From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon-Chapter 191: Struggles

Junji walked us through a few different things with her before we were finally able to leave the shop. It was mostly just basics with how to operate her and do maintenance as needed.

But the walk back with...mom, yeah that was a bit rough.

I never expected Dad to do something like this for us, especially before he passed away. It is quite an amazing last gift to receive from him before figuring out the rest of our lives.

Minami never said much about it but apparently he left us some money as well which is why she has been able to pursue school still.

I’d like to figure out some more stuff with mechanics so that I can be useful to her in the future. Maybe even become a junker, they make some decent money around here.

Scrapping things for a living so other people don’t have to deal with the garbage all the time.

I also like the idea of keeping stuff that other people won’t be able to use anyway. I can probably make some cool stuff with it or modify some ideas I have.

At least that’d be the plan if I ever learn how to actually do everything.

"Rokuro we’re home. Isn’t it nice to come back home with...mom." Minami says with some relief in her voice.

"Yeah." I manage to reply.

I could feel the emotions wanting to pour out but it still wasn’t the same mom that we always knew. It was just a replica of her within a cyborg.

Minami opened up the door and we all went inside after that.

"The house seems a bit messy, I’ll clean everything up for you two." Mom says before walking past us both.

She did give us hugs back at the shop and is apparently programmed to be a lot like her but I don’t know. I’m a kid with very little knowledge of how all those things work. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

I looked into a lot of different things with them but that was about it.

"Go and enjoy yourself Rokuro. I’m going to get some stuff done." Minami says before giving me a pat on the head.

With that I made it up to my room while the cyborg mom started doing the cleaning in the rest of the house. Minami was definitely processing it quite harshly but I couldn’t blame her.

Minami really did do everything after the two of them passed away so it hasn’t been easy for us. The struggles that we dealt with up until this point.

I’m only 7 years old and I can see everything she’s been doing for me. Her school studies were even behind for the longest time until now.

This could be the opportunity she was waiting for after all these years of watching over me. I definitely feel like a smart kid with the way I think about all of this stuff.

But it was nice to be back in my room again after a long day out and about. I opened up some of the mechanics for dummies books again since these were kid friendly.

A lot of them were for kids my age to mess around with and learn. Other ones I couldn’t understand since I wasn’t at that level of learning yet.

The rest of my day was spent learning about the different ways I could put back together a tiny little toy robot. It came with the mechanics for dummies guide book.

It was definitely a fun way to pass the time while learning something new for the day.

"Rokuro it is time for bed. I just noticed the time." Minami says as she opens the door.

"Where’s Mom?" I ask with a curious tone.

"Downstairs charging I believe. But you have school to deal with tomorrow." Minami responds with a smile.

"Don’t you have school as well?" I question.

"Yes silly. We’ll be going together so I’ll drop you off on the way before going to my classes." Minami answers with a bit of happiness in her voice.

"Okay. I’ll get ready for bed then." I say before climbing into bed.

My bed was comfortable for the most part. The sheets were nice, my blankets were soft, and I had perfect comfort with everything. Minami also always tucked me in before bed which was nice.

"Get some sleep. I’ll be up to get you in the morning." Minami speaks with a smile.

She ruffles my hair a bit before leaving my room for the night. Afterwards I fell asleep pretty quick which was how it always went for me.

Dozing off as if everything around me was perfectly okay with no issues in the slightest. This was how it always was for me.

A Few hours go by.

I jolted awake in my bed, it almost felt as if something bad was happening. I didn’t even realize it at first but the sun still wasn’t up yet.

So I quickly turn to see what my clock says and it was only 2:00 AM, why am I awake right now?

It would probably be better if I tried to go back to sleep since it is extremely late. I just wish I knew why I woke up like this all of a sudden.

I’m not even sure that I was dreaming before I woke up in the first place which is the weirdest part about it all. I also feel a bit of panic in my body which is even weirder since I don’t see anything wrong.

I wipe my eyes before laying back down on my bed, looking up at the ceiling. The thoughts slowly start to disappear as I finally fall back asleep.

Only confusion was left with me after the sudden wake up and the weird feeling of panic. But regardless I managed to fall back asleep.

I jolted up once again but this time everything around me was completely surrounded by darkness. What?
