Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 139: Have faith in our King
Celestia’s POV:
Cynthia and Ivory were speechless for a while. I was tight-lipped too! This is my worst fear, and it has come true now.
Arcadia studied us all quietly. He was confused by our manner as he wasn’t aware of the whole truth.
He finally laid his eyes at me and asked me with hesitation in his tone. "Can you please tell me who has been marked by the Nephilim? I am afraid that I already know the answer to that. I think it is the King Silver Shadow! Please tell me that what I am thinking is wrong."
"I am sorry, Lord Arcadia! Your suspicion is right," I responded.
Arcadia was horrified by my response. "Is that why our King has disappeared? Is he still under the control of Nephilim now? This means destruction! I have to warn everyone in the realm now."
"No," I screamed out loud. " Our King is marked by the Nephilim. But I don’t think that he is under the control of the Dark forces. So it would be for the best if you don’t say about this to anyone in the realm."
Arcadia began to sweat as he listened to me. He wasn’t even able to stand on his own. He had to clutch the wooden table that was next to him for support.
"Your Grace, no individual was able to overpower the Nephilim before! Once an individual gets marked, they no more belong to the side of light," Arcadia said.
I realized something from his statement. No individual was able to overpower the Nephilim! Theo kept on telling me that he can face Lilin alone.
Everything made sense as I put the pieces of the puzzle together. I recalled how his eyes turned murky red before he disappeared. It means that he was performing a ritual at those times.
"This is all part of his plan," I said to them eagerly.
They all glared at me oddly. I looked at Arcadia and began to explain. "Silver Shadow wanted to stop Lilin all by himself before she caused major destruction in our realm. So he must have created a ritual to impress the Nephilim and to acquire the powers of the Anti-Angel! He succeeded in it! Now he has the ability to stop Lilin."
Cynthia’s face brightened up a little as she heard my explanation. Even Ivory appeared to be a bit relieved. But Lord Arcadia was still scanning at me skeptically.
"I am sorry, your grace. But I don’t have faith in the ways of our King anymore," he snapped out.
"But why?" I asked in surprise. " His highness has it all under control. Just this night, I met with him, and he told me that he would succeed in his quest."
He shook his head immediately and let his reddish-brown hair sway along with him. " His highness could have performed that ritual with the good intentions of eradicating the Demon princess. But that is not going to work! As I said before, no one can come back to the side of light once they are marked by Nephilim."
I got anxious again. Does this mean that Theo can never come back to the side of light? No! That can’t be true!
In the dungeon, Theo told me to have faith in him. He promised me that he would eradicate our opponents and come back to me. I still have faith in him!
"I have faith in him too," Ivory blurted out as she read my mind. "I have known Theo for a long time. He never does an action without a complete plan! He has never once failed in any one of quests."
Arcadia looked at Ivory and said," But this is different! We are dealing with the Anti-Angeles here. They are the source of all the darkness."
He turned his gaze to me and continued to blab out. " I think that our King has reunited with his former lady love Lilin! That must be the only explanation for this."
He sounded just like my father. For the past two days, when I was in the Highlands, I kept on hearing my father say this same thing over and over again.
Arcadia then stepped forward to me and got on his knees. He bowed his head slightly and cried out," Your Grace, only you can save us all from the massive disaster that is about to occur. You are the Dawn, and you should do something about this."
"Lord Arcadia," I shouted out ferociously. " I request you to stop assuming such fables like this! Would you please try to have faith in our King? He will definitely succeed in his quest."
As I raised my voice, he got intimidated by me.
"Your Grace. I have immense faith in you. So I believe your words too! I will be patient until his highness completes his quest."
Finally, he agreed with me! I didn’t know if he agreed out of fear or faith. But either way, it works for me.
"It would be for the best if you don’t say about this to anyone else in the land. I don’t want my people to get panicked unnecessarily," I instructed him.
"I will not say a word to anyone about this," he responded politely.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another day had gone without me getting a wink of sleep. I kept on thinking about everything that happened in Lord Arcadia’s chamber. He was panicking to his bones, but somehow I managed to convince him!
I went out to the castle gardens and faced in the direction of the sunrise. I knelt on the ground and began to pray to the Sun God.
’Holy Aiden! Please help Theo to succeed in his quest. If everyone’s worst fear comes true, then it will be a disaster! I have faith in Theo, and I have faith in you that you will guide him.’
Just when I was talking to the sun god, I smelled something lavender. My prayer was interrupted after that, and I immediately opened my eyes.
Queen Cynthia was standing in front of me. " I like the way you stood up for Theo and defended him," she said and beamed.
I smiled at her in surprise. This is the first time she has said something nice to me!
"But Celestia, I wasn’t completely honest with you before."
