Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 151: The Silent Reaper
{Level: 300.}
{Military Badge: Captain. White color.}
Mirabella hovered in the stifling, ash-choked air, her newly evolved white Captain’s badge gleaming starkly against the backdrop of destruction. She stared down at the burning city and the countless shattered bodies below, her face a mask of absolute, chilling emotionlessness. The frantic girl who had struggled in her past life was gone, replaced by an apex predator forged in the embrace of blood.
Ten meters behind her stood five colossal World Bosses, subjugated monsters capable of leveling down any human cities on their own, their massive leathery wings flapping rhythmically behind them, displacing the smoke.
While standing as her loyal, invisible guards were the ten guardians, silent phantoms ready to follow any orders without hesitation.
Mirabella stared at the ruins, the glow of the inferno reflecting in her cold blue eyes, and lightly exhaled: "Useless... Let’s visit the second city." She brought out the dense, spatial orb Divine Tree Esmeralda gave her, and tapped it. Instantly, the fabric of space folded around her, and she vanished, leaving behind nothing but an empire of flames.
____
[Second targeted city.]
BOOOOM!!!
The crimson sky violently tore opened, as Mirabella appeared in the airspace outside the second city, staring down at the huge, forbidding walls.
"This city looks identical to the last one, but the size is a lot smaller." She sighed, analyzing the structural layout of the black mineral architecture, and closed her eyes, centering her vast, newly expanded energy core.
"I think we should hunt every single soul in there." She muttered. At her command, the spirit energy in the air weaponized. One hundred perfectly forged, ethereal swords appeared behind her in a deadly halo, humming with lethal intent. And without words, the swarm of blades shot towards the city, shattering the grand defensive barrier instantly like fragile glass, and started the slaughter.
Mirabella simply stood in the sky, her six magnificent black wings flapping lazily in the toxic wind. Her eyes remained closed as she meticulously controlled the swords through pure will and spatial awareness. The blades moved through the streets and buildings like a reaper who came down for the souls of the demons, an orchestrated dance of silent, brutal efficiency.
"Silent kills... This is much better, I don’t want to face the demon emperor right now." She thought, optimizing her strategy to preserve energy while maximizing her kill count.
[Worldwide Announcement: Congratulations!! Spectral Has killed the 19th Elite guard under the demon emperor.]
’Huh? This makes it three elite guards that have fallen under my blade.’ Mirabella thought, her focus completely undisturbed, keeping her mind tethered to the lethal dance of the blades below.
____
[Demon Capital - Center Of The Abyss.]
WHOOSH!!!
Seventeen streaks of dark, compressed light flew from different locations across the Abyss, bypassing the capital’s wards, and appeared in the grand, dimmed throne hall. The cavernous space was only illuminated by glowing green, soul-fueled orbs placed in the jagged walls and towering obsidian pillars.
The lights coalesced, forming the humanoid figures of the remaining Elite Guards, who instantly landed heavily in front of the elevated throne, dropping to their knees, their horned heads bowed in deep reverence and fear.
"What is happening here? Why did the souls of three of my guards just vanished?" The dark, impossibly dense figure sitting on the throne asked. His voice didn’t just echo; it vibrated in their very bones. He pointed one elongated claw finger down at them:
"Tell me what’s happening, second elite." He added, his red eyes piercing the gloom.
The succubus, trembling slightly under the crushing weight of his presence, raised her head to the demon Emperor: "My King... The Abyss is under attack by humans, we don’t know how many, but by the destruction, they must be an army of a thousand." She said, her voice strained. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"You aren’t even sure of your words, meeting this demon Emperor with such uncertainties, aren’t you scared of the punishment?" He asked, as the suffocating, atmospheric Aura of a Level 500 sovereign fell on everyone present, making it difficult to even breathe.
"I am sorry, My King, but all my girls in that city... I can’t feel their emotions anymore." Her psychic network had been entirely severed.
"What?!"
Everyone abruptly turned their heads to the First Elite, whose pale, scarred face was suddenly filled with dawning shock.
"What happened?" The emperor asked, slowly lowering his hand, resting it heavily on his throne handrest, sensing his commander’s realization.
"The cities the humans are targeting." He looked up at the demon emperor, the horror of the situation stripping away his usual composure:
"These cities are connected with the hell gate dungeon. Whoever is leading this army already destroyed one city, and they are attacking the second city." He said in profound shock, his mind racing through the geographic layout of the realm, and stammered:
"The... The issue here is. Each of these city aren’t close, they are tens of thousands of kilometers from one another, and are located at the three main regions in the abyss." He said, laying out the logistical impossibility of the assault.
"So you think the one attacking isn’t an army?" The emperor asked, staring at him, his ancient red eyes glowing with a dangerous, calculating intellect.
The First Elite swallowed hard, his red eyes filled with disbelief at his own conclusion: "Yes, there is no one that can teleport an army of that size in an instant. It means, only a small group is attacking us." He said. To cause that much destruction with a small strike force defied everything they knew about human cultivators.
The demon emperor exhaled, a sound like grinding tectonic plates: "If what you’re saying is the truth, they will attack the third city after the second... 16th, and 18th, go and see what’s happening there. Don’t attack, just report back to me." He ordered.
"Yes, My King."
The two named demoness guards nodded swiftly, and shattered into streaks of dark light, flying out of the grand hall through the vaulted window.
"Succubus, show me what’s happening in the second city."
"Yes, My King."
The Second Elite stood up, and joined her palms together, channeling her scrying magic. A shimmering, dark screen appeared before the group, projecting the real-time feed of what was happening in the second city.
"....?!"
Everyone frowned deeply, staring at the projection. The city was completely intact, but it was too quiet. The bustling demonic metropolis was dead silent; there wasn’t a single sign of a demon screaming, a flashy magic attack, or an invading enemy force.
"What is happening?" The other elite guards were also dumbfounded, unable to process the eerie stillness.
"Stop."
The succubus instantly paused the screen, staring up at the demon emperor in confusion.
"These humans, I should have known." He stood up, abandoning his throne. The terrifying, unsuppressed Aura of a Lv500 rapidly spreading out from him, warping the very space of the hall.
"I will personally deal with them." With that absolute declaration, he vanished from the hall, leaving a vacuum of displaced air in his wake.
The Succubus was heavily confused. She turned back and manually zoomed in on the paused screen. As the image magnified on a seemingly empty street, both she and all the elite guards present froze in absolute terror:
"This... Is that a sword?" She asked in confusion, staring at a single, blood-drenched ethereal blade suspended mid-air above a pile of silent corpses.
Moment next:
BOOOOM!!!
