Food Stall: Customers Chase Me across the Country-Chapter 311 - 312: First Time Clamming
"Impressive, I didn’t expect there to be so much fuss over just one color."
Wang Fan gave a thumbs up in praise.
"Hehe, I did a complete guide, ensuring the boss will come back full from this beach trip!"
Zhuo Qianqian said with an expression of ’praise me quickly’.
Wang Fan laughed, "Truly a reliable little assistant, we must return with a full load today, let’s go!"
"Destination, East Border Sea Park."
It’s about 50 kilometers to East Border Sea Park, they set out at 5 o’clock and arrived around a little past 6. Upon arrival, they found that quite a few cars were already parked there.
"Are there really so many people here for the beach trip?"
"Yeah, it’s really popular, a lot of people from Beijing come over early for this."
Wang Fan pulled a big backpack from the car, containing tools for the beach expedition.
Looking at Zhuo Qianqian who was shielding her eyes with her hand while tiptoeing to look into the distance, Wang Fan looked at his backpack and suddenly had a bold idea.
He played this game as a kid, wondered if playing it with his girlfriend would feel special?
"Put your legs through the straps of this backpack."
"Hmm?"
Zhuo Qianqian looked at Wang Fan upon hearing his voice and asked puzzledly, "What for?"
Though unsure what Wang Fan had in mind, her two tender legs had already slipped through the straps in advance.
Wang Fan laughed, "Let you experience what it feels like to be Superman."
Then he slipped his arms through the straps, grabbed hold of Zhuo Qianqian’s knees, and stood up directly.
The soft, smooth feel and impressive elasticity under his arms made him blush and his heart tremble.
The sudden height made Zhuo Qianqian exclaim, causing her to involuntarily lean on Wang Fan’s back, far higher than usual due to the backpack.
Once Wang Fan had Zhuo Qianqian secured on his back, he began to stride forward. As she got used to it, Zhuo Qianqian was no longer tense, raising one arm high and bending the other into a classic Superman flying pose.
"Charge, hahaha!"
The two walked toward the sea, leaving behind a trail of silvery laughter and Wang Fan’s unrestrained, hearty laughter.
This handsome couple naturally caught eyes, and their playful display attracted many beachgoers’ glances.
A man in his fifties sighed, "Ah, to be young, back in the day I had this kind of energy too."
The woman beside him rolled her eyes in disdain, "You? Even carrying me to the toilet is hard, yet you claim to have that energy? Who are you kidding?"
The man protested, "I hadn’t slept all night and was out of form that day! Get on my back right now, and you’ll see if I can carry you!"
The woman scoffed, "You should rest, if you fall with your old arms and legs, I’ll have to take you to the hospital."
Among the beachgoers were various young groups, usually friends from the same dormitory, the boys looked at Wang Fan enviably, feeling that if they had such a pretty girl on their back, they could run faster than a high-speed train.
Meanwhile, the girls looked at Zhuo Qianqian with envy, imagining that if such a tall and handsome guy carried them as light as a feather, they too could outpace a high-speed train.
Wang Fan, who was always physically fit, ran with Zhuo Qianqian to the edge of the coastline, where a massive semi-circular barricade blocked the seawater.
At this moment, the sea had started to recede, and one could clearly see the change in water level on the barricade.
Zhuo Qianqian, still on Wang Fan’s back, said, "Boss, let me down, I want to take photos."
Wang Fan felt quite comfortable carrying her and refused, "No."
Zhuo Qianqian chuckled, "Aren’t you tired? We’ve run several hundred meters, let me down."
Many people were watching them from the barricade, making Zhuo Qianqian slightly blush.
Wang Fan was a bit embarrassed too but was reluctant to let go; the feeling of carrying the world on his back was truly intoxicating.
"Be good, let me down."
"No."
"So many people are watching, be good."
"Let me carry you a bit longer."
"Come on, boss, let me down, be good, I’ll give you candy once we go back."
Wang Fan laughed, "Are you trying to coax a child? Offering me candy and all."
Zhuo Qianqian sighed, "Aren’t you acting like a child right now?"
"Kids can’t carry their girlfriend. Their parents would scold them."
"How long are you planning to carry me?"
"Never long enough in a lifetime." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Zhuo Qianqian blushed, shocked as she looked at Wang Fan.
Did these words really come from her normally introverted boss?
She felt as if she had just been filled with a jar of honey by Wang Fan, indescribably sweet.
"Let you carry me more when we go back, quickly put me down."
Wang Fan tilted his head, and Zhuo Qianqian blushed as she looked around, "So many people are watching!"
"Close your eyes and no one will see."
He had already closed his eyes anyway.
Zhuo Qianqian was speechless. Closing her eyes meant she couldn’t see others, but did that mean others couldn’t see her?
Did he think she was silly?
Nonetheless, seeing Wang Fan’s unwavering determination, she closed her eyes tightly and quickly pecked Wang Fan on the cheek like a chick pecking grains.
Only then, reluctantly, did Wang Fan let her down.
He wore big sunglasses, and felt too shy to look around, pretending instead to gaze out to the sea.
Yet, upon looking, he felt a bit disappointed.
The seawater, well, he was at a loss for words.
The sea water beheld in Lu Dong was clearer, perhaps not as blue as in Sanya but certainly blue.
Yet this seawater wasn’t just not blue, Wang Fan would rather call it muddy, looking more like a concrete barrier.
Zhuo Qianqian shook her little fist in frustration, knowing from Wang Fan’s expression that he was disdainful of the seawater.
"The low terrain downstream of large rivers causes the flow to slow, and the river mouth is generally more open. As the river water flows here, the speed slows further, causing the silt carried to deposit and accumulate here. So, the seas in Tianjin tend to be murkier. But boss, don’t underestimate this place; nowhere else promises as big a haul of clams."
Zhuo Qianqian’s guide was well-prepared, and she explained the situation here concisely.
Wang Fan nodded; he initially thought it was due to pollution, but realized how naive he was.
The sea continued to recede, gradually revealing a shallow beach, people began to step down with their tools, digging on the beach, Wang Fan took Zhuo Qianqian, joining the crowd down to the beach.
"Look for densely packed small holes on the beach, dig there, and you’re sure to find plenty of clams."
