Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!-Chapter 130: A Lot of Obsidian Wraith Bosses, Escaping the Shrine
Soon, George and the others passed through the passage. The view opened up in front of them.
But it wasn’t the usual plain. It was a desert.
In the distance, a group of Obsidian Wraiths wandered around. Just as George had guessed, their level had gone up to 60.
"Can we handle them?" George wasn’t sure. He looked at Constantine and the others for answers.
"No problem."
Constantine got excited. He quickly grew bigger. Before George even said anything, he charged forward.
Eliex, the Golden Flame Dragon, and Melina weren’t holding back either. They launched their attacks.
Magic flew. Dragon flames roared.
But these Obsidian Wraiths were much stronger than those in the third layer. Only with teamwork could they kill one quickly.
George watched the battle and felt relieved. He stayed behind Elise and Lilia as they cleaned up the battlefield.
The drops from the Obsidian Wraiths were still Obsidian Shards.
George’s bag was already full of over four thousand Obsidian Shards. These were S-tier materials, and they could be used to make weapons and armor. He planned to give them all to Eliex.
"Master, I feel a strong presence," Elise said, her face serious. She looked toward the distance.
There, a huge Obsidian Wraith appeared. It was as big as a mountain, matching Constantine in size. Its body was black and shiny, like metal.
[Obsidian Wraith Boss
Level: 60
Stage: SSS Tier
HP: 50,000,000]
It was an SSS-tier boss!
George was shocked. SSS-tier bosses were rare and powerful. He had only met about four or five so far. He didn’t expect to find one in the Obsidian Wraiths.
"Roar!"
The boss let out a furious roar. It locked onto the strongest one—Constantine—and rushed forward.
"Come on!"
Constantine was excited, no fear in his eyes. He rushed forward as well.
Boom boom...
Two huge monsters fought, hitting each other with loud noises. They fought up close, no holding back.
Constantine was forced to back up. He was only level 50, and this Obsidian Wraith was still much stronger.
George quickly ordered, "Forget the other Wraiths for now. Take down this boss first."
He activated the battle will skill from the Jason General Medal. His team’s strength jumped by 30%.
"Master, I’ll help too," Elise said. She knew how strong the boss was, so she acted quickly.
George had Lilia to protect him, so he was safe.
Constantine and the others drank Amplification Potions. With the battle will, they barely managed to hold the boss back.
"Roar!"
The boss kept roaring. Its attacks were still big and powerful. Only Constantine and the Golden Flame Dragon could stand up to it directly.
"Doesn’t this guy have any skills?" George wondered. He noticed that these Obsidian Wraiths never used any skills. They just fought with their bodies.
Lilia frowned. "Master, I’ve never heard of this kind of monster. It doesn’t seem to belong to any race."
A new race?
George thought back to the Felborn he had met in the Underworld Shrine. They had also never appeared before, but Lilia and the others knew of them.
But the Obsidian Wraiths were completely new.
They dropped Crafted Relics. Maybe Eliex knew something.
George looked at Eliex, who was floating in the air, casting holy magic. He decided to ask after the battle.
The Obsidian Wraith Boss was strong, but its attacks were simple. With the team’s attacks, its HP kept dropping. Its death was only a matter of time.
George felt relieved and flew up into the air, avoiding the wandering Obsidian Wraiths and watching the battle closely.
It took a whole half hour before the Obsidian Wraith boss ran out of HP and was finally killed.

[Dropped: Crafted Relic x8]
The message flashed.
Sure enough, the boss in the fourth layer dropped eight Crafted Relics. George now had 14 Crafted Relics, far more than he had expected.
"Master, there’s another passage. Should we explore it?" Elise stood on a sand dune, pointing to a dark underground tunnel in front of her.
She had also noticed the pattern of the Obsidian Wraiths here. The next layer’s Obsidian Wraiths should be level 65. They could handle the regular monsters, but if there was an SSS-tier boss, they might not be able to fight it.
"Who cares? Let’s check it out first," Constantine didn’t even know what fear was.
"Not so fast. Let’s finish the Obsidian Wraiths here first," George said, stopping them.
The group worked together to kill the boss, and there were still a lot of regular Obsidian Wraiths left. The regular ones dropped Obsidian Shards, and George didn’t want to miss them.
Killing these 60-level regular Obsidian Wraiths was no problem at all.
The open desert was filled with loud explosions. Magic flew, and one by one, the Obsidian Wraiths were killed.

[Dropped: Obsidian Shard x23]
...
The messages kept coming. Soon, all the remaining Obsidian Wraiths were wiped out.
George stood in front of the passage leading to the fifth layer of the Obsidian Shrine. He hesitated whether to go in.
If the fifth layer was a 65-level Obsidian Wraith boss, they wouldn’t be able to fight it.
"Your Majesty, let’s go in first. Maybe the next boss is still 60-level. Even if it’s 65, we can still retreat if needed," Constantine said, not wanting to give up.
George thought for a moment and nodded. He didn’t want to give up like this.
"I’ll go ahead," Constantine said excitedly and immediately shrank in size, rushing into the deep passage first.
Compared to the previous ones, this passage was even deeper. They walked for more than ten minutes before they finally saw some light in the distance.
Constantine sped up and reached the exit. He saw the sky full of yellow sand, howling and blocking the view. Visibility was less than twenty meters.
"Master, there are a lot of strong presences here," Elise said, her face serious.
"How strong?" George asked, curious. If it was just regular 65-level Obsidian Wraiths, she wouldn’t be so worried. Maybe it was 70-level?
Elise sensed for a moment and said, "Just like the bosses in the previous layers, there are also weak Obsidian Wraiths. They should be 45-level bosses."
45-level Obsidian Wraith bosses? That should be the first layer’s boss.
"Wait," George realized and asked in surprise, "Do you mean there are only Obsidian Wraith bosses here? How many are there?"
Elise said, "At least three or four hundred. I can’t feel the ones deep in the sand."
George took a deep breath. So many Obsidian Wraith bosses were all Crafted Relics.
"Let’s go, be careful. If we meet a boss over 60-level, we run immediately," he couldn’t resist the temptation and, following Constantine, stepped into the sand.
Roar roar! 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
As soon as they left the passage, a series of angry roars came from the distance. In the flying sand, huge black monsters appeared.
A 45-level Obsidian Wraith boss, stage at SSR tier.
It wasn’t very strong, but there were way too many of them — over a hundred.
"Master, you should get up in the air. Lilia, you protect the master," Elise quickly warned.
"Okay." George nodded and flew up with Lilia. The strong wind made them wobble, especially with sand and rocks flying in the air, stinging their faces.
Below, the sound of battle came in waves.
Constantine and the others were already fighting the Obsidian Wraiths. George couldn’t see the details, but he kept getting messages.
[Killed 45-level Obsidian Wraith Boss, Experience + 170,000]
[Dropped: Crafted Relic x1]
...
In just a short time, George had already gotten thirteen Crafted Relics.
But before he could even feel happy, loud roars came from deep in the sand. More Obsidian Wraiths were coming.
"Your Majesty, a lot of 55-level Obsidian Wraith bosses are coming. We can’t fight them," Melina said in a panicked voice.
She and Constantine and the Golden Flame Dragon were in the front. They were hit and thrown back in an instant, almost getting hurt badly.
"Fall back. Remember to collect the Crafted Relics you dropped," George ordered right away, and he and Lilia flew back into the passage.
"Damn it, if there wasn’t all this sand, I wouldn’t be afraid of you!" Constantine shouted in anger.
"Don’t make excuses. Even without the sand, you still wouldn’t be a match for them," Eliex said coldly.
Constantine growled but didn’t argue. He quickly picked up the dropped Crafted Relics and led the others back into the passage.
Boom boom...
The sound of explosions came from outside. Two Obsidian Wraith bosses were stuck at the entrance, slamming the door in anger.
Rocks fell from above.
"Looks like I’ll have to come back here again," George said, watching the dark shadows moving in the sand. So many Crafted Relics — he couldn’t just leave.
He didn’t care about leveling up right now. If he could bring Constantine and the others up to level 60, their strength would increase a lot. As long as they didn’t face a group of 60-level Obsidian Wraith bosses, they could handle it.
"Constantine, take them back to the Abyss Shrine first," George said, pulling out the shrine pass.
He guessed Ares and the others were still guarding the entrance. Constantine and the others couldn’t be seen yet.
"Okay, Master, you be careful."
Constantine looked at the Obsidian Wraith bosses outside, feeling regret. He opened a portal and took Elise and the others away.
George didn’t hesitate. He immediately activated the shrine pass and escaped.
Wooosh!
The space vibrated. The scenery changed. In a second, George was back in the forest.
"Hey kid, how’d it go?" Ares rushed over, worried.
"Nothing happened." George shook his head.
"Little one, how many Crafted Relics did you get this time?" Orion smiled and walked over.
"Few?" George looked disappointed. "None. Those Obsidian Wraiths were too strong. I barely managed to kill a few, then found the second-layer boss — level 50, stage SSR. I almost got killed, but I ran before it could finish me."
"Hmm, as long as you’re safe, that’s good," Orion said, comforting him. He didn’t think George was lying. Adventurers couldn’t beat a boss of the same level.
