed by countless more, echoed above him.
Out of pure instinct, he looked up and saw lightning approaching him.
He jumped to the side.
BOOM*
Just in time.
The lightning struck Alexander's body and vaporized him in seconds.
At the same time, several other bolts of lightning struck him, forcing Elliot to jump back several times to dodge them.
"ELLIOT!"
"ELLIOT!"
Andrew and Jenna's voices came from behind him, alerting him to what was happening.
Elliot frowned and looked up.
"Is the wrath of the heavens falling on the Clark family? Is it the curse?" he thought, in shock.
Due to his carelessness, he misstepped and his ankle twisted. It shouldn't have been serious, but lightning was about to strike right where he had stepped, and he couldn't jump out of the way in time.
Jenna and Andrew jumped toward him, wanting to protect him.
Jenna managed to draw her most powerful sword and position it directly above him, drawing all the damage toward the sword and buying enough milliseconds to push him backward.
As she breathed a sigh of relief, Andrew's hammer came down...
Attacking Elliot?
Jenna was alarmed, as was Elliot, and they stared at Andrew in shock.
But the hammer swung wide and struck just behind him.
CLANK*
The hammer struck the hooves of a hideous beast that had attacked from behind. A beast in the city?
Yes.
But not just any beast.
It was an Awakened transformed into a beast.
Andrew was no fool. He knew this bastard's identity, so he quickly shouted.
"Damn it, what the hell do you think you're doing, Chris?!" he roared, seeing that Chris was inches away from stabbing Elliot in the back.
"You better not get involved, little hammer master," Rich taunted as he attacked him from behind.
Andrew hadn't noticed his presence, so he felt pain after being stabbed in the side.
Despite acting late, he was extremely quick to move his hammer just to the side to hit Rich.
"Elliot, these bastards are traitors!" he roared.
Elliot was in shock, staring at them.
Had he been betrayed?
Once again?
His body tensed the moment he saw Andrew being stabbed. He thought about acting, but his body took a while to react, perhaps because accepting betrayal was difficult to do. At that moment, the corner of his eye saw that beast resembling Chris appear, but strangely horrifying.
Nails longer and curved than a rat's were used as weapons, while his entire chest was protected by a thick coat of hair and his head was that of a lion, a strange lion. He had two feet, even though he appeared to be a griffin.
This wasn't a race.
It was a skill.
Entering from the periphery, he didn't plan to attack him directly.
He attacked the woman beside him, who was also trying to understand what was happening.
Even though Elliot was stunned, he couldn't stand it when he saw someone trying to attack his woman.
He didn't care if it was Chris, someone he had considered a friend. No one was allowed to touch her!
So he suddenly jumped to the side and attacked him ferociously, using his most powerful sword. He didn't seek to kill him, because he needed explanations. He wanted to hit him in the chest and send him flying.
With his speed and the power of his sword, that was easy.
But then he realized his mistake.
Chris moved at an extreme speed that he couldn't match, and the "Master" mask was shattered.
The energy of an awakened Professional Player Rank unleashed itself on the spot and exploded in front of Elliot, passing him by as it struck him in the neck.
It wanted to kill him immediately, but Elliot managed to bring his sword forward and only sparks flew from the clash.
"So fast?" Elliot immediately turned to attack him, but Chris was already facing Jenna, several steps away.
His huge claws dodged Jenna's attacks, breaking through her defense and striking her viciously in the stomach and chest.
The pain overwhelmed her, although she managed to dodge the last attack aimed at her neck by teleporting through the shadows.
Even so, she fell to the ground in front of Elliot. She had dodged one attack, but the rest had penetrated her completely. Her stomach was completely shattered and part of her organs destroyed.
Part of her chest had a huge wound, where her heart was visible, with a wound in the middle.
She fell completely unconscious to the ground. Her life or death was a mystery.
