From Hoarding to Time-Travel: My Supplies Saved Him-Chapter 51 - 52: Enter Together
Jin Qianqian was so excited she didn’t even hear what Gu Wenheng had just said. "Wenheng, guess what? I opened another door!"
"A door?" Gu Wenheng was confused.
Jin Qianqian said, "I described it to you before, didn’t I? There are six colored doors in there, and I’d only opened the red one. But when I went in today, I found I could go through the green one, too! Do you know what’s inside?"
Gu Wenheng shook his head, content to just listen.
Jin Qianqian continued, "There’s some farmland, but I don’t know how to farm, so I have no idea what to do with it. If only you could get in there."
The moment she said it, the scene around Jin Qianqian changed. "Look! This is the land I was telling you about." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Before Gu Wenheng could even process what had happened, he was already looking around curiously.
"I’m in?" Gu Wenheng raised his hands and rubbed his eyes, still in disbelief.
Jin Qianqian finally snapped out of it and suddenly shrieked, "AHHHH! You’re in! Why couldn’t you get in before?"
Gu Wenheng curiously walked over to touch the jelly-like walls. When he pressed into the milky-white surface, it immediately bounced back.
All Jin Qianqian wanted now was to give Gu Wenheng a tour of her space. She grabbed his hand. "I’ll show you my stockpile now. Even if we do nothing for the rest of our lives, we have enough here to live comfortably."
Gu Wenheng was curious about the interior as well, so he let Jin Qianqian pull him toward the doorway.
But the moment Jin Qianqian stepped through, Gu Wenheng, who was right behind her, was instantly repelled, as if an invisible force was blocking his path.
Jin Qianqian noticed something was wrong. "What’s happening? Can you only stay in this area?"
Gu Wenheng’s mind went further. "It seems this space of yours is quite thoughtful. You just said you couldn’t farm, and it brought me in as manual labor. I suspect this is the only area I’m allowed in."
Jin Qianqian was speechless. ’...This can’t be what’s really happening, can it? Then again, it probably is!’
Gu Wenheng, however, was intrigued. He walked back and forth across the plot of land, occasionally reaching down to feel the soil. "Truly incredible."
Now that they were both in the space, Jin Qianqian was in no rush to leave. Soon, two large basins appeared on the ground, one of which she had already filled with water.
"While we have time, come over and wash up. If we enter the village looking like this, they’ll probably run us out of town." It was true everywhere that people judge a book by its cover.
Besides, they were so disheveled that even in decent clothes, the filth on their faces and in their hair would be enough to make anyone keep their distance.
Seeing the sparkling clean water, Gu Wenheng couldn’t resist. He started to undo his belt, not missing a chance to tease her. "So, is Qianqian going to help her husband undress?"
Jin Qianqian’s eyes widened, and in the next instant, she vanished from the field.
"Talk about playing favorites. She can even teleport," Gu Wenheng muttered, clicking his tongue. ’It would be so much better if she couldn’t do that.’
Jin Qianqian, who had reappeared in the main hall, clutched her crimson cheeks. She took a moment to compose herself before her racing heart finally settled.
Still not ready to give up, Jin Qianqian went and tried pulling on the other doors. After confirming that they remained stubbornly shut, she sullenly turned back to the red one.

「Outside the city gate」
Watching the crowd surge toward the city gates, Li Cuicui clutched the children tightly. She ushered them into a corner and quickly piled all their luggage together.
As she watched people clutching their bags and bundles while running into the city, all she could do was stare anxiously toward the entrance.
All her sons and daughters-in-law were up ahead in the queue. ’Please let nothing happen to them.’
"Are Mom and Dad not coming back?" Gu Lehua asked, nervously tugging on Li Cuicui’s sleeve. "Grandma, should we go to the front and look?"
Li Cuicui glanced at Gu Dashishi lying in the corner and at all their family’s luggage, then shook her head helplessly. "We can’t leave. If we do, your parents won’t be able to find us when they come back."
"But I thought I heard them say everyone’s gone into the city. Did Mom and Dad run in, too? Are they abandoning us?" Even at her young age, Gu Lehua understood that getting into the city was their only chance of survival. Faced with such an opportunity, nobody would pass it up. Look at all the people rushing forward; not a single one was turning back.
Li Cuicui’s face hardened. "Even if your parents did go inside, I’m still here with all of you. They’ll have to come back for us eventually."
"And if they did enter the city, it would only be to find a way for everyone to survive. If you don’t want us to get separated, then you will all stay put right here!"
As she said this, Li Cuicui’s own heart was pounding with anxiety. If it was a simple announcement that the city was open, then it was a beacon of hope for everyone.
But what if someone was taking advantage of the chaos, leading a charge to break through the gates? She couldn’t bear to imagine what fate would await her family then.
Perhaps because Li Cuicui’s voice had been too severe, the children began to whimper in fear.
The sound also woke Gu Dashishi. Clutching his injured arm, he muttered, "Water... water..."
Gu Le’an was the first to notice. He immediately stopped crying and exclaimed, "Grandma, Grandpa’s awake! Quick, come look!"
Forgetting all about the situation at the front, Li Cuicui turned and rushed to his side. "Dashishi, you’re finally awake! Is your arm hurting?"
"Water..."
"Quick, help your grandma bring the water over!" Li Cuicui yelled to the children.
Gu Lehua bit her lip. "Grandma, we’re out of water."
Li Cuicui glanced at her, then at her other silent grandchildren. Without a word, she went to rummage through the satchel Gu Wenheng had left with her.
Grasping the bamboo canteen, Li Cuicui hurried back to Gu Dashishi’s side, lifted his head, and helped him drink several large gulps.
"As long as you’re awake," Li Cuicui said, her heart easing as she watched him drink the water.
"Where are the others?" With some moisture back in his throat, Gu Dashishi noticed that besides his wife, only a few bewildered children were present.
"They went to queue for water, but for some reason, everyone started rushing the city gate. I think someone said they were opening up."
"Opening the gates is a good thing! It means we all have a chance to live. Let’s get our things packed quickly. As soon as the others get back, we’ll leave. We can’t fall behind." Wincing, Gu Dashishi supported his injured arm and slowly sat up.
"Grandpa, a lot of people have already left, but my mom and dad still aren’t back! Did they abandon us?" Gu Lehua couldn’t stop herself from rushing in front of Gu Dashishi and blurting out all her fears.
"Don’t listen to Little Hua’s nonsense," Li Cuicui said, glaring at her. "There are seven or eight of you children here. They wouldn’t possibly abandon us."
