Fortunate to Have You This Lifetime-Chapter 943 - Still at _1

Chapter 943: Chapter 943 Still at _1
Zack Wallace was momentarily startled and turned to look at Alexander Summers.
Alexander Summers’s expression was calm, without a ripple.
The elevator doors slowly closed, isolating the inside from the outside, and it seemed as if it also isolated Alexander Summers from that last thread of connection with the world of the Howard Family.
“After Damian Howard’s death, the Howard Family is likely to be in chaos for a while,” Alexander said expressionlessly. “You stay in Clearwater and recruit some people. Tell them that Entertainment City near Parrotbeak Bay is about to be completed, and they’re desperately short of staff. Money is no issue as long as they’re willing to go.”
People are the foundation of a family, and with this move, Alexander could be said to be taking advantage of the situation, swallowing half of the Howard Family’s territory.
But in business, there was never much sentiment to speak of in the first place.
Moreover, the person who had risked his life to save Alexander time and again, no longer existed in this world. He had ceased to exist the moment Alexander awoke.
…
The group left the hospital, and Alexander got into the car.
The doll lay quietly on the backseat of the car.
Alexander picked it up, naturally placing it on his lap, and casually straightened the doll’s hair.
“Where do you want to go now?” Alexander asked. “Back to that hospital, or somewhere else to play?”
Zack Wallace turned his head, politely saying, “Master, I’m not in a rush to play. I can take you back first…”
“Was I talking to you?” Alexander said with an unfriendly glance.
Zack Wallace froze, somewhat dumbfounded.
Apart from Alexander in the car, there were only he and the driver. Could Master Xander be talking to the driver?
Zack Wallace looked puzzledly at the doll in Alexander’s hands…
…Where did it come from?
Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.
The craftsmanship was exquisite; it was dressed in little shoes, little clothes, and beneath the hem of the skirt, little panties.
Zack Wallace blurted out, “The doll is even wearing panties.”
Alexander’s face instantly darkened, and his eyes became extremely fierce, “Keep looking, and believe it or not, I’ll gouge out your eyes!”
Zack Wallace was terrified, immediately retracting his head, his heart in turmoil: What’s going on?!
The look from earlier was as if he wanted to slaughter him!
Back in the rear seats, Alexander was still talking, but his tone was much gentler, “It’s boring to stay in the hospital, let’s take you out for a spin.”
Zack Wallace: Holy shit, holy shit! Has Master Xander been possessed?!
While his mind was in disarray, Alexander had already given an instruction, “To the movie theater.”
Alexander felt that Purple Summers being stuck in the hospital was too boring. Watching him sick all the time must be distressing for her, so it would be better to take her out for a breath of fresh air.
But with the summer heatwave, there weren’t many suitable places for leisure. Taking into account the preferences of ghosts for cool environments, Alexander took Purple Summers to a movie theater, a place that was pitch-dark, presumably suitable.
Alexander rented out the entire VIP screening room in the movie theater, and they screened a romantic comedy.
Alexander placed the doll on his shoulder, and then propped up his long legs and closed his eyes to doze off.
He slept until the movie was over.
The doll sat on his shoulder the entire time, without moving a thread. Alexander took it down, a taste in his heart that he couldn’t describe – it was like loss, yet also like wandering.
“Did you enjoy the movie?” Alexander asked the doll in his hand. “How was the ending? If it was good, blink an eye?”
After waiting for a moment and seeing no movement from the doll, Alexander felt a mix of laughter and tears. Had he gone mad?
He held the doll and walked out of the screening room, and on his way out, he passed a row of claw machines twinkling with colored lights.
The doll in his arms suddenly moved.
Alexander stopped in his tracks, looking down in astonishment – it really did move, its small hand tightly gripping his thumb!
“You… want to play this?” Alexander said in surprise, looking up at the claw machine in front of him.
This time, the doll nodded its head.
Alexander’s heart suddenly softened and felt reassured.
She was still by his side.
“Alright, then I’ll stay and play with you for a while,” Alexander said with a smile, gently touching the doll’s face.
