From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon-Chapter 187: Preparation for The Demon Realms
A few days went by since Ghost told us about her past a bit and Akina explained a bit about why she just disappeared with the girls. It was still kind of an eiffy excuse in my mind but I’ll let it go for now.
I was back to sharing my bed with Lilly, Ghost, and Aria. The others weren’t really at that point just yet but it was nice to have that kind of warmth again.
It definitely made it easier to wake up from the abyss if things ever did feel bad.
Yet, here I am again. Standing within the abyss.
Darkness all around me with no sign of anyone or anything. I wasn’t sitting on my throne this time... I could see everything ahead of me though.
"It doesn’t hurt to stand from that throne." Rika speaks up.
"I forgot that I can see you here. I’m just surprised, that’s all. Usually I’ve been sitting on the throne." I respond with a bit of shock in my voice.
"It still belongs to you but maybe you should explore the abyss more." Rika suggests with a laid back tone.
I never really thought about exploring the abyss before, maybe it would be a good idea to actually check the place out more. Especially since a whole Kingdom seems to be around me now.
Checking it out wouldn’t be the end of the world either.
I decided to listen to what Rika suggested and start to look around. The place was huge with lots of different buildings, shops, and even some giant water fountain in the center of the city.
Bringing life back to this place would definitely be pretty nice to do. The water seems to be normal in the fountain too.
"Didn’t expect to see normal water in the abyss, did you?" Rika questions.
"Not at all. This place has a lot of mysteries, a lot that I haven’t unraveled." I answer while sitting on the edge of the fountain.
I put my hand in the water and let it flow off of my hand for a few moments. Repeating the process a few times to see if it was just something I made up.
It was all real but I couldn’t understand the meaning of seeing it all now. I mean the actual kingdom was always behind the door in the throne room.
I never once saw past the doors so this being here now like this is surprising.
"The abyss definitely has quite an interesting connection to everything. Other worlds." Rika says softly.
After that I could see someone in the reflection of the water. A Tall, lean/muscular man. His long white hair goes down his back and almost reaches his hips, his eyes are completely black, his irises are black as well. He wears gray pants with a black turtleneck.
Was this the connection to another world that Rika was talking about?
The connections to the other worlds could be quite important down the road. Maybe that will be the best way to rebuild the Kingdom within the abyss itself.
Bringing people here from the other worlds to bring back life would be nice.
It would also be easier than trying to bring people from my world alone. I don’t need to focus on it right this second but it is a good goal down the road.
The monarchs take priority for the time being so I can save my current world from any more chaos.
"You should probably wake up since you have stuff to prepare for the journey." Rika says, Interrupting my thoughts while putting her hand on my shoulder to get my attention.
"Right. I forgot that we have some preparations to make." I reply while standing up from the fountain.
That guy I saw in the fountain, I wonder how strong he is. There has to be a reason he was shown to me all of a sudden. Everything has been shown to me over time with a reason behind it.
I just haven’t figured it out quite yet.
After a moment I woke up within my bed once again, Ghost laying on my left, Lilly on the right, and Aria was also on the left. Down a little bit but enough to notice her.
I definitely did miss having them in bed with me like this every time we slept, it was quite lonely in the tower. Going to sleep by myself every single night was killing me.
That feeling of loneliness is something I don’t really want to experience again.
I dealt with it enough when Minami died so I’d like to avoid it as much as possible. I also enjoy having them by my side on these journeys as well.
They are quite strong and give me a different perspective on the world. Even if it doesn’t always feel that way.
But I made my way out of the bed while trying not to wake them up since it was kind of early. The sun was just barely shining into the room, giving me enough light to see my way around.
It was definitely interesting to be back in the shop for the last few days, but Akina made everything look a lot better.
I appreciate it quite a bit, just it definitely doesn’t feel like it used to here. Who was I to complain about a nice place to live though?
After getting dressed I made my way out into the main room where Akina was preparing some mini backpacks for us to take with us.
"I got some food sorted into these backpacks for you guys and some beds. Oh! I also have these tiny capsules that’ll help with camps and even have food to provide too." Akina says with some excitement.
"Thank you Akina. I appreciate you helping us with this. It saves us a lot of time when it comes to figuring out what to eat or how much stuff we need for camps." I reply with an appreciative tone.
"Of course Rokuro. I don’t mind helping out in the slightest." Akina says genuinely.
