Future Beast World: Becoming A Pampered Beauty-Chapter 302 - 241: Like Father, Like Daughter
She wasn’t really thinking about looking for new Beast Husbands anymore.
She wanted to free up more time to spend with her current Beast Husbands and raise her children.
With more and more Beast Husbands and children, Sang Luo couldn’t be in two places at once, and there were bound to be times when someone was neglected. The Beast Husbands she had now were all quite talented with great potential, especially Fei Yuan and Si Ye. Their Cultivation levels still had enormous room for breakthroughs.
Worst case, she could just have a few more children with each of them, and her Cultivation would rise as well.
It would just take a bit more time compared to finding new Beast Husbands.
She now had new ties in the Beast World. As for going home, she no longer felt the same urgency she had at the beginning.
It was just an obsession that lingered in her heart.
She wanted to leave herself with another option.
’The option to return to the modern world, to stay in the Beast World, or to have the gates to both worlds open for her, allowing her to stay wherever she pleased.’
Sang Luo wanted the freedom to choose. The amount of time it took was not unreasonable.
What she had in abundance now was time.
Si Ye had also found ancient books for her regarding the laws of time and space. If one day she could truly master these laws, she could freely choose the point in time between the two worlds. In other words, no matter how long she stayed in the Beast World, she could still return to the exact moment she left her original world. The time she spent in the Beast World wouldn’t affect the other world.
This made her even less anxious.
During her pregnancies, Sang Luo preferred to stay with the child’s biological Beast Father to get the best nurturing conditions. However, she still had to schedule her time carefully and share the love, lest she let the others starve.
Sang Luo snuggled with Si Ye for a while, then rubbed her belly. "I’m hungry~"
Si Ye saw that her belly had gotten much rounder and was incredibly considerate. "What would you like to eat? I’ll make it for you myself."
"No, you should just have the kitchen make something for me." She was a very picky eater; ordinary cooking just wouldn’t do.
"You don’t trust me?"
The more Sang Luo said that, the more fired up he got, insisting on cooking a meal for her himself.
Sang Luo smiled and let him be.
Unexpectedly, it tasted quite good.
"Ah Ye, your cooking has improved!"
"It’s because you haven’t eaten here in too long. Even a picky eater like Little Zhenzhen says my cooking is good."
"That’s right, where is Little Zhenzhen?" Sang Luo looked around.
They were halfway through the meal, and she still hadn’t seen the child.
"Um, I sent her back to the Phoenix Palace for a few days. Fei Yuan really misses her. I’ll bring her back in a few days," Si Ye added hastily. "She also wanted to see that little snake cub you gave birth to."
"So you already know."
"Fei Yuan sent me a message about it. But I’ve been busy with other things lately and haven’t had a chance to go to the Imperial Palace to see you and the child."
"What things? Was it very troublesome?" Sang Luo picked up a Spirit Fruit that looked like a pomegranate and started squeezing it into juice.
"It wasn’t anything major, just..." Si Ye glanced at her nervously. "Little Zhenzhen beat up a cub from the Shu Lake Clan, and one of their Elders came to the Marquis Mansion personally to demand an explanation."
It was a good thing Sang Luo wasn’t drinking anything. "What?"
Si Ye explained, "She saw something she liked in a shop and paid the owner for it, but the Shu Lake Clan cub snatched it away."
"That shop is owned by the Shu Lake Clan, so of course they favored their own people. The owner later refunded the money, and I went to another shop and bought her an identical one. But she only wanted the one she saw in the first shop. Later, when I wasn’t looking, she snuck out, went to the Shu Lake Clan’s territory, and beat up their Young Master without anyone noticing."
"The next day, I came back from running errands to find the Shu Lake Clan’s Elder at my door, holding the bruised and swollen cub. He didn’t want any compensation—they’re not short on money—he just wanted her to apologize to their cub."
"Little Zhenzhen is very stubborn. Guess what she said then?"
Sang Luo rubbed her chin, guessing, "...Hmm, ’What’s done is done. If you don’t like it, let the other kid hit me back’?"
"Heh, close enough. She said, ’I already hit him. It’s his fault for being too weak to fight back. Why should the strong apologize to the weak?’"
"..." *Pfft.* ’How incredibly dramatic,’ she thought.
"The Elder had come over being perfectly reasonable, just asking for an apology. But her words infuriated the Shu Lake Clan. That little cub started crying again out of anger. I later made a special trip to the Shu Lake Clan Leader to offer some modest gifts, and the matter was finally put to rest."
"You can’t blame Little Zhenzhen entirely for this. There’s a principle of first come, first served. You two paid the shop owner first. Her methods were a bit violent, though." Sang Luo couldn’t help but laugh as she tried to defend her daughter. "What kind of little tyrant did I give birth to?"
She huffed lightly. "They say a daughter takes after her father. Little Zhenzhen’s rotten temper must have come from you!"
Si Ye reached up and rubbed his neck. He really couldn’t argue with that.
He had been fighting since he was a child, fearing nothing. Forget the Bian Clan—when he was young, none of the King Beast cubs in the entire Western Region dared to provoke him. They all hailed him as their leader.
But now that he had a partner and a child, he had become much more steady in his actions. He had to be more circumspect and couldn’t be as reckless and carefree as before.
Meanwhile, in the Phoenix Palace, Little Zhenzhen, the subject of their conversation, sneezed. She scratched her little pink nose with a paw. ’Is Daddy missing me, or is Mommy missing me?’
"Zhenzhen, come over here!"
"Coming!"
Zhenzhen called out to Little Qi and rushed forward.
The two children were born of the same mother. Though their Beast Fathers were different, their shared maternal bloodline made them instinctively close. After playing together for a few days, the two cubs had become as close as could be.
The two cubs were chasing a ball inside the hall.
No one knew who suggested it, but they were having a lot of fun anyway.
Right now, the ball was hooked on Little Qi’s tail.
Little Zhenzhen pounced fiercely at Little Qi’s snake tail.
But unexpectedly, Little Qi’s snake tail flicked upward, sending the ball flying into the air.
Little Zhenzhen let out a yelp and instinctively lunged for the ball.
The next second, with a THUMP!, she crashed into a table leg, flipping head over heels and getting a small bump on her head.
She lay on the ground, one paw holding down the hard-won ball, the other rubbing her dizzy head. "The room... why is the room spinning? Ooh, my head stings!"
"Sister, are you okay?" Little Qi slithered over in concern. He licked the bump on her head with his forked tongue, and the pain vanished!
Little Zhenzhen sat up and touched her head, discovering to her surprise that the bump was gone.
Little Qi took the opportunity to flick the tip of his tail and snatch the ball from under her paw.
Fei Yuan walked in just in time to see this and chuckled softly. ’This little snake cub looks innocent and cute, but he’s got a mischievous streak.’
Then he glanced at the mess in the hall, where several shattered vases lay on the floor, and his temple throbbed. "Who told you two to play ball inside the house?"
"Grand-uncle~"
Little Zhenzhen called out sweetly, and Fei Yuan’s anger instantly vanished. He smiled, "Come here, let Grand-uncle give you a hug."
Little Zhenzhen leaped into his arms and snuggled against him affectionately.
Fei Yuan lovingly stroked her fluffy little head.
"Uncle Fei Yuan~" Little Qi also called out softly.
Fei Yuan laughed and scooped him into his arms as well.
Holding the two little cubs, he felt a profound sense of contentment.
Little Zhenzhen suddenly realized something was off. She scratched her head. "Huh? Why do I call him Grand-uncle, but big brother calls him Uncle?"
’That’s not how I learned the family ranks.’
Fei Yuan was momentarily embarrassed.
’He had taken his own nephew’s wife. How was he supposed to explain this to a child?’
Little Qi wagged the tip of his tail. "Mommy has a baby in her belly. It’s Uncle Fei Yuan’s baby, you know."
Little Zhenzhen grew even more confused. "Ah? Then should I call them my little brother or sister, or should I call them..."
