Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 180: Queen of the Night
Amelia’s POV:
I tried hard to give a reply to the Siren Queen, who was frowning at me now. But all the words got stuck in my throat. What can I possibly say to her?
By my prolonged silence, she understood what actually had happened. It was evident from her gaze that she was upset. Still, she concealed her distress from her face and looked at the girls who were now gossiping about Theo.
"My fellow Sirens," she shouted and silenced the whole island. "Now, it’s not the time for chit-chat. The Goddess Selene is waiting for us. Let the ritual begin!"
The Siren Queen then clasped her hands together and began to chant. The rest of the girls mimicked her gesture and chanted along with her.
"Goddess Selene, you are the Queen of Night
With your Silver rays, you are shining bright
With your enchanted beauty, you made our
land bright; Thank you for your generosity!" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
After that, the Siren Queen raised her arms up while facing the full moon above us and called out the Goddess.
"Mighty Mother of Night! Lend us your Light
Bless us all on this auspicious night
I summon you to descend upon all of us
Fill us up with your love and bless us all!"
Soon all of us started to feel a surge in our energies as the sea breeze blew stronger across the shore. The island began to shine brighter than ever, and the tides in the sea were rapidly reaching the coast and drifting away. The Goddess is acknowledging our ritual!
"All Hail the Queen of the Night!" The gifted Sirens alone chanted at first.
Then the rest of them repeated the same and showed our gratitude to the generous Goddess Selene.

Once the ritual ended, all the Siren girls left the seashore. I was about to leave the shore along with them, but Queen Cynthia stopped me from leaving.
But just now, the Goddess Selene has listened to our ritual and blessed us all with her grace. I expected Queen Cynthia would forgive me as well. It seems like she is going to reprimand me after all!
She was staring at the sea waves, which were still rapidly moving back and forth from the shore.
"My Queen! I am sorry about what happened. I should have come clean to you before. I admit that I was so scared to confess the truth to you."
She didn’t take her eyes off the deep blue sea that was in front of her. "So he just left with that Perspicacious Fae despite my warning. Did he at least seem to be guilty of disobeying me?"
"Of course, My Queen! He seemed to be guilty," I responded to her.
Honestly, I didn’t know if he was guilty or not. Theo was pretty much excited to leave the lands. Still, I lied to back up Theo a little.
"Theo has made a huge mistake," Cynthia said while she still had her eyes on the water. "What he did is going to cause him even more pain."
She sounded so sure about it as if she had seen a vision about it. What if she had seen something like that?
"My Queen, did you get a vision on this?"
"Yes," she replied. I was terrified as I expected the answer to be no. If it is a yes, then it means that Theo’s fate is going to torment him again.
"Just before the ritual, I got a vision. In that, Theo was in excruciating pain. Even though the images were a little blurry, I am pretty sure that Celestia was the reason for Theo’s misery."
So her vision means that Celestia refuses to acknowledge Theo! He is going to be heartbroken because of her. I knew that this crazy idea of his will never works.
Women appreciate honesty more than anything else. Theo never wishes to come clean to her. He wants to keep on playing. But it’s not his fault either.
Theo can never tell the entire truth to her. Not until he becomes the King of the Celestial Realm. Until that, he should at least stay away from Celestia for his own good.
"They both are not meant to be together," she went on. "That is Fate! But that boy is trying hard to change fate every time and fails in it. I just don’t understand why that boy loves her this much."
This is the biggest question I always had. Why does he desire her so much? He loves her so much that even if she kills him, he would forgive her!
"My Queen, I believe that there is a strong reason for that. Theo doesn’t love Celestia just because she is pretty."
Cynthia, who was looking at the sea for this long, finally turned to my side as she was surprised by my revelation. "What are you saying? For this long, I thought that Theo desired her because of her beauty."
"No, My Queen. There is something more to this! There is something in Celestia that pulls him to her like a magnet."
"And what is that?" she asked me eagerly.
"I don’t know about it either. But I strongly believe that they both have a deeper connection."
She was not happy with my statements as I was not clear to her. But how can I know about this? This is the biggest mystery I have ever come across.
"So you say that they both are connected in some mysterious way?"
"Yes, My Queen! That is why Theo desires her like a madman. I noticed the craziness in his eyes every time he sees her. It is like he craves something from her."
"Amelia, it could be just lust. You are confusing that with something else here."
"No, I don’t think so. If it were just lust, then the craziness in his eyes would have subdued once he got her. But his craving for her never ends. So I conclude that if we need to save Theo from his fate, then we have to find out more about this."
The Siren Queen frowned at me and said," Amelia, you made a mistake by not revealing this to me before!"
