Chapter 878 -878 Nonsense_1

Zack Wallace explained to Purple Summers that Alexander Summers had been seriously injured in the explosion and had been unconscious for over a month. When he finally woke up, he couldn’t recognize anybody, not even recalling his own name.

The doctor said it was a post-concussion syndrome and that it would gradually improve.

Zack Wallace also thought the problem wasn’t severe; it was merely amnesia, not a turn into mental retardation. He believed that if he could explain the situation to Alexander Summers and take over the remaining power, they could make a new start in Pearlpoint City.

Zack Wallace was optimistic about this and even arranged for someone to send specialty goods from overseas to Atra Blanc to help Alexander Summers wrap things up.

As time passed, Alexander Summers’s health slowly recovered, and some of his memory came back, but Zack Wallace began to sense that something was wrong.

Because Alexander Summers’s memories didn’t match the facts Zack Wallace knew. For example: It was true that Damian Howard became vegetative trying to save Alexander, but in Alexander’s memory, Howard died trying to save him!

If Alexander Summers couldn’t remember anything at all, that would be one thing, but his memories were incorrect, which made Zack Wallace extremely nervous, fearing damage to Alexander’s brain.

Zack Wallace rushed to find a doctor, and the doctor suggested that it might be a memory disorder caused by psychological stress and that treatment would likely require a psychiatrist.

Alexander Summers almost killed Zack Wallace when he found out.

Seeing a psychiatrist would, undoubtedly, mean admitting he had a mental illness.

That’s unacceptable to anyone.

Alexander Summers, with his arrogant pride, could accept it even less!

The constant questioning pushed his patience to the limit. Zack Wallace kept telling him, he remembered this wrong, that wrong, as if he had Alzheimer’s disease. Alexander Summers was consumed by anger, sick and tired of it, and several times nearly shot Zack Wallace dead.

He wanted to prove he was right, that his memory was real and currently existing. There was a house in his memories, his woman waiting for him there.

Alexander Summers wanted to return to Clearwater.

Zack Wallace was at his wits’ end; Alexander had forgotten everything about the Summers family, not even remembering Damian Howard was still alive. Going back like this was too dangerous!

But Zack Wallace couldn’t stop Alexander, powerless despite his willingness!

“Master Xander doesn’t remember anything anymore, nor does he trust me like he used to,” Zack Wallace sighed. “Miss, if you see Master Xander, you must persuade him…”

Purple Summers was completely bewildered.

She stood dumbfounded, holding her phone, her mind a blank and at a loss for what to think.

If Alexander Summers had amnesia, then… then why did he kiss her the moment he walked through the door, and roll in bed with her as soon as he saw her… What, what did it mean?

“What are you dazing out on?” Alexander Summers walked over carrying a few pomegranates, noticing Purple Summers holding her phone in a daze, his eyebrows knitting together, “Whose call is it?”

His voice was low and not very loud, but it was overheard by Zack Wallace on the other end of the phone.

Zack Wallace, startled, shrieked in a more shrill voice, “Master Xander?! ——”

Alexander Summers’s brow furrowed deeply as he snatched Purple Summers’s phone without a word and hung up the call.

“Don’t listen to his nonsense,” Alexander Summers said.

Purple Summers looked at him and murmured, “Zack Wallace, he said you… had amnesia…”

Alexander Summers was irritable. He set the pomegranates aside, grasped Purple Summers’s shoulders, and looked her straight in the eyes, “After the injury, my memory did have some issues, but I don’t have amnesia, understand? Zack Wallace is just exaggerating!”

Purple Summers was uncertain whether to believe Alexander Summers or Zack Wallace.

The Alexander Summers before her, handsome, wicked, aggressive, seemed no different from before, showing no signs of amnesia.

“It’s just that my memory’s gotten worse because of the injury, not amnesia,” Alexander Summers said as he caressed her head and then leaned down to kiss her, “Come on, let’s go pay.”

Purple Summers followed him in silence, her mind drifting to another matter.

When she mentioned that her mother was missing, Alexander Summers had no reaction at all…
