From Imp to Demon God: Conquering the Demon World With a Succubus-Chapter 64: Crimson Register Stones
"The Fourth Core Laws.
Social and Political Conduct.
Insult is not a Crime—Disrespect Is. Status Must be Observed."
"The Fifth Core Laws.
The Academy Does Not Protect the Weak. What You Bind, You Own. Secrets Are Property."
"The Sixth Core Laws.
Curfew Exists Only for First-Years. Observation Towers Are Off-Limits."
"The Final Laws.
Survival Does Not Equal Innocence. Graduation Is a Privilege, Not a Right. The Academy Always Collects Its Due."
After the Vampire Lord’s proxy mentioned the remaining laws, he paused for a while and said, "First-years, repeat what I have just said. Word by word."
Every first year demon noble and knight repeated the core laws of the Royal Academy he announced, word by word. Most of the demon nobles and knights were unable to memorize every word, but by synchronizing with other demon nobles and knights, they were able to act as if they uttered every law.
Once they finished repeating all the core laws of the Royal Academy, the Vampire Lord’s proxy nodded and said, "You will know each of the laws mentioned deeply during your student life here in the Royal Academy."
As he finished speaking, the Ceremonial Duel Circle, normally dormant, suddenly activated. The Grand Hall quivered ceaselessly and a massive sigil manifested at the center of the Ceremonial Duel Circle.
Eventually, the Grand Hall began to settle and the massive sigil’s light slowly dimmed.
The Vampire Lord’s proxy said, "Starting from the noble department, students must begin to stand at the Ceremonial Duel Circle. Afterwards, your knight must stand behind you."
Myles quickly searched for Violet and instantly found her. The Crown of Velvet was the first to proceed at the Ceremonial Duel Circle.
In fact, it was Violet, who led Pink, Peach, and Magenta to stand beside her.
The Ceremonial Duel Circle was wide, enough to cover different sizes of demon nobles and knights, amounting to a hundred, having twenty seven different demon noble races and fifteen knights.
Most of the demon nobles don’t have knights, but it appeared the Royal Academy accepted them.
As Myles felt like he was now closer to some demon nobles, there was a demon noble race that alarmed him. It was those shadow silhouettes with glowing eyes three meters away from him. His shadow domain actually warned him the shadow silhouettes would instantly recognize his shadow affinity if he carelessly ordered the shadow around him.
It also gave him a chance to assess how powerful his current shadow affinity was compared to a demon noble with a shadow affinity.
Myles suddenly recalled the Guardian of Obsidian Descent’s words. He thought. Why did he claim that the incubus race is the only race that remains to have an affinity with the shadow? Just staring at those creatures’ appearance already conveyed they have shadow affinity.
However, Myles’ thoughts were quickly interrupted by the Vampire Lord proxy’s voice.
He said, "Each of the students will ascend in the Blood Oath Steps. Once you arrive at the top, use your blood to write your true demon name at the Crimson Register Stone. How it reacts will show to the public your potential. Afterwards, your knight will ascend and do exactly what you will do."
When Myles heard what to do in the Crimson Register Stone. He frowned.
In a split-second of his anxiety, he thought of a way out.
He asked the voice in his head, "Will the Crimson Register Stone be able to see through my true demon name?"
However, just as he asked the voice in his head, the Vampire Lord’s proxy said, "We will start in the Crown of Velvet. Succubus with the violet hair, come up here."
Violet’s heart skipped a beat. She was frozen for a second before anxiously began stepping at the stairs. As much as she wanted to turn around and asked Myles what to do, she restrained herself.
Her thoughts ran wild. We will be discovered because of that damn object. Why did I not ask about the procedure of the Crimson Matriculation? Damn it! I got so careless!
Violet’s body continued to tremble every time she ascended one stair. However, the demon nobles only thought her anxiousness was the opposite of Violet’s belief.
After all, most of the instructors and even the headmaster were aware of Violet’s true potential, perhaps even the whole demon noble races were aware. They believed Violet must have been afraid to get exposed that she only had two true demon names and the Crimson Register Stone would reveal it.
Violet continued to ascend on the stairs until she finally arrived in front of the headmaster. Without hesitation, she bowed and waited. The Vampire Lord Proxy then took out the Crimson Register Stone.
Carrying the massive stone in his embrace, he stepped forward as the Vampire Lord said, "You may now rise."
Violet nodded and rose. She glanced at the Crimson Register Stone while trembling. Without hesitation, she bit her fingertips as blood drew out.
She hesitantly pushed her finger and slowly wrote her name on the stone.
"Nyxara Veth—"
To her surprise, her right hand slowly pulled away and the Crimson Register Stone instantly faded away to prevent other demon nobles from knowing her name. In fact, only the demon who wrote their name on the Crimson Register Stone would be able to see it.
The Crimson Register Stone soon glows faint marks, signifying the ordinary potential of Violet.
The headmaster, as well as, the instructors and seniors were quite surprised when they saw the glow.
They had the same thought. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
It might be the faintest glow in the history of the Royal Academy’s official admission.
Without waiting for others to react, the Vampire Lord’s proxy said, "Now, the succubus’ knight shall come up and must write his name."
Violet wanted to turn around to glance at Myles, but was rational enough to not completely turn her back against the Vampire Lord.
She rotated her neck as much as she could to see Myles confidently ascending on the stairs.
Instant realization quickly struck her.
So, he controlled my body to write only two true demon words, huh? How did he instantly think the Crimson Register Stone would only recognize the true demon name written? Not the accurate true demon name?
When Myles arrived in front of the headmaster, he kneeled with one knee as the Vampire Lord finally permitted him to write his true demon name on the Crimson Register Stone.
Violet saw with her own eyes the true demon words of Myles written on the Crimson Register Stone.
"Vorash Kael—"
He pulled his right hand and the Crimson Register Stone glowed faint marks, though a bit brighter than Violet.
Once the Crimson Register Stone glow settled down, the Vampire gave permission for Violet and Myles to return to the Crimson Duel Steps.
At this moment, Myles and Violet’s eyes finally met.
Despite not seeing his actual expression, Violet knew...
He was grinning from ear to ear.
