From Apocalypse To Entertainment Circle (BL)-Chapter 90: Flight and the Love Rival II
Chapter 90: Flight and the Love Rival II
It was a morning like any other, with a gentle warmth enveloping the room as sunlight poured through the windows, casting a golden glow on everything it touched. Outside, the air was alive with the cheerful symphony of birds chirping energetically, their melodious calls weaving through the soft rustle of leaves in the warm breeze. It felt as though nature itself was greeting the day with open arms.
In the villa where Sian was staying, most people were already awake, each occupied with their own tasks. Some of the contestants had even woken up earlier than scheduled to get in some morning exercise.
Of course, none of that had anything to do with Sian. Morning exercises? Absolutely not in this lifetime. He had already spent most of his years in his other world running, training, and fighting day and night. Now? Don’t even dream of making him do a single push-up—even if his life depended on it.
The sleeping prince grumbled as he shifted under his blankets, only to pull the covers over his head moments later, curling up like a giant burrito.
Jiao Liangchen, freshly emerged from the steam of the bathroom with a soft towel draped around his hips, was rhythmically drying his hair when he caught sight of a playful scene unfolding before him. On the bed, a quilt cocooned a lively figure that squirmed and wriggled intermittently, resembling a little burrito coming to life. The humorous sight made him chuckle, contrasting the tranquility of the moment with the unexpected playful energy on the bed.
He let out a light chuckle before walking over to the window and pulling the curtains shut. Only then did the movement on Sian’s bed stop. A tuft of white hair and half of a flushed face peeked out from under the thick blanket.
[Heh, what a cute little thing,] Jiao Liangchen thought, the corners of his lips quirking up slightly.
While the two roommates were deepening their "brotherly bond" (No, that was not happening), the filming crew was dealing with a problem.
A strikingly handsome man—clearly someone important—had shown up early in the morning, claiming he needed to see his friend for something extremely urgent.
The crew tried explaining the rules to him—he wasn’t a contestant, nor was he part of the staff, so they couldn’t allow him inside. Unfortunately, this visitor was incredibly stubborn, to the point where they had no choice but to contact the director, who was elsewhere at the time.
By the time the director arrived, his face was contorted in anger, making it clear that he had no intention of welcoming this so-called guest. Many on the crew even bet on whether the director would punch the man or not.
But to everyone’s shock, after just two minutes of talking, the director’s expression softened. He smiled kindly and even treated the man with great respect—going so far as to bow slightly before personally escorting him to the contestant’s room.
The moment Lan Qisheng learned Sian’s room number, he practically flew in that direction.
No, really—he flew.
The man quite literally cut five steps into one, and the staircase? Don’t even ask—he cleared it in two strides. freewebnoveℓ.com
Lan Qisheng had been longing to see Sian. He hadn’t touched or even laid eyes on him for two whole days—yes, two days, and this was the third! Yesterday’s conversation had finally popped the bubble of his patience.
Longing, anxiety, and worry flooded his chest. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he was about to see his beloved.
[Will Sian be surprised to see me? I bet he’ll love it. Well, I admit he might scold me for coming unannounced, especially since he’s working... but I’ll just tell him the truth. Who told him to hang up the phone right after telling me he met some deranged killer obsessed with beauty? He didn’t explain a damn thing! As a qualified lover, of course, I had to come to check on my darling myself.]
After reassuring himself and preparing his excuses, Lan Qisheng finally stood in front of the door and knocked as gently as possible. He knew how much Sian despised being woken up early.
Maybe he’d just sneak inside and nap with him for a bit. He was tired, after all... and he really missed holding Sian in his arms.
A soft, foolish smile rested on the great colonel’s face.
The door opened—
And Lan Qisheng’s smile froze.
Then it disappeared completely, leaving behind a dark expression and furrowed brows.
"What is it? Why are you knocking on my door this early? It’s not time for the shared meal yet. Go away. We’ll come down when it’s time."
Lan Qisheng was speechless.
How could he not be, when the sight before him was completely unexpected?
What greeted him wasn’t his beloved’s angelic and beautiful face. It wasn’t those captivating, amber eyes full of life and allure.
Instead, he was met with a man of almost the same height as him.
That wasn’t the issue—he already knew the rooms were shared and had planned to talk to the director about giving Sian a private room later.
But could someone explain why Sian’s roommate had such a well-defined body?
And more importantly—why the hell was he practically naked, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist?!
Jiao Liangchen, who had just told the "important visitor" that they weren’t coming down yet, was about to close the door. He knew the teenager loved his sleep, especially in the morning, and didn’t want anything disturbing him. Since Sian was sensitive to noises, he had even kept his voice low.
But just as he was about to shut the door, a hand caught the edge and stopped him.
Jiao Liangchen’s sword-like brows furrowed. He was about to say something when the man spoke first.
"You’re Sian’s roommate?" Lan Qisheng raised an eyebrow, asking the most obvious question.
Without waiting for an answer, he pushed the door open and stepped inside as if he owned the place.
From that one question, Jiao Liangchen immediately realized that this man wasn’t part of the staff—he was here specifically for Sian. Studying the man’s face closely, Jiao Liangchen felt he had seen him before but couldn’t quite recall where.
Lan Qisheng walked straight towards Sian’s bed.
Jiao Liangchen considered stopping him, wanting to warn him that waking Sian up would likely result in a physical attack. After all, he had experienced that firsthand just last night.
But then he hesitated.
Maybe he should just let it happen. It would be entertaining to see the guy sprawled on the floor.
Unfortunately, the scene he had imagined didn’t unfold. Instead, something happened that made his jaw drop to the floor.
Lan Qisheng sat down beside Sian’s bed.
Then, with a gentle touch, he brushed aside the strands of messy silver-white hair peeking out from under the blanket.
He didn’t stop there—he even tilted Sian’s face up, exposing more of the sleeping teenager’s peaceful features.
The moment Lan Qisheng finally got a full view of Sian’s face, his ocean-blue eyes shimmered with love, tenderness, and adoration.
His fingers brushed over the younger’s soft cheek, lingering there for a moment.
Then, despite knowing there was another person in the room, he simply couldn’t resist.
Or maybe—he did it on purpose, just so the other man would get the message loud and clear.
Lowering his head slowly, Lan Qisheng pressed his lips against Sian’s in a brief, feather-light kiss.
Why not a deep French kiss?
Well, the last time he tried something like that in the morning, Sian broke one of his ribs.
Of course, Lan Qisheng didn’t mind getting injured by his beloved.
But he wasn’t about to let a "stranger" witness that sight.
And the poor "stranger" in question?
He was too stunned to react—his eyes fixed in disbelief on the sleeping Sian and the man beside him, who was now caressing his face with overflowing affection.
At first, he was expecting the man to be punched by Sian, but to his shock, the man sat down and touched Sian without suffering even the slightest harm. Instead, Sian merely mumbled before settling back into a peaceful sleep. He didn’t even flinch when the man touched him here and there, pinched his face, or played with his features. Jiao Liangchen almost believed that Sian was simply a deep sleeper—if not for the fact that he had kissed the floor last night just for getting too close to the teenager’s bed.
Then, just as he reassured himself that Sian only reacted that way to strangers or had simply been on edge the previous night, the visitor... kissed him.
A kiss? A kiss! Mouth to mouth? A real lovers’ kiss?
So... was this man Sian’s lover?
For some reason, his heart skipped a beat.
Jiao Liangchen felt as if someone was gripping his heart tightly, squeezing it hard. And yet, he couldn’t understand the reason behind this strange, suffocating sensation.
