From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!-Chapter 29 - 17: A Blueprint for Bloodshed (Part 2)

Four overly detailed blueprints, each with its own highlights. Various model components perfectly match; if the blueprints fall into the hands of someone knowledgeable, they will surely make a fortune. The four members of K3 are all Mecha Masters, not adept in design. They were merely attracted by the mecha’s appearance on the blueprints, whereas their parents were tempted by the enticing data ╮(╯▽╰)╭.

Their records have soared, and their scores have been rising rapidly. When they won 35 consecutive rounds, K3 decided to stop today’s competition and rest to prepare for tomorrow. Su Jiameng didn’t mind. As it was still early, the group stayed in the training ground to rest, reviewing today’s competition videos to learn lessons, pondering how to achieve more perfection.

Lucy was looking at the blueprint Su Jiameng gave, the 3D diagrams of the components and the accompanying data calculations. After staring at them for most of the day, she could only understand a bit. Mecha Masters, though they study other subjects, primarily focus on mecha piloting. As for maintenance, modification, or design, they only slightly dabble, and some even know nothing.

Although she didn’t understand, her older brother was a famous genius from the design academy, and her second uncle was a master of mecha manufacturing. She really wanted to turn these blueprints into reality. Imagine driving this mecha; it would be super cool.

She sent the blueprints to her second uncle, wanting to see if he could manufacture them. After a long time, her second uncle sent a message.

"Niece, where did you get this blueprint?" Her second uncle messaged Lucy privately, "Your dad also sent this same blueprint to me, saying you gave it to him..."

These detailed blueprints, even the data and formulas, are so clear. This doesn’t match a typical mecha designer’s habits. It looks like an original draft, but designers are very cautious with their originals! How did it end up with my niece?

"Um... a friend from a team gave it to me, said it was a reward..." Lucy vaguely knew the blueprint was impressive, but she didn’t know in what way. Her brother and father, after taking the blueprint, became unreachable.

Her second uncle was silent for a long time, then sent a screenshot with questions, "Is that comrade still around? Can you help inquire about this formula’s deduction and these parts’..." and so on, more than ten questions. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Lucy immediately sent a message, "I’ll ask right away... or maybe you should add her as a friend later..."

"Okay..." Her second uncle sent an anxious and nervous emoji, leaving Lucy puzzled.

"Captain, where did Xiao Meng go?" Why is she gone in the blink of an eye? "The big guy is also missing..."

"There, over there!" K3 pointed in a direction, "The big guy is discussing modification insights with her."

Uh oh~~(╯﹏╰)b, Lucy looked in the direction K3 pointed, and instantly kneeled. Are you sure those two are discussing and not the big guy trying to hit on Xiao Meng?

From Lucy’s perspective, Xu Lei and Su Jiameng were squatting on the ground, with their heads together whispering about something. In front of them were many mecha parts, with a half-finished modified mecha nearby.

Lucy walked closer to hear, and goodness, they were discussing topics filled with brain-cracking academic formulas, occasionally drawing on the ground with chalk, and it was all Su Jiameng talking while Xu Lei listened attentively. Damn, this guy isn’t even this focused in class!

"Lucy, is there something you need?" Su Jiameng, with her exceptional hearing, even while focused on discussing with Xu Lei, noticed familiar footsteps approaching and could tell who it was with a bit of discernment. Lucy was about to answer when her dad sent a message saying Su Jiameng’s household registration had been updated, and she could now check it online.

She changed the narrative she was about to say, "Dad said your household registration has been updated, and my second uncle has some questions he’d like to discuss with you... He’s a mecha manufacturing master and is really interested in the design you gave."

"So fast?" Su Jiameng was stunned Orz, should she praise the efficiency of Future Interstellar? This also shows Lucy’s family background is certainly strong, at least to have this channel, "Where is Lucy’s second uncle?"

"He’s waiting. If you have time, you could add him as a friend." Lucy’s second uncle, who is in his forties, is at an age where one is just about to shine in this era, but his uncle, with his outstanding talent, has carved out a small name for himself in the circle and is particularly obsessed with anything mecha-related, "But his temper isn’t great, so be mentally prepared..."

Su Jiameng was confused, and after adding the person as a friend, the moment she submitted the request, she received a message saying the other party accepted her friend request.

She silently -_−||| wiped her sweat, realizing the other party was really waiting by the tech brain.

Lucy’s second uncle was evidently an open and straightforward person. After adding as friends, he went straight to the point after a few greetings. His questions were varied but didn’t make Su Jiameng feel like he was being deliberately difficult. She answered them one by one, very detailedly.

Then, there was a long silence on the other side, where the upper-left icon kept showing that the other side was typing. After three to five minutes, he sent a very short message, "Umm... can you authorize the power-saving engine design and those few parts’ designs?"

In the future world, the law’s protection for design patents is enormous. As long as the designer can provide evidence proving that the creation is theirs, even without patent application, they can enjoy the benefits brought by the design for up to thirty years.

Lucy’s second uncle, being somewhat known in the circle, naturally understood how valuable these designs were. Yet due to the law, he could only use the blueprints to make a mecha for his niece but couldn’t use the parts’ designs for profit...

Of course, if the designer granted permission, then there would be no problem.
