From A Producer To A Global Superstar-Chapter 307: Let Head Roll
They posted the video.
It went up quietly at first, like any normal upload. Nothing spectacular Just a clean title, a short description, and the clip.
Dayo sat in his living room with Min-Jae, both of them leaning toward the TV screen like two students waiting for results.
The first few minutes were slow. A few thousand views. Some likes. A couple of comments.
Then it started climbing.
Five minutes later, someone clipped the street food part and reposted it on X.
Ten minutes later, a fan page posted the hospital bill moment with the caption: "Even if you hate him, people ate today."
Twenty minutes later, Korean forums picked it up.
Thirty minutes later, it was in international spaces.
Min-Jae glanced at Dayo. "You satisfied now?"
Dayo didn’t answer immediately. He was watching the comments scroll like a live feed. He wasn’t smiling, but his face looked calmer than it had been in days.
"It’s moving," he said.
"It’ll move," Min-Jae replied. "You’re not a small name, even with all the nonsense you’re JD the artist that broke the most sold album in a week and and the fifth most followed person on YouTube."
Dayo nodded once, still watching like he already knew.
Until Min-Jae knocked his head and shouted. "YAH I just praised you and you’re acting non chalant."
Dayio looked at Min-Jae and laughed hard. "I knew you would fall for it. "
Min-Jae just shook his head and laugh along side Dayo.
The comment section turned into a battlefield almost immediately.
Some people were happy.
Some people were suspicious.
Some people didn’t care about the reason and only cared that food and money reached the right places and people.
And then the old clip came back, like a stubborn sickness.
At first it was small. A few accounts reposting it. A few people quoting it under the charity video.
Then Virex CEO saw that Dayo’s name was getting clean and gave a simple order "pushed it harder."
The timing was too clean to be coincidence. One minute the charity video is trending, the next minute the fake bullying clip starts showing up again under every repost.
Even the PR staff noticed it.
Messages started hitting the group chat created for this whole situation.
Eun-seo: They’re pushing the clip again. With the same pattern and account.
Ji-hoon: They’re replying to every post with it. Like bots.
Soo-jin: People are arguing in the comments. US fans vs Korean fans.
Min-Jae leaned over and read the chat. "Of course they’re pushing it. They don’t have anything else."
Dayo finally put his phone down and exhaled.
"Let them," he said.
Min-Jae looked at him. "You sure?"
Dayo nodded. "They’ll push too hard. That’s what I need them to do like i always say its free promotion."
Min-Jae didn’t fully like that answer, but he understood it. And knew Dayo was right.
The comments kept piling up.
Under the charity video, a US fan wrote:
"I’ve followed Dayo for years. He’s always been like this. He just doesn’t post everything."
A Korean comment replied almost immediately:
"If he’s so kind, why did the bullying video exist?"
Another reply came:
"Because people edit clips. It’s not new."
Then another Korean comment:
"You foreigners always defend him because you don’t live here. In Korea, we saw what he did."
A US fan snapped back:
"You saw a clip. That’s not the same as living the truth."
Another comment cut through the noise:
"Even if it’s PR, those vendors got paid and people got food. So what are we fighting about?"
That one got thousands of likes in minutes.
Still, the arguments didn’t stop. They only evolved.
Some people started focusing on Min-Jae.
"CEO Min-Jae is the real angel."
"Min-Jae is using his money to cover JD scandals."
"Min-Jae always does charity, so this is normal."
"Who is the guy with him? Why does he look familiar?"
That last question came again and again.
Some people recognized Dayo from music spaces. Others only knew him as the man attached to the controversy. A few knew him as the person behind the upcoming movie, but most of them were still processing that idea.
Because the movie date had already entered the public space.
One week remaining of the Six.
That announcement alone had made people restless. Some were excited. Some were complaining it was too early. Others were predicting it would flop. Others were praying it would be good because the cast list looked solid.
Now with the charity video blowing up, the movie got dragged into the conversation too.
"He’s doing this because the movie is coming."
"He’s trying to clean his name before release."
"Even if he’s cleaning his name, he’s using his money for good, so I don’t care."
"What if the movie is actually good and they tried to ruin him early?"
"Or what if the movie is trash and this is distraction?"
Dayo stared at that one for a long time.
Min-Jae noticed. "Don’t even start."
Dayo looked at him. "I’m not starting anything."
"You’re thinking too loud."
Dayo gave a small laugh. "Since when do you read minds?"
Min-Jae pointed at him. "Since you started living in studios like a ghost."
Dayo didn’t deny it.
His phone buzzed again.
It was PR head.
PR Staff: Sir, it’s getting messy. The fake clip is trending again. People are pushing it under every repost.
Dayo typed a short reply.
Dayo: Don’t respond let wait for the stream.
A few seconds passed.
PR Staff: Okay. But they’re calling it a cover-up.
Dayo answered.
Dayo: Give it a few hours. They’ll regret it.
Min-Jae watched him type, then leaned back. "So the live is today."
"Yes," Dayo said.
Min-Jae looked at the TV again. "You sure we’re not rushing it?"
Dayo didn’t look away. "If we wait, they control the week. The movie is close. I’m not giving them that time."
Min-Jae nodded slowly. "Alright. Then let’s move."
They went back to the label.
Instead, Dayo set it up like a control operation.
A small monitoring room inside JD Label. Screens on the wall. Laptops on the table. A live dashboard showing names, locations, viewer count, and status bars.
Min-Jae sat with him. Two PR staff. One legal staff. One tech guy handling stream stability.
On the dashboard, boxes were labeled:
Park Hyung — Main stream
Yura — Secondary stream
Tae-woo & Go-da — Duo stream
Ji-hoon — Artist stream
Eun-seo — Actress stream
There were more....
Green dots beside each name.
Ready.
Dayo checked the timer. "Five minutes."
Min-Jae leaned back. "Everybody’s in position?"
They all answered.
One box flickered slightly. Yura’s camera angle adjusted. She looked calm, but you could tell she was nervous by how still she was sitting.
Another box showed Park Hyung fixing his collar and checking the pinned messages.
Dayo tapped his phone and sent one broadcast message to the group:
"We go live now. Stick to the plan. Short words no names and no need to reply just say yoir piece and leave the rest."
Min-Jae looked at the big screen. "Start it."
The tech guy clicked.
Park Hyung’s stream went live first.
A second later, the other streams followed. One by one, the green dots changed into moving view counts.
Ten thousand.
Twenty thousand.
Thirty.
The numbers climbed fast like people had been waiting.
Comments started pouring in immediately, rolling too fast to read one by one. The PR staff switched on slow mode, but it barely helped.
On Park Hyung’s stream, the first wave looked like this:
"SHOW THE PROOF THEN!!!"
"PR STUNT 😂"
"If this is another fake apology I’m done."
"Why are ALL JD artists going live?"
"This is serious... they don’t do this normally." "DROP THE ORIGINAL VIDEO NOW."
"Is the movie still coming out or not?" "They’re trying to distract us with charity." "Wait... why does that guy in the leak chain look like Virex assistant?"
That last one came again.
And again.
Same idea, different accounts. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
In Yura’s stream, the comments were softer but still sharp:
"Yura looks stressed... what’s going on?" "Please don’t lie for the label." "If this video was fake, why didn’t you clear it earlier?"
"I don’t care, just prove it."
"That face... I swear I’ve seen him with Virex CEO before."
Back in the monitoring room, Dayo’s eyes stayed steady.
He didn’t talk. He just watched the pattern.
Min-Jae leaned forward. "They’re already saying it."
Dayo nodded once. "Good."
On the main stream, Park Hyung started speaking. Calm voice. No drama.
He greeted them."Hello guys I am not here to argue but to show proof."
Then he played the fake clip for a few seconds.
The comments went crazy.
"SEE THAT! THAT’S THE VIDEO!"
"HE DID IT!" "WHY ARE YOU REPLAYING IT???" "STOP TALKING AND PROVE SOMETHING."
Park Hyung stopped the clip quickly and shared his screen.
He open an AI checker tool opened.
He ran the fake clip.
Result popped up.
High probability of manipulation.
He opened a second tool.
Same result.
The comments slowed for the first time, like people were forced to actually watch.
"Wait..."
"Hold on..."
"Is that real?"
"Run it again."
"Do the original then."
"Nah, tools can be faked."
"But why would they risk showing this live if it’s fake?"
Park Hyung didn’t celebrate.
He just said, "Now let me show you all the original."
He played it.
He ran the checker again.
No AI manipulation detected.
On the dashboard, Dayo watched the reaction hit in real time. View count jumped again like people were sharing it out of shock.
The comment section shifted hard.
"SO DIRECTOR DAYO WAS BEING FRAMED."
"So this whole time...?"
"Virex is behind this?"
"LOOK AT THE ASSISTANT FACE AGAIN!"
"That guy looks like Virex CEO assistant no joke." "JD LABEL CAME PREPARED."
"I take back what I said... this is proof."
"But if they had evidence why did they not release."
"Where is the person that leaked it?"
Min-Jae looked at Dayo. "Still no names?"
Dayo replied, simple. "No names."
He nodded at the PR staff. "Pin the AI results. Pin the original clip timestamp. That’s all."
The PR staff did it immediately.
On the wall of screens, Yura’s stream she did the same thing with the same result showing it was AI related. But She didn’t say much. She didn’t need to.
The results were already glaring enough.
In another box, Tae-woo whispered to Go-da, both of them staring at the comments like they couldn’t believe how fast the crowd was switching sides.
Dayo leaned back in his chair, calm.
"Now let the heads roll," he said.
