Food Stall: Customers Chase Me across the Country-Chapter 221 - 222: The Returning Spring Weather in May?!
"No idea!"
Zhuo Qianqian rubbed her long hair and threw herself onto the bed in a fit of pique.
He Lu Xue snorted lightly, "No worries, I’ll help you win him over! I think he’s just a rookie who doesn’t understand himself. But saying his heart doesn’t have you? I don’t buy it. Just this morning when both of us appeared together, his eyes didn’t even look at me! Tomorrow I’m bringing some serious stuff."
"Damn it!"
Wang Fan used the dirtiest word he could think of.
Not for any other reason than realizing his RV was soaked like it had been dipped in water.
Not only could you feel water by touching the RV walls, but even his clothes could be wrung out!
No wonder sleeping felt sticky last night; he thought it was just sweat.
Opening the curtains, he saw the sky outside was gloomy, with no sign of rain nor any hint of sunshine.
"What kind of crazy weather is this?"
Wang Fan pulled out his phone and instantly understood the situation. Mainly, the internet was flooded with people cursing this crazy weather.
"Damn return of the South, are you kidding me? It’s already May, should you check the calendar before deciding to show up?"
"You dirty street rat! All my underwear is wet! How am I supposed to go out?"
"If I toss a Luo Fei in my living room, it could survive two days!"
"My first visit to Guangfu, and I run into the return of the South. Any tips from locals on dealing with this?"
"Wow, upstairs big shot, just surrender already. After all these years, we haven’t got any solution. Oh, actually, you could close your windows properly, it might help your Luo Fei live half a day less."
"If your air conditioner has a dehumidify function, turn it on, but prepare blankets first; it’s even colder than using the cooling setting!"
Seeing these messages, Wang Fan figured he didn’t need to search for how to deal with the return of the South.
He couldn’t help but start feeling sorry for the brothers in Guangfu.
Fist-sized cockroaches and this bizarre return of the South would make anyone curse; what kind of harsh environment are the friends in Guangfu living in?!
Rumor has it they also have dragonfly-sized mosquitoes; true or not, the previous two things are enough to leave people speechless.
The siblings of Guangfu, it’s tough for you to have survived till now!
After searching through boxes for a long time, he found one dryish cotton T-shirt and a pair of long pants, and he used a hairdryer to make them wearable.
As soon as he opened the car door, a chill swept in, making him suspect he’d slept several months away overnight.
Yesterday was sunny and hot with short sleeves, and today it’s cool and chilly with long sleeves?!
Is Guangfu weather always this nonsensical?!
"Bang!"
Before stepping out, Wang Fan quickly shut the door and shrank back into the car.
"Ding, detected excessive humidity inside the vehicle. Enable dehumidification?"
"Enable."
"Dehumidification enabled, estimated time: 20 minutes. Recommend not leaving washed clothes outside, as they may easily grow mushrooms."
???
Wang Fan was dumbfounded; what does ’easily grow mushrooms’ mean?
After some research, Wang Fan couldn’t help but marvel at the wonders of the world and how being well-traveled reveals the strange peculiarities everywhere!
The RV’s system dehumidification was indeed powerful, managing to bring the indoor humidity to a reasonable range before Wang Fan froze to death.
It thoughtfully provided a dry package, restoring his clothes and bed linen to dryness.
"Why didn’t I enable this feature while sleeping? Waiting until now?"
No response.
Shrugging it off, Wang Fan didn’t mind, but feeling the dryness inside the car, he chuckled. He wondered if the Guangfu brothers would be envious of his RV’s effectiveness.
Seeing it was 7 o’clock, Wang Fan started the RV to pick up Zhuo Qianqian and He Lu Xue.
Meanwhile, these two were trembling under their blankets.
The return of the South wasn’t something only Wang Fan encountered.
Leaving the bed felt chilly; staying in felt cold too.
But with something wrapped around, there was a slight psychological comfort, right?
"Yo... yo boss, how much longer till... till he arrives?"
He Lu Xue’s speech was stilted from the cold.
Zhuo Qianqian tightly covered herself with the blanket, "Just said he’s already heading out; he should be close soon, but I can’t ask while he’s driving, just wait a bit."
He Lu Xue wailed, "Wait any longer, and I feel like I’m gonna go die!"
Zhuo Qianqian felt like that too but didn’t pick up her phone to hurry Wang Fan; knowing the consequences, she wisely chose not to endanger anyone.
Finally, the phone rang; Zhuo Qianqian answered with quick responses before hanging up.
"Let’s go; he’s already in the underground parking."
Upon hearing that, He Lu Xue sprang out of the bed, the damp chill jolting her into alertness.
Halfway through her leap, she hesitated, pondering, "Hold on, how come the RV isn’t wet if indoors is? Are we literally stepping from the tub into the pool?"
Zhuo Qianqian shrugged helplessly, "What can we do? Anyway, let’s go down first, don’t keep the boss waiting."
They grabbed their bags and headed downstairs quickly. Upon seeing Wang Fan’s RV, they felt an unreal sensation as they entered.
Dry, fresh, like a spring bath under the sun.
"Why is your RV so dry?"
He Lu Xue exclaimed in shock while Zhuo Qianqian rushed to her small cupboard seeking clothes; the sticky griminess was unbearable.
Grabbing her clothes, she dashed to the bathroom and soon returned changed.
"Boss, the return of the South in Guangfu is terrifying, feel for the buddies in the South." Zhuo Qianqian couldn’t help but express after dressing, then handed He Lu Xue some clothes.
Gratefully, He Lu Xue changed in the restroom, feeling alive again with the fresh sensations.
"My RV has dehumidification and drying functions, so let’s grab something to eat, check out the local Guangfu breakfast culture."
Wang Fan had planned this, hearing of Guangfu breakfast culture back in Beijing, ready to explore it properly this time.
Since there were events to attend, Wang Fan didn’t go far, finding a fairly large place called Guangfu Restaurant nearby.
Despite it being just 7 AM, entering revealed a bustling crowd, with waiters diligently wiping water off walls, yet the locals’ enthusiasm for morning tea was undampened.
"Order whatever you like; it’s on me."
