Future Beast World: Becoming A Pampered Beauty-Chapter 90 - 53: Rapid Physical Deterioration
"Fight a female like you? That’s ridiculous. If anyone saw, they’d think I was some kind of scumbag who bullies females!"
"Enough with the nonsense. Yes or no, are we fighting?" she asked with a captivating smile. "Beat me, and I’m yours."
The Beastman’s loins tightened, and his gaze burned even hotter. "I’ll give you a three-move handicap! You can have the first shot, just to get a feel for it."
"Really?"
"Really!"
WHAM!
The instant the Beastman’s words left his mouth, a fist slammed into his face, sending him flying.
After refining so many Beast Crystals, Sang Luo’s physical prowess was on a completely different level. Her Power of thunder and lightning spread in an instant. The Beastman had just climbed to his feet when he was shocked into total paralysis. All the Beastmen who had gathered to watch were caught in the electric field, crying out for mercy.
...
Leaving the Hunting Ground, Sang Luo claimed her prize as she’d hoped: the mustard bag. It was a Space Artifact about the size of an ordinary coin purse, but its interior was a world of its own, capable of storing plenty of treasures.
Spirit Sea Jade, Green Coral, Agate Beads... and several hundred High Rank Beast Crystals. Ah Ze loved these kinds of shiny, uselessly beautiful things. She kept the Beast Crystals for herself and stuffed everything else into his arms. Ah Ze gave her a quick peck on the cheek—something Sang Luo had taught him meant "thank you."
She caressed Ah Ze’s beautiful, supple face. ’I could never get tired of looking at him. He makes me want to pile all the best things in the world at his feet. In the old days, a face like that could topple kingdoms.’ "See anything else you like? I’ll win it for you tomorrow."
Unfortunately, after witnessing her ferocity, no one in the Beast Fighting Arena dared to provoke her, let alone accept her challenge.
’She’s more terrifying than any male!’
For the past few days, Sang Luo had felt like she was being secretly watched. She made some inquiries with the inn’s attendant and learned that females were still disappearing from the city every day. By now, nearly a hundred had vanished as if into thin air, spreading panic throughout the city. Male Beasts no longer dared to let their females go out, and if they did, they were always surrounded by a group of other males, terrified they would fall victim to a sneak attack.
One day after they ate, Sang Luo told Ah Ze that her new clothes were ready and she had to go to the tailor’s shop, instructing him to wait for her at home. She wasn’t sure if he understood, but with his strength, no one could hurt him anyway, so she left, feeling at ease.
After watching her leave, Ah Ze went inside and cleared away the dishes. Then, he rummaged through a drawer and took out many small items—miscellaneous trinkets Sang Luo had given him over the past few days. They were nothing special, really, just things she had picked up for him while wandering through the night market.
He emptied the jewels and coral from the mustard bag, tossing them aside without a second glance. He then carefully placed his small trinkets inside before climbing into bed to sleep.
Sang Luo had been so focused on investigating the disappearances in the city that she had been neglecting Ah Ze. Otherwise, she would have noticed that he had been sleeping for longer and longer periods recently.
Whenever she wasn’t home, he was usually in a deep slumber. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Meanwhile, just as Sang Luo stepped out of the tailor shop, a small, raggedly dressed Beastman child ran headlong into her. "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to!"
"What’s the rush? Is someone chasing you?" she asked, helping the little Beastman to his feet and wiping his grimy face.
To her surprise, the little Beastman clung tightly to her arm, his body trembling. "Please, miss, you have to help me! Take me back to my people! Someone’s chasing me! They want to capture me and sell me!"
Sang Luo was reminded of the recent disappearances. "Where are your people?"
"They’re over on Lanshan Street."
"Alright, that’s not far. I’ll take you." Sang Luo was familiar with the street. Sensing his trembling intensify, she gave his small hand a reassuring pat.
The street was on the outskirts of the city in a rather remote area. When Sang Luo arrived, she saw that it was deserted. Just as she was about to ask the boy a question, she realized he had vanished.
A large, rough hand suddenly clamped over her mouth and nose from behind. The cloth held against her face was soaked with a potent drug, and soon, the female collapsed.
Several Beastmen emerged from the shadows.
One of the Beastmen tossed the boy a few Star Stones. Overjoyed, the little Beastman kowtowed several times before scrambling away.
A fissure in space opened behind them. A large man hoisted the female onto his shoulder and stepped through it.
In an instant, they all vanished.
When Sang Luo awoke, she found herself lying in a clearing, her hands and feet bound by ropes. Around her lay dozens of other unconscious females.
A short distance away, dozens of tall Male Beastmen were moving back and forth, hauling huge, reddish-brown stones. The stones were etched with complex, strange patterns, and she couldn’t tell what they were doing.
She caught a glimpse of a Male Beastman as he turned, and her heart jolted when she saw his completely black eyes. ’The Insect Clan again!’
’These things are like maggots on a corpse; they can get in anywhere.’
’Not even the ocean could stop them.’
’What on earth do they plan to do with all these females?’
Taking advantage of the fact that no one was watching her, Sang Luo broke her bonds with a mere thought. She rotated her wrists and stretched her legs.
In just half a day, the Insect Clan had moved over a hundred of the red stones into the clearing. At first, Sang Luo thought they were just piling them up blindly, but she gradually began to see the method to their madness. They were creating an Array, and the stones were Array Stones.
A tall, brawny member of the Insect Clan suddenly headed in her direction. Sang Luo quickly closed her eyes, but she extended her spiritual power, allowing her to see him hoist a female onto his shoulder and toss her into the Array.
A second, then a third... One by one, all the kidnapped females were thrown into the Array.
’They’re planning to use the females as ritual sacrifices!’
’Perhaps all the females they captured before didn’t produce the desired effect, so the Insect Clan has changed its strategy this time.’
As a member of the Insect Clan came to grab her, Sang Luo’s eyes snapped open. The creature’s body instantly exploded into a mist of blood.
Alerted by the sound, the other members of the Insect Clan charged toward her.
With swift, deadly motions, Sang Luo cut down a swath of the Insect Clan. She levitated into the air, hurling one Thunder Ball after another to blast the red stones into dust.
"How audacious! Who dares cause a disturbance here?"
An incredibly terrifying aura descended. A man with green hair and a fiendishly charismatic face appeared out of nowhere. With a lift of his hand, he deflected all of her power back at her.
His long, narrow eyes, full of a chilling coldness, stared at her.
For an instant, Sang Luo felt like she was being targeted by some cold, terrifying predator.
"Your Third Highness, this female is incredibly strong! She’s wounded many of our brothers!"
The green-haired man eyed her with amusement. "So, you’re the female who took down Anubia not long ago?"
"Oh? Have we met?"
"You carry his scent."
"You’ve got the nose of a bloodhound to be able to smell that." ’This man is incredibly strong, close to the Half-King Realm. I’m no match for him.’ Sang Luo was already planning her escape route.
’Every member of the Insect Clan is gifted with Space Jumping. I won’t have an advantage there.’
"Heh... If I were to present him with your head, I wonder if he’d be sad enough to cry."
"Don’t be so dramatic, it’s cheesy. He probably wants to kill me even more than you do." Without another word, Sang Luo attacked.
The green-haired man didn’t even try to dodge. He stood perfectly still, watching her with a mocking expression.
He abruptly raised a hand, and Sang Luo found herself completely paralyzed, her eyes widening in terror.
He instantly teleported in front of her. A dark green blade materialized in his hand, and he gently traced its edge along her cheek. "Such a pretty face... It won’t be smiling for much longer. What a terrible shame~"
