From Abyssal Invasion to Bursting Stars with a Single Sword-Chapter 902 - 523: The Awakening of the Giant Beast (Part 2)
If that’s the case, then the Zero Civilization is the one that survived the Abyss invasion the longest.
In other words, the earliest appearance of the Abyss can be traced back to 16,000 years ago.
This predates any recorded history of human civilization.
...
As the Reincarnation Source Material took effect, the environment of the Ecological Ball began to reverse over time.
Weathered rocks started to restore, and dead plants began to resurrect.
The upward-growing plants began to shrink.
Dead Star Realm Merchants began to revive, one, two, three...
Azik watched his tribe being resurrected one by one, tears welling up in his eyes.
The resurrected Star Realm Merchants didn’t know what had happened but understood something changed within the tribe.
"Azik..."
The leader of the resurrected Star Realm Merchants looked at Azik, who was quite different from his memory, and showed a puzzled expression.
Azik extended his luminous tentacles and touched antennae with the tribe leader.
In just a few seconds, the experiences were communicated completely.
The Star Realm Merchant leader, upon learning of the situation, bowed toward Lu Heng and then led the tribe to retreat.
The number of the Star Realm Merchants was not as many as imagined, roughly more than three hundred individuals.
As the caliber of the Star Realm Merchant Civilization was high, these three hundred plus Star Realm Merchants were of high level.
Under the leader’s guidance, they began their charge outward.
Just at that moment.
The ground trembled, the Slime Lake below surged up, and the surrounding cave walls twisted inward, pressing.
The cave walls crushed downward, in the blink of an eye, smashing half of the revived Ecological Ball.
Lu Heng’s eyes narrowed as he pulled out the Aurora Blade and sliced into the cave wall with one stroke.
At the break in the cave wall, reeky slime oozed out.
Only then did Lu Heng realize that this underground space was a living entity.
Immediately after, giant tentacles shot up from the surging Slime Lake, entangling the Star Realm Merchants and dragging them into the slime.
The slime’s corrosiveness was intense, and the Star Realm Merchants it touched would quickly be corroded into a pool of blood.
Lu Heng swung his sword, severing the tentacles, saving one Star Realm Merchant, and shouted, "Something’s not right. This place seems to be... the stomach of an Abyssal Giant Beast!"
Being inside this space, one simply couldn’t distinguish what it was; only that the surrounding cave walls were alive, and tentacles would shoot up from the Slime Lake below.
In such a bizarre environment, one couldn’t understand what was happening.
The reason Lu Heng realized it was the stomach of an Abyssal Giant Beast was that the entire Demon Nest Cave had started vibrating.
The ground cracked open with many openings, which were the wide-open mouths of the Abyssal Giant Beast, like giant Cannibal Flowers.
Countless tentacles shot out from the mouths, dragging Superpower Users into them.
The entire Abyss Demon Nest was actually the nest of this Abyssal Giant Beast, with the ground beneath being the beast’s skin.
The rough skin was covered with rocks, making it indiscernible.
And the Demon Nest Cave was the Abyssal Giant Beast’s esophagus, with the Slime Lake being its stomach.
Only outside the Abyss Demon Nest could one realize this.
Su Muyu was the first to discover the awakening of the Abyssal Giant Beast, letting out a cry of alarm, alerting Lu Heng’s duplicate.
Only then did Lu Heng realize the location was the stomach of the Abyssal Giant Beast, and the Slime Lake below was the giant beast’s gastric juice.
Roar!
Hundreds of mouths opened, and the Abyssal Giant Beast began to prey, with the shooting tentacles indiscriminately consuming any creature within sight.
Even those captive Abyss Demons became its food as well.
"Quickly, leave here!"
Lu Heng turned to Azik, asking, "You’ve planned for so long, don’t you have any other contingencies?"
Azik had been planning for so long, wanting to save his tribe, and must have prepared a way to escape from the Abyss Demon Nest; otherwise, resurrecting these Star Realm Merchants was just letting them taste death again.
"I do." Azik raised his arm, releasing a wave of space energy.
The next instant, the space underwent a violent tremor, and a conical object broke through space, crashing into the Slime Lake from Outer Space.
The conical object’s part piercing through the space grew longer, reaching two hundred meters in length and thirty meters in diameter at its widest, resembling a battleship’s ram.
The Star Realm Merchant leader waved a big hand and commanded, "Board the ship!"
Over three hundred Star Realm Merchants rushed forth, squeezing into the Star Realm Merchant Ship through the hole in the ram.
Azik stayed behind and asked, "Will you come with us?"
"Azik! Hurry!" The voice of the Star Realm Merchant leader came from the ram.
"I still have companions here. You go ahead." Lu Heng waved him onwards.
Azik, without hesitation, turned and leaped into the ram.
The ram of the Star Realm Merchant Ship began retracting, retreating into the Star Realm fissure.
Roar!
The Abyssal Giant Beast let out a roar, and giant tentacles pierced through the space membrane, extending into the Star Realm fissure, winding around the Star Realm Merchants, ready to drag this Star Realm Merchant Ship into its stomach.
Seeing this scene, Lu Heng was very surprised.
The tentacles released by the Abyssal Giant Beast could even penetrate space barriers.
The kilometer-long Star Realm Merchant Ship was entangled by dozens of massive tentacles, struggling to break free.
Upon seeing this, Lu Heng could already imagine how the Ecological Ball submerged in the Slime Lake ended up there.
This Abyssal Giant Beast was a spatial predator lurking within the nest, preying not only on the creatures inside the nest but also on those in Outer Space.
The Ecological Ball of the Star Realm Merchants must have drifted near the Outer Space of the Abyss Demon Nest and then pulled in by the tentacles extended by the Abyssal Giant Beast.
The Star Realm Merchants must have initially wanted to resist, but by the time they realized the dire straits, it was already too late to escape.
In the end, only two Star Realm Merchants escaped with their lives.
