Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 196: Help the Damsel in Distress

Aaron’s POV:

I really hate it when I am about to do something important, and people interrupt me. Miranda held my arm firmly, and she refused to let me go.

"What do you want, Miranda? Why are you stopping me?"

"Because what you are about to do is so stupid! You can’t give up your life like this?"

"Why do you think that I am giving up my life? I am just getting into the abyss of torment and coming out as an Anti-Angel."

She immediately let go of my arm and frowned at me. Then she started to laugh out loud. "Do you seriously think that you can come out of the abyss alive?"

"Yes, I can," I said confidently. "I can come out of the abyss alive!"

"No, you can’t," she controlled her chuckle and said. "What do you think of yourself? Do you think that you are the Silver Shadow? You are definitely not powerful like him. You are a creature of lust!"

My ex-lover was mocking me just like Lilin did. Is this what girls think of me? Am I nothing more than a piece of meat for them to use and throw away? But I am much more than just a creature of lust.

"I can become powerful if I try," I defended myself to her.

"Yes! And I too can become the Dawn and acquire Angelic powers," she chuckled.

"Stop insulting me, Miranda!" I roared out as the anger took over me. "You can’t offend me like this."

She sighed deeply and said," Whatever I said to you is the truth. You and I are creatures of lust. That is the only power we have! Just tell me, would you be able to blast silver or red flames from your hand? Or have you ever picked up a weapon in your life before?"

I shook my head to her questions and lowered my gaze down on the ground.

"Have you ever killed someone before? And don’t count the one where we kill the prey by having intercourse with them all day."

She was right! I have never killed anyone before. Nor did I ever get into a fight with anyone. All I ever did so far was just have sex with random girls in all three realms.

"Now answer me, Aaron! How do you expect to survive the abyss of torment? Or, if you are thinking about sleeping with the Nephilim clan, then I would like to inform you that it is not going to happen. If you offer something to the Anti-Angels, then they are going to kill you on the spot."

"Miranda! Just stop talking now," I yelled at her.

"Then change your mind about jumping into the water! Accept that you will be just killing yourself if you do something like that."

"Fine! Then tell me, how else can I win Lilin back? I love her so much, and I want her back. How will she acknowledge me if I am just a lusty creature?"

She fell silent after that and gave me a pity glare. "I am sorry, Aaron. But I think that it would be best for you if you just forget her."

My younger brother Anakin threw me a party in the banquet hall of the castle. He thinks that I should celebrate as I am finally free from commitments. But how can I tell him that all I wanted was commitment!

I sat down in the corner of the banquet hall with a drink in my hand and watched everyone enjoying the party. Anakin told me that it was going to be a small party with very few Succubus girls alone. But now, the entire hall was crowded.

This is the nature of Ashlanders! When someone says party, then the news spreads like wildfire to everyone else—and they gather at the spot immediately.

The Succubus girls were dressed elegantly in a tight and short gown that showed off their attractive curves. Many of them tried to talk to me today. But I rejected all of their offers!

The girls are pretty, but I am not interested in speaking with any of them! My mind was still thinking about Lilin. I filled myself up with the wine and hoped that it would heal the wounds.

Anakin came to my spot after some time and said," Brother! Are you seriously going to stay here and do nothing? This is a party! You are supposed to enjoy it."

"No," I shook my head. "I don’t want to enjoy. I want Lilin back!"

He rolled his eyes at me and sat beside the empty chair that was next to mine.

"So you have fallen for her very badly, haven’t you?" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

I nodded, but I didn’t give him a reply. Even saying something about Lilin hurt me so much. Why am I still feeling hurt? Perhaps I need more wine to heal myself!

I picked up the large glass bottle of wine that was on the ground beside me and refilled my glass. Just when I was about to drink the wine, my brother forcefully grabbed the glass from my hand.

I got so annoyed—as I was already in so much pain. Ever since he was a kid, he always does things like this to annoy me.

"Anakin! Give my glass back to me."

"No, brother. You don’t need this! All you need is Lilin. And you won’t get her back if you keep on drinking."

"Then what am I supposed to do? Keep on pleading with her to take me back?"

"Not exactly," he smiled. "You know, when we were in the mortal realm, we used to impress girls by helping them. If you help a damsel in distress, then she will come running back to your arms. Why don’t you try something like Lilin?"

For the first time, my useless brother said something useful to me. The quest in which Lilin is on must not be an easy one! She would definitely need some aid. All I have to do is help Lilin with her quest—then she will take me back!
