Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 254: The era of Destruction
Amelia’s POV:
Theo has never been very easy to deal with. For the years, the Siren Queen has tried hard to tame the stubborn trickster—but he always tends to follow his heart no matter what happens. And right now, his heart is with Celestia, and he is following her!
Unlike the Siren Queen, I always liked to see Theo and Celestia together. Theo is a tough guy when he is alone, but with Celestia, he turns into an entirely opposite version of himself.
Right now, Theo is in the form of stubbornness—as Celestia is not with him. Apparently, Ivory has aided her in escaping. She made a very bad mistake by triggering his wrath. Now Theo has entirely lost his sanity.
He is refusing to speak with anyone other than me, and he is on a quest to burn down the entire Ashland! The Siren Queen instructed me to change his mind, but how can I do that? The only person who can tame him is Celestia, and Ivory had to let her escape!
I went to the Sapphire castle to meet up with the Siren Queen. Since Theo has been staying in my place for this long, I am obligated to act as a messenger between Cynthia and Theo.
Cynthia’s chamber door was opened when I got in there, but I didn’t dare to get in her chamber without her approval. The silver blonde-haired Queen was seated on her desk chair that was right next to the window of her room. She had her eyes fixed on the book that was probably some mortal fiction.
I waited and waited outside her chamber for a long time without making a noise. Since we both are gifted Sirens, it is impossible for both of us to sense the presence of each other even when we are so close to each other.
After a while, she eventually closed her book and got up from her chair. She shuddered a little when she glanced at me." When did you get here, Amelia?" she asked me.
"I came here just now," I replied politely.
Her long blue gown almost swept the floor when she moved a little away from her chair. She looked gorgeous even though she didn’t have her usual make-up on.
"Are you planning to stay outside my chamber forever?! Just get inside, Amelia," she yelled at me.
She seems to be in a sour mood today! May the Moon Goddess save me from her wrath! I stepped into her chamber hesitantly.
"So, how is Theo now? Is he doing well?" she asked me.
"No, he is not doing good," I answered. "He is going insane without her!"
Cynthia let out a sigh and shook her head. "What am I going to do with that boy? If he had at least once listened to me, then he would not have become insane—"
"My Queen," I breathed out. "Please don’t mistake me for saying this! But I think that you are the one who should listen to Theo."
Her gaze got intense. "What do you mean by that?"
"I am just saying that Theo is lost without her. We should have let him reunite with Celestia instead of separating them—"
"Amelia, are you out of your goddamn mind? If Theo reunites with that Fae girl, then....," she paused and hesitated to continue.
"Then what, my queen?" I asked her skeptically.
"If they both reunite, then the era of the destruction begins—"
I didn’t know what the destruction era was. But judging from the sound of it, I think that it is not going to be good.
"What is the destruction era? Is it some kind of prophecy?!"
"Not exactly," she sighed and turned away from me while she continued to talk. "You might be aware of the creation era and medieval era, aren’t you?"
"Yes, I do," I replied eagerly. "And now we are in the modern era!"
"Exactly! And just like that, the manuscripts say that there will be a destruction era."
I got scared to my bones as I heard what she said. Cynthia was now standing near the window, and she had her eyes on the deep blue sea that was outside.
I paced towards her and asked her, "But what exactly can happen in the destruction era? Will we all be dead?!"
The Queen shook her head again. "The destruction era is a time of challenge for the creatures of the light. The prophecy says that a Shadow creature who is considered as weak and exiled by his own land for treason will eventually gain incredible dark powers, and he will emerge as the biggest threat to the entire Celestial realm—"
Who is considered weak and exiled from his own land?! I have a lot of friends in the Shadowland, but still, I couldn’t figure out the one who matched the description of her prophecy.
"My Queen," I blurted out after thinking for a long time. "So the era of darkness will emerge just because of this one Shadow creature?!" I questioned her, to which she just nodded.
"If that is the case, then I believe that Theo can defeat that Shadow creature easily. An Anti-Angel can defeat all the dark forces—"
She immediately turned to me and shouted out, "Amelia, you don’t understand the seriousness. This prophecy has been around in the manuscripts for centuries, and our ancestors had warned us all specifically about this thing!"
"But what exactly is going to happen, and what are going to be his powers?"
"I don’t know," she breathed out. "That is still a mystery to everyone! Even though Theo is an Anti-Angel, we can’t take our chances against this dark prophecy. And all of this happens only after Theo and Celestia reunite with each other—"
So this is what she must have seen in her vision. Cynthia had this dark vision days ago, but she didn’t say about it to others entirely. It was like she was scared of that vision, and now I can see the reason for that.
