From Imp to Demon God: Conquering the Demon World With a Succubus-Chapter 74: Unpredictable Demon
Demonic arts relating to the Law of Charm, huh?
Myles thought of Violet. It has been a while since he saw her and he couldn’t help but long for her presence, too.
Her soul connection with Violet was vague, but he perceived he was still able to issue a mental command to her.
The problem was...
How can we meet without alerting others?
As the duel was occurring between a Shadowbind Knight and a Blood Knight, Myles went closer to the Commander and asked, "Will it be possible to meet my master at any moment?"
The Commander of the Blood Knights frowned. He said in a stern voice, "I already told you, the knights and their masters are isolated from each other, not until there’s an announcement from the headmaster."
Myles asked, "How about if it’s an emergency? My master seemed to be calling for my presence now."
"Did she inform the Guardian of Scarlet Bond, then?"
Myles was silent for a while.
He sighed and backed away.
His mood turned sour. It seems it won’t be possible at all. I have no choice but to increase my mastery in my skills to defeat a Commander. I have the element of surprise with me anyway.
Myles was in deep contemplation, causing him to exude an aura that caused the Blood Knights to hesitate when initiating a conversation with him.
After all, they were curious.
How the hell was Myles stronger than them when his potential was lower than them?
It was a slap on their face every time they realized Myles was undefeated in every duel.
The format of the duel was to fight different knight races one at a time. It was to adapt to the fighting style of different races.
Myles only has the Crimson Phantom Steps, but his skills far surpassed them. Furthermore, Myles was also fighting a different style—originated from the Aegis Hand-to-Hand Combat—causing his opponent to have a hard time predicting him.
In fact, they already gave a nickname to Myles.
"Unpredictable Demon."
Myles heard a mumble but he did not give them attention. Of course, he knew they were addressing him with that strange nickname.
Myles secretly sighed.
I was planning not to gain their attention. They should refer to the voice in my head as unpredictable, not me.
Myles planned to enslave others secretly, but with the sudden changes of the second effect of the Ancient Demon of Gluttony bloodline, Myles inevitably changed his ways.
He asked the voice in his head, "How many followers I have gained now?"
[Followers: 26/100]
Myles nodded. Although it was still far from the target, he was still satisfied. He estimated he would ascend into baron in less than six months.
Right now, his attention was focused on the Commander of the Veil Stalker, who he has to face in two months.
As he was contemplating how to fight against the Commander of the Veil Stalker, the Guardian of Scarlet Bond’s appearance crossed his mind.
He recalled she would always appear every after session of the arena’s law of charm suppression because of how he always overdid it.
If I can’t reach out Violet, then she will do.
Hence, he went closer to the Commander and whispered into his ears.
"If you meet the Guardian of Scarlet Bond again, will you do me a favor? Tell her that I want a copy of their demonic arts. Any kind of them."
The Commander of the Blood Knights was stunned for a second. He clearly did not expect the words that came out of the first knight cadet’s mouth.
He turned towards Myles and was about to reprimand him when he realized that the Guardian of Scarlet Bond and Myles was actually close with each other.
He was silent for a while as he ruminated.
Myles said, "Come on, have you forgotten that having a copy of our master’s demonic arts doesn’t matter? In fact, we can learn about it and develop even more resistance to it."
The Commander rolled his eyes and instantly replied, "Did you think we haven’t come up with that for the past millenium? We don’t need to understand their demonic arts, just gaining resistance against the demonic energy of the law of charm is enough!"
Myles coughed. "Alright. Still, there’s no problem with me asking you a favor about it. If the Guardian of Scarlet Bond will have a problem about it, then press the blame into me."
"As if it’s that easy. I’m your instructor and I have the right to decline whatever bullshit you’re thinking."
"It’s not bullshit, Commander. There’s no harm in doing my favor."
"I’ll be damned if I angered the Guardian of Scarlet Bond with your favor!"
His voice was loud enough to attract the other knights’ attention, including the Commanders.
He coughed and apologized.
Myles moved his face away from him to prevent others from being excessively curious about their conversation.
Thankfully, the Commander was not that tough to crack, as he eventually said, "Alright. I will try. If she questioned me about it, I’ll treat it as a no and won’t pursue it any further."
Myles grinned from ear to ear. He nodded and said, "Thank you, Commander!"
The Commander simply nodded.
Myles smiled. He was confident that the Guardian of Scarlet Bond would provide him with demonic art. After all, it was already known that learning a demonic art of another noble wouldn’t matter if they weren’t born with an affinity with it.
A demon noble’s demonic art was as exclusive as their demonic innate art. Hence, there was a high chance the Guardian of Scarlet Bond would agree with his demands.
Myles was now excited to learn another demonic arts.
