Chapter 80: Chapter 80: As Long as You Don’t Stop

"[Sunlight Spear]?"

Reiya looked at Westheid, puzzled.

"It’s the Dragon Thunder in your hand! Throw it! If you can gather it once, you can gather more Pure Dragon Thunder! Don’t worry about the cost. Whatever you lack, just plunder it from the enemy!"

The Silver-haired Dragon Lady nodded in understanding. She didn’t doubt or hesitate at Westheid’s words for a second. If West said she could do it, then she damn well could!

’Is this even something I need to think about?!’

So, Reiya took a deep breath, charged it for a moment, then hurled it, striking Scorching Wings squarely in the back.

BOOM—

It arrived in an instant with the roar of a heavy cannon, exploding against the Dragon’s body, which was as vast as a Great Obsidian Mountain.

All of the Legendary True Dragon’s Armor seemed pale and weak before the effect of "Eightfold True Damage Critical Strike." One of its wings, already damaged by Solren, began to break off at the root as the brilliant gold Dragon Thunder ravaged its body.

The heart-rending agony caused Scorching Wings to let out a deafening roar, one so loud it nearly burst Westheid’s eardrums.

Losing its balance in the air, the Giant Dragon inevitably plummeted sideways. However, any Legendary Powerhouse possessed an Anti-Gravity Realm, and Scorching Wings immediately stabilized itself.

But without a wing, maintaining flight would now come at a significant extra cost.

After hurling the Thunder Sword Spear in her hand, Reiya raised her hand again, focusing on reclaiming the spoils plundered from Scorching Wings. Then, using those spoils... she gathered them!

A Majestic Thunder Spear formed in her palm. Reiya simply coalesced it and hurled it out.

WHOOSH—

The Light Arrow traced an ethereal arc toward Scorching Wings. This time, however, the prepared Legendary Giant Dragon wasn’t hit directly. Instead, it desperately used [Dragon Language Chanting] to cast a dazzling array of Magic spells.

Deflection, cushioning, illusions, teleportation... Scorching Wings had a hundred ways to mitigate the damage from the Pure Dragon Thunder.

’Why is this stat-block Monster so flashy?!’

Seeing this, Westheid said, "Legendary Dragon Species are never that easy to deal with... But no matter!"

"Reiya! Get me on the Dragon’s back! I’ll distract Scorching Wings; you just focus on attacking!"

"Okay."

Reiya didn’t say a single word of worry. She grabbed Westheid, beat her Light Wings to accelerate, and instantly shot above Scorching Wings.

Westheid dropped down, grabbing onto a Dragon Scale of Scorching Wings. He then steadied himself in the windstorm, raised his Silver Sword, and began hacking away wildly.

Compared to the threat Reiya posed, Westheid, who could only draw blood from its flesh, was hardly a concern. But not even a Legendary True Dragon could ignore the wounds a Silver Sword inflicted on a "Monster."

It wasn’t lethal, but it was incredibly aggravating. The chilling pain from the Silver Sword made it impossible for Scorching Wings to focus on its Dragon Language Magic chanting.

Scorching Wings snorted. It had seen its fair share of such "Dragon Slayer Warriors" who boarded it directly, most commonly during its wars with the Celestial Vault Kingdom.

After their fighters were shot down, soldiers from the Celestial Vault Kingdom would pounce onto a Giant Dragon’s body with their Single-Molecule Combat Blades and Thermite Guns to carry out suicide attacks.

Scorching Wings’ countermeasure for this was simple and effective.

BOOM—

From the crevices between its jet-black Dragon Scales, crimson flames surged, engulfing the area where Westheid was in the blink of an eye.

"West!"

Reiya finally began to panic. She had personally experienced how tyrannical Scorching Wings’s Dragon Flame was. Even with the damage reduction from her Dragon Blood, she had been burned so badly she could barely control herself. How could a pure-blooded human possibly withstand it?

However, Westheid, enveloped in flames, didn’t lose his ability to fight and fall from the Dragon’s back. Instead, he swung his Silver Sword even more frantically, stabbing and carving into Scorching Wings’s back.

Westheid laughed wildly amidst the searing winds:

"Haha, hahahaha!!"

"It hurts so damn much! It feels so damn good!"

Even as the Dragon Flame incinerated his body, Westheid felt little pain. On the contrary, he found it incredibly invigorating.

Mivana’s essence blood had numbed all his pain receptors, leaving only an ever-expanding lust for slaughter in his veins. And this desire... was enough to let him withstand the Dragon Flame and unleash his bloodthirsty instincts upon the Dragon’s body.

As long as he could still fight, he could fucking defy all pain! Dominate it!

’Truly a Tier T0 Talent born for battle and slaughter. Not something a growth-type Talent like [Withered Glory Sun] can even compare to.’

’And this is just from borrowing one of its derivative traits. If Westheid could truly share the [Heaven-Devouring Wave] Talent...’ 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

’How much more powerful would that be? How much more tyrannical?!’

Westheid looked up at Reiya and shouted:

"Don’t stop! This time, you attack! I’ll defend!"

Seeing that Westheid could apparently withstand the baptism of Dragon Flame, Reiya stopped worrying and continued to form Pure Dragon Thunder Spears to blast the Legendary Giant Dragon with pinpoint accuracy.

After that, Scorching Wings could no longer weave its intricate Dragon Language Magic to evade her attacks. The wounds Westheid continuously inflicted on it were gushing blood to an exaggerated, unnatural degree.

This made it difficult for the Giant Dragon to concentrate. When Scorching Wings tried to heal these wounds, an expression of astonishment appeared on its face.

’Why won’t this bleeding stop?!’

’And this damn human ant, how is he not burned to a crisp yet?!’

If Westheid could hear Scorching Wings’s thoughts, he would surely have taunted it.

’A mere Legendary True Dragon dares to compare its priority to the Tier T0 [Cursed Source Blood]?!’

The bleeding wounds caused by [Blood Fury] could not be blocked by any means; the only way was to wait for them to heal naturally. Meanwhile, the damage dealt by the bleeding was also calculated into [Bloodthirst], allowing Westheid to regenerate continuously.

As he gouged out more and more holes, his regeneration rate became terrifying, reaching a point where he was unkillable as long as he wasn’t one-shotted.

’As long as I don’t stop, the path will continue to extend!’

With Westheid’s powerful support, Reiya could aim at Scorching Wings with her eyes closed.

She hurled one brilliant gold spear of Pure Dragon Thunder after another, which exploded, pierced, and tore through the Legendary True Dragon’s body.

"You... how dare you do this to me! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you! I’ll burn you all to ash!"

Even with its colossal size, Scorching Wings couldn’t withstand the successive strikes of Dragon Thunder. Its movements, which had once allowed it to effortlessly toy with Reiya’s positioning, were now in complete disarray. Even its astonishingly intelligent draconic mind was turning to mush from the pain and fear.

The Legendary True Dragon kept climbing toward the clouds, breaking one sound barrier after another. It let out a hoarse, crazed howl, extending a claw toward the clouds, wanting to unleash another unrestrained [Celestial Fire Falls].

But Reiya wasn’t going to give it that chance.

BOOM—

A thunderclap erupted, and a ring of white vapor appeared in the air. But even before the sound registered, the Silver-haired Dragon Lady had already vanished, reappearing in front of Scorching Wings once more.

She swung her spear down.
