Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 185: Apex Predators
[Ragon City - Duke’s Mansion]
The air in the hall was thick with the copper stench of blood and the oppressive weight of dark energy. The ritual catalyst had been secured, the Duke and his daughter slaughtered like mere cattle.
"What next? Should we leave Regon city?" The second asked, his featureless, shadowy face turning toward the First Lord. With a flick of his wrist, he opened his spatial storage—a high-tier dimensional pocket—and seamlessly stored the still-warm Heart inside.
The First Lord lounged on the blood-splattered couch, her glowing red eyes narrowing as she tapped into the ambient energy network. "No... Someone is coming, and with the energy signature I am sensing in the void, it’s Lord Hayatobi." She said, turning her head gracefully to the entrance of the dimmed, ruined hall. Her senses were sharp enough to detect the micro-tears in the fabric of space before they fully manifested.
The next moment, the space cracked opened like fragile glass. A blinding flash of Imperial teleportation magic illuminated the macabre scene, and Mirabella, Hayatobi and Delphine appeared right in front of the gruesome mess.
"...?!!"
"This?"
The three were stunned, their eyes struggling to process the sheer volume of blood and the mutilated corpses littering the extravagant room.
"So it’s you two!" Hayatobi stepped forward immediately, his aura exploding outward to shield the two girls behind him. He stood in front of them, his posture rigid. His silver eyes glowed brightly, activating his ultimate skill, and split into five different colors, red, silver, blue, black, and green for each eye. Each color represented a different elemental and spiritual wavelength he was actively tracking.
"Oh my, Lord Hayatobi, you have maxed out your soul eyes... I am so scared." The first Lord said, trembling in fake fear, her voice dripping with venomous sarcasm. She clearly wasn’t intimidated by a max-level skill.
’This is crazy!! How can these two monsters be here?!!’ Mirabella thought, cold sweat suddenly appearing on her face. Her past-life knowledge kicked in, warning her of the insurmountable power gap. Even she knew the strength of these two. The Lord tenth she fought against isn’t even in these two leagues. These were the absolute apex predators of the Devil Cult.
Hayatobi’s five-colored gaze locked onto the Second Lord. "I see you are still alive, Sagittarius Azul! The one who single-handedly massacre the whole Azul clan!!" The revelation hung heavily in the air, a dark piece of Imperial history brought to light.
"Sagittarius Azul!! You mean Hitachi’s Uncle?!" Delphine asked in absolute shock, her mind reeling at the fact that the Hitachi shared blood with this shadowy abomination.
"Oh... Hayatobi, you still remember, how nice of you." The second Lord muttered with a dark, twisted smirk, his voice vibrating with suppressed malice.
The First Lord’s red eyes drifted past the God General, locking onto the two girls with predatory hunger. "Two beauties... So lovely."
Everyone turned their heads to the woman sitting on the couch. The sheer density of her energy felt unnatural, almost as if her core was powered by the dark resonance of compressed Villain crystals, distorting the very reality around her.
"Both of you, slowly retreat back." Hayatobi whispered to the two. His tone was dead serious. Even with his immense strength, he doesn’t have the confident to fight any of these two without destroying the whole city, let alone fighting them together. The collateral damage would be apocalyptic.
But Mirabella’s regressor instincts, fueled by adrenaline and arrogance, screamed at her to strike while the enemy was seated.
"Leave her to me!!!"
BOOM!!
The marble floor shattered beneath her boots as Mirabella shot forward. Her legendary weapon, Sunder, appearing in her hand in a flash of light, as she appeared instantaneously in front of the first Lord:
"I will kill you!!" She yelled, tapping into her agility, and damage multipliers, and swung her blade with everything she had, aiming a decapitating strike right for her neck.
"No!! Mirabella, wait!" Hayatobi yelled in shock, recognizing the trap instantly.
"Oh, how cute." The first smiled, her red eyes tracking the supersonic blade heading towards her with effortless ease.
’With all my attack stats, I don’t believe I can’t kill you with one move!!! Today!! I will settle everything!!!’ Mirabella screamed Inwardly, pushing her system parameters to their absolute maximum. But the next moment, the world seemed to glitch.
{Warning!!}
{Buffs and skills have been completely blocked.}
"Huh?"
The system interface flashed an aggressive, bloody red.
BOOOOOOM!!!!
Her attack smashed down, sending a devastating cloud of wind all over the place, shattering every other furniture around into splinters. The kinetic force was immense, but Mirabella blinked, staring through the dust at the first lord before her, who effortlessly caught her heavy sword with just two fingers, a chilling smirk on her face.
"I love strong girls." She licked her lips, her red eyes glowing brighter as her finger tightened on the blade, the metal groaning under the pressure.
’What is this??? I can’t move my body, even my guardians can’t move!!!’ Mirabella thought in pure, unadulterated horror. The First Lord’s aura wasn’t just physical; it had forcibly disconnected Mirabella from all spirit energy, paralyzing her completely. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Mirabella!!"
Refusing to let her die, Hayatobi stretched his hand out, grabbing Mirabella with his vast telekinetic spirit energy, and pulled her back with enough force to rip her from the First Lord’s gravitational pull. While the first Lord casually released the blade, letting her go like a bored cat releasing a mouse.
Hayatobi caught Mirabella, stabilizing her feet on the ground, while staring at the first Lord in shock: ’Mirabella is strong, but before this first Lord, even the Demon king and I will be cautious... What is she thinking?’ He thought, lowering his gaze to Mirabella, whose back was resting heavily on his chest, her breathing ragged.
"Thanks." Mirabella muttered, forcing herself standing upright. She raised her sword, her hands shaking, staring at the blade where the first Lord caught, seeing terrifying, jagged cracks on the indestructible metal.
’This? She is also a Lv500, but why is she stronger than ten realm Bosses combined?’ She thought in shock, her knowledge failing to compute the power-scaling discrepancy. Desperate for answers, she brought up the system profile on the First Lord, but what she saw next stunned her into silence.
{Error in getting target’s profile.}
’Shit!!! In my pass life, there are countless people I didn’t meet in a battle, one is this lady before me!’ The realization that her future knowledge was incomplete hit her harder than any physical blow.
As she stepped back out of the First Lord’s immediate domain, the interface flickered back to blue.
{Buffs and skills are back online.}
’She has the power to even block the system buffs and multiplier... She is a very dangerous enemy.’
From the moment she was reborn, this was the first time Mirabella have felt true, paralyzing fear. Even with all her accumulated stats, legendary items, and copied skills, she wasn’t remotely in their league.
"Mirabella... The first Lord has a very special power, it can neutralize any buff, as long you aren’t a Lv500, you are powerless before her." Hayatobi whispered grimly, his five-colored gaze not leaving the two people before him, ready to teleport them away if the Cultists made a hostile move.
"Oh well, that was fun!"
The first Lord jumped gracefully to her feet, a bright, psychotic smile on her face: "You must be Mirabella... I like you already." She looked up at the towering God General:
"Taking you now won’t be easy, due to this old man who still looks like he is in his 50s." She said, gesturing dismissively to Hayatobi, fully aware that a clash between Lv500s would result in mutual destruction or severe injuries neither side wanted yet.
"Anyway, I believe we will meet again... By then, I hope you have gotten stronger." She said, and turned around smoothly, backing them with complete disregard for their presence.
"Come on, Sagittarius. We already got what we are after, We are leaving Ragon city now."
The space before her tore opened, spinning violently with dark, corrupted spatial magic. With one last, lingering look at Mirabella, she licked her lips and entered the portal.
Sagittarius walked slowly towards the gateway, and paused right at the threshold: "Hayatobi... Tell that nephew of mine to get stronger, soon, I will be coming for his eyes... Hehehe, I hope he’ll put up a good show for me." He said, his threat hanging heavy in the room, and entered the gateway, which closed shut afterward with a sharp snap, leaving the room in eerie silence.
Mirabella stood rooted to the spot, her hands trembling around the hilt of her cracked sword: ’This... Is this the Devil Cult’s strength.’ She thought, bitterly remembering her arrogant threat to Lord Tenth just hours ago.
At the moment, Mirabella knew she hasn’t gotten anywhere. Despite her regression and rapid leveling, she was still a frog in a very deep well, completely ignorant of the true monsters lurking at the top of Galaxy Fall.
