"Of course. Just look at whose children they are," Caesar said, pride evident in his eyes.

"What, are you saying I had nothing to do with it?" Sang Luo shot him a playful glare.

Caesar immediately relented. He kissed her lips, his touch incredibly gentle. "It’s all thanks to you."

"It’s a shame I didn’t break through to King Rank." Sang Luo was still a little disappointed. ’It’s true what they say,’ she thought, ’the worlds above and below King Rank are completely different.’

She had gone from First Rank to Seventh Rank in just two short months.

Yet, even after giving birth to these Pure-blooded King Beast children, she hadn’t been able to reach King Rank.

Caesar poured her a cup of water. "The Old Beast King is considered one of the most talented Beastmen there is. Even with the Royal Family pouring all their resources into him, he didn’t become a King Beast until he was over fifty."

"Duotu Yalan is the Innate King Beast. The Old Beast King isn’t."

Caesar chuckled. "It has to do with the Queen who passed away years ago."

"Duotu Yalan’s mother was a King Rank female of the Angel Clan," he explained. "When two King Rank individuals have a child, there’s a high probability of producing a Mixed Blood Innate King Beast. He’s a Mixed Blood Angel Lion, and he inherited that golden hair from his Beast Mother." He thought for a moment before adding, "However, the bloodline of a newly born Mixed Blood King Beast is less stable than that of an Innate King Beast from an ancient lineage. Their power might only last for one generation before the next is born with ordinary talent. That’s why he’s so concerned with having an heir."

"There’s an Angel Clan in this world? And there are King Rank females?" Sang Luo asked in surprise.

"King Rank females are exceedingly rare—practically nonexistent. The Angel Clan is also a mysterious race of Innate King Beasts. They find it very difficult to have children, and female offspring are even rarer. But when they are born, their innate talent and strength are usually quite high."

"Egarli Yalan is pretty impressive, then, managing to get involved with such a rare Angel Clan female." Sang Luo pictured a beautiful Angel. "Was the Queen very beautiful? Duotu must look a little like his mother."

Despite knowing in advance, Egarli Yalan was still startled. His expression quickly darkened as he looked at the distraught Duotu. "You must have her! And produce an heir!"

Caesar had long ago made peace with the idea of having no descendants, so these children, no matter what they were, were a joyous surprise.

But Duotu couldn’t afford to do the same.

He wanted the highest position in the Empire, to rule over all.

The Old Beast King wasn’t dying anytime soon, and other relatives and nobles were already eyeing the throne. Duotu had to produce an heir to become the legitimate successor.

After the children were born, the Royal Palace seemed to let the matter drop. They withdrew their soldiers and no longer brought up what had happened before.

Both sides seemed to have shifted their focus elsewhere.

Caesar waited a few days for Sang Luo to recover in the hospital before taking her back to the manor.

Caesar spent his days holding the two eggs, using his bloodline’s power to incubate them. He hoped the children would hatch soon so Sang Luo could finally see what her two little treasures looked like...

Unable to withstand her eager, expectant gaze, he looked helplessly at Sang Luo on the bed. "Sangsang, they won’t hatch that quickly. I’m afraid we’ll have to wait a while."

"How long will it take?" she asked. She was desperate to see what her own children looked like.

"According to my inherited memories, it should take a few years at least," Caesar said thoughtfully. "And that’s considered fast."

"That long?" ’Did I give birth to a pair of Nezhas?’

"These two children weren’t fully developed in your womb, so the incubation time will be longer than for ordinary Beast Eggs," Caesar explained. "Innate King Beasts require an immense amount of energy. If it’s not controlled properly, they can end up consuming the mother, and there’s a high chance of an accident during birth. That’s why I used some of my power to have them born prematurely, so I could use my own power for the rest of the incubation."
