Lin Fan arrived back at the wooden hut, and he got busy.

He prepared the soup, meat, vegetables and other ingredients required.

If it was either of them, he felt he should have enough by now.

But Ho Jie shook his head and chuckled.

"If only it was this easy." He sighed and continued, "The chief librarian doesn't grant access to the manuscripts easily, not even the sect master.

"You have to be able to go through a secret realm, get something that has equivalent value in exchange for it."

Lin Fan frowned and took note of it.

"And after that, it's time we visited the library." Lin Fan said.

"Great. That's what I was thinking about lately." Ho Ming replied.

He knew he was slipping behind Lin Fan and he had to try and get better.

Getting a higher-level manuscript could certainly help.

"It's been a long time but I'm finally back here again." Sima Liang entered the wooden hut.

He looked tired with dark eye rings all around his eyes.

Lin Fan wasn't too surprised, he nodded to what Sima Liang said as he had expected it.

His focus was to get to be Sect Master in the future.

Finally, Guo He Ru arrived.

He smiled and started the dinner.

Dipping the meat into the hot soup of the hotpot let out the aroma of cooked meat.

Tai Lan swallowed hard as he waited impatiently for the meat to be cooked.

"Hmmm....This is heaven." The tenderness of the meat was just right, it melted immediately when the meat got into his mouth.

Flavors from the soup then exploded inside his mouth.

Lin Fan didn't lie to him, it was indeed ten times better than what they had out in the field.

Everyone also joined in the feast.

It ended when all the food had been consumed.
